[Q] Help: stuck in boot screen - Fascinate General

good morning everyone!!
here is todays challenge...
i was able to get OMFGB 1.3 nightly on my phones yesterday. YAY!!!
but when i started to restore my apps and app data. Some of the apps restored just fine...others...not so much. I got an error while restoring about parcing (i didnt spell that correctly). so i let TiBa do its thing...when it was done i started getting FCs with my Music Beta App.
FCs were coming from everywhere...calendar...facebook...
so i went into recovery (via power button) got into recovery, wipe data (only), and then reflashed OMFGB 1.3 nightly. and i rebooted...and got stuck at the GALAXY S and CYANOGENmod boot screen...
so what i did was plug it into my computer so i can do a adb reboot recovery...and well...now command says it can find my device...actually it says there are no devices...
can someone please help me out??
thanks in advance!!
(ps i'll be on for the next hour...)

ok here is my plan of attack...
i'm going to flash back to stock using this unbricking method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124391).
then i'll flash CWM4 recovery and try again...
what do u guys/gals think?

[Q] I think I've jacked up my phone...

I tried to use SuperOneClick to root my phone and it seemed to work. The program came back saying I successfully rooted my phone.
I then went to ClockworkMod to install cyanogen and clicked on the appropriate boxes to begin the download process for cyanogen 6.0 stable mod and ran it.
My phone rebooted and started to run some scripts.
Now, the phone just reboots to the green mytouch screen and continues to loop like that and I have no idea what to do.
I can get into fastboot on the mt3g and when I do, my pc makes the sound that states that the phone is connected but when I try to get into the mytouch, using adb, my pc cant access it but when I plug up my G2, I can see the serial number and such showing that it is connected.
I tried to follow the fastboot driver installation page but it didn't seem to work.
Bottom line is I would really enjoy a functional MT3G in either the regular form or cyanogen (which is why im in this predicament now )
For the the record,
I was running 1.6 but got the OTA update for 2.2 before I ended up blowing up my phone.
Thanks for reading this and any aid would be greatly appreciated.
UPDATED:
I found something called SAPPIMG.NBH that allowed me load Android 1.5 onto my phone. I now am back to a functioning device but still, I am super stuck on trying to get cyanogen onto my device. Any helpful hints? From what you read above, did I miss something?
Thanks again.
... Sadness... I have been bashing my face against this mt3g and haven't been able to get cyanogenmod on this phone for the life of me. I have tried all of the builds from 5.08 up to RC1 of 6.10 and I just get the infinite loop at the cyanogen boot up screen. I even tried to flash 2.23.XXXX radio to see if it gets past the boot loop and it does not. Anybody have any insights into my issue?
Thanks,
You must go into recovery mode(boot up by holding down home + power). That will get you to Clockworkmod recovery(I am assuming since you said you downloaded using Clockwork app). From there you need to wipe cache, and anything else you can wipe. Then try installing Cyanogenmod after that. Without wiping the there is not enough space to install and it causes a bootloop.
I'm in the same boat, I'm stuck in a boot loop and I cannot get any ROM to fully load in. I'm using clockwork recovery Radio 2.22 32B.
I tried wiping everything but that still doesnt seem to work. I noticed when I try wiping Davlik cache I dont see any message on the bottom. I thought it would normally give me some sort of message stating that it is wiping davlik or something so maybe it isnt actually wiping it?
Is there some other way to make sure davlik is wiped? Or something else I can do. I just want the phone to boot up at this point. I can get into recovery but thats it.
I know I shouldve done a backup but dumb me was such in a rush I completely forgot, I know im a idiot...
Het I found that same .img file and also reverted back to 1.5 then just went up to 2.2 not sure what was wrong but Rom I put on just went into a boot loop. Maybe it was clockwork recovery.

the padawan becomes the master... Sort of...
The problem is that you cannot go directly to 2.2 from 1.5. You have to do the incremental upgrades that take you from 1.5 to 1.6 then 1.6 to 2.2

Stuck in the CW recovery screen, tried everything.

I searched everywhere, but can't find the same problem as mine. I am stuck in the CW recovery screen, after rebooting times after times.
I have been updating the CM9 nightly for a while, didn't have any problem. But when I tried to flash 02-17 nightly, I messed up and in the middle of the install (flash), I hold the power forcing to reboot. Now, it keeps going loop back to the CW recovery screen every time I tried to reboot.

I tried to reinstall the whole thing with the boot-able sdcard, but didn't work. please help! someone?
I tried to wipe, reformatted the system, data, cash, boot. Still stack at the cw recovery screen. Help...
I love my nook and have a road trip coming up. It will be nice to watch a kid movie to keep the kids entertained.
Had you flashed CmWR into eMMC?
Check the ROM information on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2.... this sounds a LOT like the problem 12paq had...

