As can be seen on the first screenshot, in landscape, the pulse widget that has its original size when you initially add it on your honescreen (the one on the right) is too small to display all its content and needs to be resized to achieve a more appropriate look (one on the left.) However, if you change the orientation from landscape to portrait...
...the resized pulse widget (one on left) that looks alright in landscape becomes compressed while the pulse widget (on the right) with the original size looks okay. On top of that, they'll be overlapping each other. (-_-)
What I'm trying to achieve is to have them look okay in both landscape and portrait orientation. I'm looking at putting about 6 pulse widgets in my feeds homescreen. Do you think its possible? Is there an app/widget that can help me achieve this?
Thanks in advance, y'all!

Concept: heads up display

Would it be possible to create a program that acts like Yahoo Widgets' (Konfabulator) HUD or Apple's Dashboard? In other words, dim the today screen and load a few light widgets (calendar, to-do list, weather, time, etc.).
Kind of like this; pictured with Grumps' iPhone launcher.

This would be fantastic!
That would be great, especially paired with a decent screen lock. I mean, when screen is locked and a key pressed this would show over today, when unlocked, it would go back to today.
I like the idea. S2U2 does some of that already but I like the detail of the pic.
Curious G.
actually, S2U2 does all these things..
It would be nice if s2u2 would take a snap shot of your actual today screen and fade it out before adding its own graphics (ie slide bar and sms count etc) over the top. Might be a bit much to ask though i guess

i agree. i use often my yahoo wigets hud on my laptop to catch snipets of information, plus they just look great. anywho, how cool would it be if there were a base engine and open sourced widgets for an application? one click (e.g., center button) to bring up the hud to and one to close.
here's another concept:
evilc..is kinda working on Today screen Widgets..maye he can shed some light
Yeah mine was more basic though, but there is a new project starting which looks really promising: XIAMultiTheme
Open source and can load widget dlls - will be nicely extendable methinks.
the only real thing i would like to see a quick calendar (even if it were text only) and day runner.

Hey,
Ive written a Listcontrol with Scroll support. It supports scrolling, activating
and dragging ( wait short when touch the Display, then you can drag ).
This Zip contains two files, grid view and list view.
It would be nice if you can test it, and give me a feedback. For testing it is also a little ApplicationLauncher, which should work for english ROMs.
It requires .net compact 2.0

The control itself seems to work fine on my T-Mobile Wing, although the font in the grid is way too small and the grid's scrolling seems smoother than the list's. The list is kind of slow.
Also when clicking on the task (outlook) application in the start menu (both list and grid), it crashes:
at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfor startInfo). It's part of my recent programs list, so I don't know if that could be the reason?
Do you plan to release the control?
Working ok on my prophet grid icons and text to small list just plain white grid runs better and managed to start screen shot

Hey,
thanks for your answers, its nice to show you're interested.
I have just changed the ListView, so it scroll like the Grid one, and shows Icons.
With the icons and App Launch Exception I have to look, what could be done, but I will find a reason ;-)
Sorry for second Post,
I have now changed the Font size in Grid view,
you ll find it in Atachment
greets doena
PS: please dont use the minimize button, it doesnt work well

[WAD2] Working on a concept: Feedbacks?

So, I'm working on a concept called Devonshire and I'd like to get people's opinions on it.

What I want to do with the photo stack is actually keeping the white frame and cutting out the photo so users can add their own photo underneath to simulate their own photo. Is there a way to do to this and make the photo cycle at a predetermined interval?
The Home Page icons are all new and semi-transparent. The 1st icon will bring up a sub-menu with 6-8 most common used programs. The 2nd icon is the phone icon. The 3rd icon is the alt-tab icon. The 4th is the S2U2 icon.
I'm thinking that pressing on the clock will open the "next appointment" dock.
What do you guys think?
Terrific concept. Look forward to the finished product.
I updated the first page with the five different tabs side-by-side. Right now, I'm about 80% done with getting things installed unto WAD. By later today, I should have a version that I can upload here =D
For both the apps/settings page and contacts page, the bottom right and bottom left corner of the book will change the pages (docks).
I have a question: For the home page, is there a way on WAD to make the photos change every 5 min automatically?
Also, I haven't played around with the built-in agenda in WAD, but is it possible to use the graphics I have for the agenda (Today header strip, highlighted strip, day header strip)
Any feedbacks?
It looks a little cluttered to me, but it still looks nice.

Smaller version of the HTC flip clock with weather?

I was wondering if there was a 'narrower/less wider' version of the standard HTC flip clock with the weather integrated, something which is 4 x 1 perhaps?
Or even something with 4 x 1 dimensions that still has a nice looking clock (to one side?) and the weather to the other?
Thanks.
EDIT: Tried to achieve the looks with separate 2 x 1 widget for clock and weather but the look doesn't integrate too well (!)
I don't know anyway to get around what you want but i use one called Beautiful Widgets from the Market place, same sort of thing weather and clock but you can have the smaller home version running and takes up very little space and you can download new skins from the market, very good if the main htc app doesn't have your weather location on as it doesn't for me, a few pics from the net to give you an idea.

If you look on the video i made of my Desire you will see the smaller version of it running and you get lots of other different widgets as part of the package.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjLo3OjWxZA
The one in your video seems good; anyway to change the font on that particular one or are they all set/fixed?
From what i can see on mine there are 3 fonts but all look mostly the same.
You get 3 basic fonts but if you download different skins they look totally different
Is there an option of 'location' based weather with this particular widget?
I saw the Weather Widget, which seems identical to the HTC one.

Samsung Sidesync

have been looking for way to mirror and control my view tablet from my pc and had pretty much settled on scrcpy (which is awesome) after trying alternatives such as teamviewer, vysor, etc... unfortunately tho, as far as i can tell, you can't transfer files using scrcpy and the mirrored resolution isn't that great... i tried samsung's built-in sidesync, but it appears that it was designed more for mirroring in portrait mode in that the landscape mirroring is strecthed vertically, at least on my system, which was disappointing because the mirrored resolution is outstanding plus it offers a lot more bells and whistles than scrcpy, including file transfer... thing is, i use mirroring a lot, so the funky screen resolution (stretched) bugged me, it probably won't bother most...
anyway it was an easy fix, just by editing 2 skin files (xml, jpg):
