Don't mind the ARM11 mentioning in the page. The D700 says the same thing.

Good Luck with that data cap. Owning a Galaxy s2 on AT&T is like driving a Ferrari down a gridlocked Los Angeles freeway.

If you buy an international sgsII then you can get unlimited everything for $50 a month on a prepaid ATT plan.
My sister uses a vibrant to get unlimited data/450 minutes/200 texts for $55 on her postpaid ATT plan.

how is that unlimited you said "unlimited data/450 minutes/200 texts", thats not unlimited if its 450 minutes and 200 texts and if im wrong and you meant to say it differently then you should explain better.
Besides its all like:
Sprint= Unlimited & Cheap but ****ty coverage
ATT= Drop Calls with crappy coverage, and ****ty phones
T-Mobile= Good Coverage But ****ty plans and ****ty quality
Verizon= Best Coverage, Best Phones, Too Damn Expensive, ****ty Customer Service.
'Nuff Explained!

Those were two different plans. My sister has unlimited internet.
I would say the carriers go like this
Sprint: Best price and value in prepaid and postpaid, second best 3G coverage, slowest 3G speeds.
T-Mobile: Second best price and value for postpaid, worst 3g coverage, second fastest 3G speeds (tied with AT&T)
AT&T: Second worst value in postpaid, second best value in prepaid, second worst 3G coverage, second best 3G speeds (tied with T-Mobile)
Verizon: Worst value in postpaid and prepaid, best 3G coverage, best 3G speed.
Before anyone asks, Wimax and LTE are 3G technologies.

Look I work for sprint the article was not true. The new plans are special pricing options for aircards and the galaxy tab when someone is on a everything data plan or higher. The data caps are nothing new for sprints 3g network which the cap I believe is 3gb for 3G. 4g data on any device is still unlimited the caps are only for 3g data because a lot of people were going over the 3gb and getting mad. 4g is staying unlimited but it will give customers more 3g choices and better prices if you use your device in a big 4g area.

How long befcore I get cancelled

I just got my letter today, finally, saying that I am using too much roaming data over the past 6 months and they will be monitoring me. Sprint service absolutely sucks in my area and unless I am on verizon I get crap or no 3g. I don't really feel like waiting till oct 7th to see if maybe (big maybe) my service gets any better.
I pay an extra 10 bucks a month for "premium data" so I should be able to use it!!
I have been waiting to get out of my contract with no ETF for a few months now so I am just curious about how long before they cancel me and will I be able to port my number to verizon once I do get cancelled?
Sent from my Epic 4G
U wont get verizon 3g with roaming either
And you will probably be blacklisted with the carriers i think
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Well, I roam on verizon with a modified prl and get full 3g off their towers constantly, anywhere I go. No one else has any input on this?

How much data on average are you using per month via roaming, just out of curiosity?
That only works if you roam a isht ton in areas that are known sprint dead zones. Anywhere else and they'll know somethings up

Spoke to sprint today
I spoke to Sprint today on this issue and since they do not offer quality service in my area and I am forced to roam in order to obtain good service (as i put it) they are waiving the ETF and I am able to move out of Sprint. I am not happy about this decision though. I love sprint where I have lived before in Florida and other places in Pennsylvania but here it is terrible. I will miss my epic and this community but I am doing what has to be done.

I work in security. Basically I babysit empty buildings so I tether on my laptop every night. Playing SC2 and WoW etc. I don't know how much I was pulling but it probably was around 10 gigs a month on average. I think the fact that I've been consistently high for the last 6 months did it in conjunction
with the 4S being released. My roommate on his evo got the boot too.

Also I'd like to add that the stratosphere (since I was on Verizon for a week trying it out) is a good phone but f verizons data caps. I'm not paying $10 a GB. I don't care who you are money doesn't grow on trees like the way Verizon sees it. I live in Miami so network coverage is iffy on all carriers. Verizon was the worst for me, getting complete data black out zones in great areas. Sprint had the best coverage for me 3G wise but was pretty slow. I'd never get 4G at work. Now on tmo I'm getting 1.5 mb/sec to 1.8 mb/sec over 4G at work. So that's a huge performance gain for me and I haven't even rooted my SG2 yet. Tmo doesn't charge for tethering. Unlimited everything. So yeah I'm pretty happy as long as I don't get teh boot from tmo.

I wonder if the tethering did anything.
SC and WoW use different ports, so I'm sure some easy packet sniffing paints some major red flags. 10 gigs shouldn't trigger any red flags.....

That was a long waste of a process. Verizon and AT&T control 75% of the market. Sprint and T-Mobile USA are too small to survive on their own. They cannot keep pace with the capital investments of the much larger Verizon and AT&T. Sprint is struggling to build a 4G LTE network, and T-Mobile does not even have any immediate plans for one. I am hoping that some big outside investors (Dish Network, Google, etc.) come in and buy out the small carriers and make the necessary cash infusions. As a consumer, I want affordable, nation-wide mobile broadband with high (or unlimited) data caps.

Extremely tired of slow data

Don't get me wrong, sprints unlimited data is awesome, but when I have to struggle loading simple 4 minute videos online, I get annoyed. Even with full bars the service is garbage. Sprint obviously doesn't "owe" me anything, but some tower upgrades would sure benefit their business.

Sprints philosophy goes like this, "Use your wifi for faster speeds and don't expect **** from our network" They call themselves the now network, but its more like the now or later network.

Richmond, VA has 4G.
Sent from my Cyanogen Epic.
The $10 is for "premium data". When I tried to discuss the reason for it with a rep around the time I got my phone she said it was 'because of the amount of data I would be expected to use.' That I was paying for the 'Ease and likelyhood of uploading photos and videos through the phone network.' And 'because of the availability of 4G speeds in select areas.'
Every phone I've ever had has been a smart phone.
I use no more data on average with my Epic than I did with my last two Windows Mobile phones before it. So, I am paying more to do things I (more or less) could already do.
At home I have an AIRAVE. Though I live ~1mile from the nearest tower I typically have no signal or drop calls like crazy without it. I also use WIFI for my internet when at home. Outside of my neighborhood I have no complaints though.
4G is not available within 3hours drive of me. I have used it for a total of 10min since I got my epic at launch. That was at an airport while on a layover.
I cant complain much about my speed... my girlfriend is stuck at 1x because 3G flat out isnt available to her anywhere in my city. But I do pay $30/month more.

Premium Data (required for this device) - $10.00
We require this add-on for phones made to deliver a superior wireless experience including Web, email, video and social networking.
Additional details:
The Premium Data add-on charge is required for smartphones.
Sprint smartphones currently are: Android, BlackBerry, Palm, Instinct and Windows Mobile phones.
On average, smartphone users use 10 times more data than customers with basic or feature phones. With this charge, Smartphone customers will continue to receive unlimited data and experience Sprint’s simplified services and rates, being able to take advantage of a rich data experience while on the Sprint network.
If you would like an unlimited data plan, for a lower rate, and avoid this charge, you may want to check out some of our feature phones which do not require the $10 Premium Data add-on charge.
