What are your thoughts on the upcoming release?
What will be is fixed, what will be is added and what is still broken? Flash still an issue?
Browser typing lag fixed? Some report it better, some say it's still the same.
[Q]Will you be able to retrieve the update when being on a custom and/or rooted ROM?
No, you will have to go back to stock, or wait for a CWM build/Custom ROM to be released.
WiFi problems reported, are you seeing them?
SD Card support? http://blogs.computerworld.com/18692/android_32_upgrade
Do you like the new mouse cursor? Or what should we call it now?
'Default app not set' problem? See this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1191106

I scanned it yesterday to check for updates and nothing happened. After reading the tweet I decided to scan again and it literally took at least 6 minutes to tell me there was no update. Muahahaha can't wait!

Uhm, WW version is planned for August 2nd

To unroot or not to unroot
Hopefully someone can root this quickly

I wonder if this will fix some SOD/reboot issues.

And this isn't development.

Didn't Taiwan come out first for the 3.1 update? Or do you mean the most recent 3.1 ota?

I don't think there will be any more major updates coming after 3.2 so would be a good time to root my tf101.

I'll be EXTREMELY disappointed if the transformer doesn't get ICS via Official FOTA!

I was thinking: since the TF specs page on the Asus Web site now lists the Netflix app, I'd think that Asus has a real incentive to get 3.2 out there (which will presumably include said Netflix app). Otherwise, they're basically engaging in false advertising. So, since they haven't removed that reference (as far as I know, and it's been pretty widely discussed on the 'nets), I'm guessing that they definitely plan on pushing this update out pronto.
Which is cool. If 3.2 does come out tomorrow, and includes Netflix, I think the TF will be the first shipping Honeycomb tablet with official Netflix support.

I have no doubt whatsoever that we'll get official ICS on the TF. It flies in the face of reason to assume otherwise, I think. Seriously: what good reason would Asus have to NOT update the TF to ICS? Compared, of course, to all the very bad reasons...

Guys - it was my mistake that I closed this thread along with the other 2 duplicates. I apologize. This one should have stayed open.

Looking forward to it ...

Does ICS stand for Internet Connection Sharing????
The Netfilx app and being able to surf the net through my HTC Touch Pro 2 (rooted WM6.5) are my two biggest complaints with my 4 day old Transformer. Whether these are in the ASUS release of Honeycomb 3.2 will be my decision maker on whether to root or not.

Hope this fix browser issues and lag in potrait mode.

I am very excited for 3.2! And also I have a good feeling for us getting ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich).

I really hope that 3.2 update will solve slow portrait mode issue, laggy browser and slow pdf scrolling.
My 2 years old Ipad is silky scrolling through any type of files and I hope that Transformer will be too.
Good night to you all

im new to android, so im learning as i go
HC 3.1 will enable USB host for the first time and will allow for controllers to be plugged in to the devices. At the Google IO conference they had a 360 controller running their presentation on a Xoom.

I have to agree, my software is crashing like mad, especially market. 3.2 almost feels like it would be a emergency fix.
Ugh I know. Xoom had theirs months ago. Acer just got theirs
Worse comes to worse, ICS is being released to the public soon, a couple of months after that I would expect that we'll start getting nightly builds of the next CM.
Please, stop creating these complaint threads about 3.2. It gets old, nobody cares. Install a custom ROM and Overclock, whining won't make your experience (or anyone else's experience) any better.

What rom are you using?
What will 3.2 enhance over touchwiz? Would 3.2 make that much of a difference? It's also a little more work for Samsung to update 3.2 with touchwiz isn't it? When I bought the tab I knew Samsung was going to do a touchwiz skin for it, I kind of knew then updates would arrive later for the device. If updates were that important to me I would have purchased a more pure honeycomb tablet.

How do you know if it was 3.2 that improved the tablet, or changes Moto made in the update aside from 3.2 that made it better? Cause usually companies, when they offer OTA updates, don't just update the Android revision and that is it. They include bug fixes, update drivers, that sorta thing.

