Hi all,
I've built a Rom kitchen which you can see in the following link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1148033
I'm now looking into improving it, and would like to ask for support in programing.
the kitchen is built in java code.
my plans for the near future:
1. add them support
2. add init.d scripts support
3. improve GUI
4. build a complete user manual
5. support rom edit from tar to zip base rom - to released patched rom
help on any of the section will be greatly appreciated.
thanks all.

how i can build my own cooked ROM
Which device? Almost all devices include a cooking tutorial for them so look into those
i am also looking for a kitchen for trinity but for windows vista...can't seem to find one that works...
Hi, I'm also looking for a tutorial aimed at no specific devices.
I mean, informations on how to start, what to study, not a kitchen guide.
I'm interested in bin to nb0 conversion, and other needed stuff..
I'm looking forward to build a custom rom (nothing big, I just want to remove some embedded stuff that conflicts with 3rd party apps) for Samsung Omnia / i900.
Any help appreciated, thanks
My friend has the Mogul and on PPCgeeks.com he installed buildos which is a totally customizable rom that allows you to choose what you want on it upon installation. I and many others I'm sure would love to have something similar. Any info on this would be great!!!!
Future thanks!!!!!!1
that's what runs inside of the simple wm6.1 kitchen I posted. All you need to do is change OS files (SYS Folder and XIP) from my old clean developer edition to newer and more stable ones made by -MyHTC-, Erofich, etc.
I also recommend learning about UC (User Customization) 2.0. Search for it on xda. Really useful for on-the-fly type customization, but the ROM image needs to be compatible.
Still trying to find some time to develop my WPF kitchen...thinking about multi-device support...

So forgive me for my ignorance, but if I'm already running on My-HTC rom will your kitchen work. And I did notice the kitchen before, but I took a look at it and felt I was getting in a little over my head. I have flashed my phone a few times and tweeked it out a lil, but by all means, I am still fairly new here. So I'm gonna do some homework myself based on ur feedback, but thanks again and we all look forward to seeing more of your work
As title, I am trying to find an expert on android, basically I have android 1.0 from a package released a while ago in the athena forums, I also have a config file that I believe adds touchscreen drivers etc and there is also a kernel patch.
If I am correct these need to be applied in a linux enviroment, something I dont have or know much about, so I am asking for a bit of help.
Is it possible to:
a)Apply the patch file to a newer build 1.6 or 2.0 and see if it works?
b)Apply the config to the 1.0 kernel I have downloaded to try it
Ideally if possible I would love to have option a.
Could someone let me know if any of this is possible and if someone out there is able to do it for me.
Thanks
Hi, a few people have asked me for permission to include my application suite in their ROM's and I dont mind at all. You may distribute Touch Tools 2.0 Suite on the following conditions:
1. The application is not modified or reverse engineered in any way.
2. The folder structure and icon rank are preserved.
3. The applications start menu icons are not changed.
4. Credit is given in the ROM thread.