@Dizzyden, thanks for the tip.
I did repartition to 1g/5g awhile back. I am not sure where to start. 12paq tried many things, which one was the solution? Your rombackup.zip?
Many thanks....
@votinh
what do you mean? I am not using the N&O apps or OS. Pure CM9, therefore I guess it is flashed in eMMC. If not, please advice.

how can I check this"Check the ROM information on /dev/block/mmcblk0p2"?
please advice.
I tried to adb shell the nook, but not devices found? please help.
Finally, with the help from the good people of this forum, I was able to restore back to B&N, and reflash CM9 from there.
Thank to you all.
Yesterday my nook color was working great. Today I turned the screen on and it hung. Now I'm having the above problem with it hanging at clockwork recovery.
I've got CM7.1 stable on there running from emmc.
can't get adb to recognize the device since it is in cwr... how did you do it?

Install the google drivers for adb... if you are in CWR adb is enabled... just have to get the drivers loaded on your computer.
try this:

It may be that your "boot to recovery" flag is set, and if so, it will always boot to that until it is cleared. When the cyanogenmod logo comes up hold the n button until the boot menu comes up. Then choose boot to emmc. If it works, go to ROM Manager and flash a new CWM Recovery to emmc.
Welcome to the nightmare I lived last week. Don't worry I woke up, was able to fully recover and forget the dream ever occurred.
I to tried to reformat to 1gb/5gb and ended up in the same boot loop.. If you are in the same spot I was, your boot partition got wiped out. And you may notice EMMC is gone.
After much searching I came across a file... Looking....Looking...Looking...
..........................Ah yes here it is. Here is what worked for me.
1. Boot to recovery (Should be easy at this point)
2. Format System, Data, and Cache.
3. Install the attached Zip file. (RecoveryFix.zip), this should recreate the Boot partition and fix the EMMC.
4. Reboot to recovery
5. Install favorite Rom or restore from backup.
6. Reboot to test.
Again this is what finally worked for me, and I went through a lot of trial and error to get there. I am guessing at your situation being exactly the same as mine.
PS. Ignore my since of humor if you need to.

Bricked samsung galaxy 7.7 lte verizon i815 please help!!!!

HELP PLEASE!!!! I have the Samsung galaxy tab 7.7 verizon LTE sch - i815 version and im losing hope quickly. Im not sure which way to take to get a working tablet again. Im kind of a noob but have rooted and flashed many devices. Sorry if my thoughts are rambling or all over, but its been a long three days trying to get this to function and im not there yet so id appreciate any help I can get!
Here is what my sch i815 can do:
1) Get into recovery
2) Get into download mode
3) Restore backups that end up getting bootlooped with splash page
4) Install roms that end up in blootloop with the splash page.
5) Flash recoveries with odin
6) Charge tablet battery
One issue is when im trying to wipe before I install cm9 for the i815. When im in recovery and ive tried the p6800 and the i815 with same results, when I try to WIPE data / factory reset the tablet gets to “FORMATTING / DATA” AND THE TABLET REBOOTS TO THE SPASH SCREEN AND GETS STUCK THERE.
My problem is I tried to put the p6800 ics on my tablet and didn’t realize it wasn’t compatible with the sch i815. At first some of the p6800 roms would at least get past the Samsung galaxy tab 7.7 screen, but now its basically stuck there. The only rom or anything that boots past that is the cm9 for the i815. But that just boot loops from Samsung flash screen to start of cm9 and then back to flash screen. I had a backup that worked fine but now it installs the backup and get stuck at the flash screen only. I don’t know if I should try to get cm9 to load past the splash screen boot cycle or find a file to flash with odin which I see there really isn’t any for this model. I did find some posts about a cwm backup file 2012-05-06.22.48.58 and I cant get that to restore either.
When I try to do the zip that is floating around for cwm backup, I try to apply the backup 2012-05-06.22.48.58 and it says checking md5 sums… for a few minutes, then it says md5 mismatch!
I guess any help would be greatly appreciated. I see that I could try to get back to 3e recovery but I cant get anything on the internal sd card because I cant get anything to boot. Thanks for everyones time!!
Have nothing else in the subdirectory that has the recovery. Only the recovery. Nothing else.
me too
Same issue almost exactly with mine.
Got ICS installed OK and it was working fine then started to spontaneously reboot
I cannot restore nandroid backups that worked yesterday
Also interesting that when I try to format data in cwm it reboots
Now I can get an install of cm9 to complete but I'm left with a boot loop
This is an i815
I'm thinking partition table got jacked up
Any ideas out there ?
Thanks

fixed
OK Fixed!
how to:
Download android sdk to get adb.
Once you get adb ( adb is an executable program ).
Put tab in recovery mode ( I'm using CWM recovery ). If in CWM goto mounts and storage but dont mount anything.
then ( with tab connected via usb to computer with adb ) run this command:
adb shell e2fsck -yfDC0 /dev/block/mmcblk0p10
For me this fixed some jacked up inodes
Once this was complete I was able to do a full wipe without reboot, reinstall ics and it came back up all good
Hope this helps