Well I've never owned a Samsung device before my Tab, but I have always read about how Samsung was always slow to update their devices. I myself would be/am more interested in ICS. And it kind of doesn't really sound like it would be smart business sense on Samsungs part to put all of the time into a HC 3.2 and TW update with ICS's release right around the corner.
From what I've read about HC 3.2 is that it doesn't really bring that much more to our Tabs. Plus I think (but not sure) its not so much HC 3.1 that's laggy as it is TouchWiz. Again I could be wrong...
I bought my Tab right before the TW update came out, used it for a week and installed ADWex. Then a week later did the TW update and just stayed using ADWex as my launcher, it runs super smooth and love how you can customize it to my liking. So I'm not all that familiar on how TW runs on HC 3.1, everything I've heard and read says it is laggy so...
And why the dissing on the eVo!!! I'm still rocking my launcher day (hw 003) eVo, rooted running Decks 1.2 (GB 2.3.5) overclocked to 1.2gigs and loving it. I got the Evo 3d when it came out and took it back a week later, felt cheap. Got the Nexus S 4G when it came out, samething it felt cheap and my OG eVo was already running 2.3 with all of the good and bad it has to offer. I think I'm to the point now we're I'm just going to wait for ICS to start hitting the market before I up grade.... My OG eVo 4G has and dose just about everything a lot of the newer devices do already.

This.
Here's the change log. As you'll see, nothing is dramatically different or improved. The major changes are scaling for GB apps and the ability to read media directly from the SD card. Anyone seeing huge differences is under the placebo effect or the OEM changed a bunch of drivers that didn't have anything to do with 3.2 specifically (performance wise).

Moto started contacting some device owners asking for their participation in a new Xoom-related project. There's a decent chance this project is actually an ICS betatest program.

Hahahahaha and a double LOL @ this thread. As an early adopter Xoom owner (got it the day it came out), and this really goes for anybody who has owned a Xoom for longer than 6 months, I'm used to software and features (4G anybody?) being implemented by everybody but Motorola first. Hell, with Motorola's track record and commitment to customer satisfaction, you should expect your official ICS to be released about mid August.

I would imagine that the GED Xoom will get ICS before Motorola push it out to non-GED Xooms.
I would also imagine that GED Xoom will get ICS before TP...
Unless Moto are taking full responsibility for the GED Xoom the same as the non-GED xooms - I would have thought they would want the GED to get ICS ASAP really...
Moto can then take their time and make sure stuff works really well with the Moto update for non-GED xooms...
As we have seen Google using ICS xooms at live shows.
It must mean its pretty stable, who would risk a crash on a live show when they could have honeycomb on it ( slow but not much crashes apart from the browser)
So Google having a working ICS for the last few weeks and no sign of sharing it it worrying.
If Asus do get the first ICS tablet out in the market beating the only GED tablet available, what does that say for future of GED tablets? does Google care about the tablet market?
The only reason I want ICS is that there is a slight hope the browser will be stable. So many large websites just crash. Normal websites hang lucky to get more then a few tabs open.

I dont think that the 3G and 4G Xooms can really be considered GED's since VZW has to tinker with the software and are responsible for pushing it out
The WiFi Xoom is, in my opinion, the only GED
Wish I had the WiFi version instead of my non-activated 3G version
And yet the Verizon Xoom is actually running the latest version of Honeycomb (3.2.4) while the WiFi Xoom is stuck on 3.2.1. haha

The differences in the versions have to do with fixes and features that are specific to those devices, ergo, the 3G/4G's 3.2.4 isn't any better than the wifi's 3.2.1.

Asus has some coherence problems with information management. XDA has coherent whine.

From twitter this time: https://twitter.com/#!/ASUS/status/164522714994974721
Hopefully they have made up their mind this time. Someone start the two-week countdown
Asus seems to have a problem deciding on when to release the real release-date and for how long it should continue to release prank-dates. The real release of the real release-date for the real release of ICS may or may not be right around the courner.
In the meantime, we could replace most of the world's nuclear powerstations with the whine contained in this very XDA thread. The power of both should more or less even out.
Good times.
Thanks for the update. I was waiting for an updated official source.
Too bad they can't just name a date. End all speculation. 'Mid february' is close but I want it less vague

Ufff, first, the update would be on the 1st of March, later, in Mach, and now in the end of March... I don't know what to think.
Did they say anything about the Asus Eee Pad Slider in the email?
Reps on the ASUS Facebook page have mentioned twice in the last few days that they have no plans for ICS on the Slider. And, the rep on the ASUS NA page even said that the slider isn't sold in the US...