OK. Great to hear. I'll try tonight after work. Which ics are I running by the way? Cm9 or the i815?
I'm running the cm9 for i815 from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1542911
works great except for the lack of GPS and LTE, I can live without LTE by tethering but GPS is a show stopper for me so I'm likely going to revert to Honeycomb

[Q] Can't get into recovery, no matter what I do... (Rooted, running rom...)

Ok, I just started experiencing an issue. I suddenly can't get into recovery. Here is a little back history. My N7 was running CNA 3.6.6 (I know, but...), and I was bored so I decided to try ParanoidAndroid. Well, I have that gotta try something else feeling again, and when I try to get into recovery, it will go to the google screen, then go black for about 10 seconds, then go back to the Google screen and boot up. This happens if I reboot to recovery through the power menu, or getting into recovery from the bootloader. I even tried Quick Boot, in hopes it had some magic I didn't. No luck. The same crap. I even switched from TWRP to clockwork recoveries, and the same crap happens (I tried the same things I did originally).
Also tried through other apps too, like Rom Manager, Rom Toolbox, and TiBu. Everything works, but I am bored with this rom... I have tried turning it off, plugging the N7 into a PC and trying to get into recovery. Again, I can get into the bootloader, but as soon as I select recovery, it goes black, then fully reboots...
Anyone have any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you tried re-flashing a recovery image, eg TWRP 2.3, from fastboot?

Scheiße, I reflashed TWRP in fastboot, and I am getting the same result. I think my N7 forgot it has a recovery!? I will try flashing clockwork through fastboot and see if this works. Thanks for your help...
Edit: Clockwork does not help. There is no recovery for me. I am now at a loss. Hopefully someone will have some suggestions...
Finally got my recovery back...damn latest bootloader!
Yeah, this has sucked. I have spent several hours figuring out what the hell went wrong. It turns out its the latest bootloader. Others are having this issue. So, I had to go back to stock (which will erase EVERYTHING) and then had to re-root. Now that my bootloader is back to JRO03D, I am back up and running.
So, the first time I did this route, I decided to take the update and re-root my N7, and ran into the same issue. I could not get into recovery. So, I had to do it all over, this time not taking the update and not updating the bootloaders, and I am now back and already have a ROM running and everything installed.
If you want to go this route, here are a couple of links that will help...
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/28544-guide-nexus-7-bootloadersrecoveriesrootback-to-stock/#entry764328 and go to the Back To Stock section. The next part is for rooting (if you wish to do this yourself)...

[Q] A500 Boot hang on 4.1.2 cm10-flex ROM

Hello all,
I realize you all are busy but I'm at my wits end here. I installed my bootloader and recovery using afterOTA. This worked really well, I installed Thor 1.7.3 recovery and ICS V8 bootloader using the utility. I then booted into recovery and did a factory reset (really), reset cache and dalvik, battery settings as well... I then went to install ZIP (JB 4.1.2 CM10-FLEX v6supercharged_Aroma-Rev3.4) from internal storage (download folder). I customized the ROM then went back and installed the random apps...
After this was done I hit next and installed the ROM. It didn't take as long as I thought it would, and I hit reboot when it was done, but came to a screen that I could press next on. The installer screen said it was installing permissions, it didn't say that it was completely finished, just installing permissions or something, but I was able to press next.
After rebooting, it started the stock android boot animation, got to the upgrading applications screen, after the applications were done "optimizing" it went back into the stock android boot animation. It never came out of it.
I'm confused as to what I am doing wrong.. I've flashed ROMs multiple times and I thought this one would be the easiest out of all of them considering I didn't care about the data on it and I'm just playing around.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Fixed.. I'm an idiot

Well, I kept working on it and I think I was just impatient. Maybe. Either way I went back and tried to reflash several times, doing the wipes from the wipe screen each time. No luck. Eventually I went and formatted the /system /data and all the other options in the mount/storage menu. I then did all the "wipes" again and reflashed. It worked this time! Running incredibly smoothly.
Thanks for reading everyone.
