Hi all was wondering if anyone else is having the same issues or a work around.
I have a stock telstra SGS2 and when i go to samsung market app i see a heap of HD games but when i try installing it comes up with an error app not optimised for devices 8002.
Why would it show in the samsung market if it were bot for my device. Secondly how do i fix this?
Thanks in advance for any help
EDIT guy at telstra shop say its future proofed. Some software isnt enabled yet buts there for later updates. Maybe deves and samsung have released apps but not the rom update?

Same problem, both with stock Bell/Virgin firmware, and with KG3.
Haven't tested those HD games, every other app or game seems to work fine. I didn't try to install them, because they are just trials anyway. Let's you play just for a couple of minutes.

Hi all
I (like others I believe) was experiencing issues of not finding certain apps in the Market. The main example being Quadrant as we all rush to compare this firmware to the last!
I just wanted to say, I seem to be able to find these "missing" apps now (as of this afternoon) and wondered if other people who had the issue are finding the same thing?
Let's hope it's sorted.
Cheers
James
yes i had this issue too. I've not tried it yet but the whole last week i was not able to find some apps. this was a market issue and not a firmware issue. had this also on HTC devices and on SGS II devices
Happened the same with me yesterday. Do not afraid, it will be done!
aye same issue and just forgot about it and found an apk for Quadrant... just searched the market and its came up. I don't know much about the background of CSCs but is it possible, with it being intended for Germany, it messed up our CSCs and it took a wee while to fix?
Since this is not an official firmware, you will not have all the Applications displayed in the Market.
You could apply market fix or change your build.prop.
Google for more information. There are a lot of topics on the same issue.

As MOM2006 said, it was a market issue. Had it on JVO as well and also my S2. No need to mess with your build.prop

I had this issue once after flashing and it was widely reported on the google forums.
Basically, it fixes itself after three days.

Anyone heard anything about when the tablet optimised version of this is likely to hit? I've got it running on the Iconia but it's not the smoothest experience. Much better on my Xperia Arc at the moment! Hoping 3.1 will bring an improvement.
when you say running how long does it last before it FC? I just walk for less than a minute it bam fc....
works great for me. Only the character select screen lags a bit. I'm using 1.0.1 on the leaked 3.1 build.
Mine doesnt crash but the display doesnt fit properly and it lags. However I am still on 3.0.1 so heres hoping it will work after update!

Wow OK updated to 1.0.1 and its very good, even the cut off parts are gone. Well what I mean is there is no more cut off well just look at the pics below I'm currently using virtous Picasso 1.0.2 and other was on prime rom.
How did you get it to run on the Iconia?
Market wont let me download because its not compatible with my Acer A500??
Edit: nevermind, did a search for all devices version and could install the bugger
Purchased it from a compatible device tho, just to be on the legal side....
Question now is: i wont get updates the normal way now because Iconia market does not show the game even if purchased, grmpf:
Guess for the long term we have to wait for a lazy gameloft dev to extend the compatibility list for the game (played about 2 hours w/o a single crash yesterday, so the Iconia can handle the game sweetly.
Anyone managed to buy stuff @ ingame store?
For me connection just times out...

Yeah, same here. Times out every time
dont know if it just me but anyone have the "your system is not compatible"?
I been playing really good logged off then I tried logging back in and nada.
Maybe Gameloft finally detected the non approved system and blocked it?
No such issue here...
For me it force closes from time to time just after during startup (same applies to some other games/apps).
Also i had a "License invalid" once, but after another restart it was ok.
Anyone has the updated Market rolled to his/her device yet!?

Can't seem to install this. Anyone else got this to work?
Try to Uninstall the previous version with titanium backup
It works on Thunderbolt 2.2.1, stock.

I'll back it up with RootExplorer and try this out and see what happens. I'll let you guys know if it works on the N1....
Works on galaxy S2. Seems MUCH slower than the old market

Same. It works fine on N1, I did get an error at first but I got it working. Its slower then the regular market, but I like it overall.
The new market looks really good and works very smoothly for me.

Movie section of Market doesn't work with rooted devices
If your device is rooted, you won't have access to the Movies section.
Nice, Google, nice.

Working on rooted defy. Movie section is there. But not willing to 3.99 to test it. Someday. Running good though. Looks nice. Kinda reminds me of wm7

Working great on my N1... thanks for posting
I noticed that some apps vanish from My Apps in the new Market. I had about 4 apps to update in the old Market, two manual because of changed permissions. I left it as-is and installed the new Market. In the new Market, only the two apps without changed permissions appeared as updates in My Apps. The other two apps had vanished completely from the My Apps list. If I search for them manually they will still show up and I can update them though.
You may want to try clearing the data of the market app
Install the new market using the apk from android central.
I like a nice little improvement to the notification: it says "updating" instead of "installing" now
Yet, it is not performing fast enough... I feel laggy when using it. And the new UI looks like WP7 (though I personally like this new design )
Sent from my Nexus One using Tapatalk
so it's not just me thinking that it's really laggy ... maybe it's not the final version?
or maybe we now need a Dual-Core Phone to use the new Market
It runs fine for me on the N1 most of the time. The only lag I've noticed is when it's fetching the icons for the apps on the Staff Picks screen or similar. When the icons have been downloaded it runs smoothly. I like the Honeycomb/ICS-like design.
Downloaded Market from http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/07/12/download-the-new-android-market-v3-0-26-with-support-for-movies-and-books/ I am not sure when it will go live in my country so Downloaded from there..I love it but Kinda fell Lag.I think it is new so might take few days/weeks to fix it over it is SO COOL on SGS2 but I have a Problem I can't see Movies Option I think Movies option is not Available in my country yet
Yeah, movie section doesnt appear on my market using MIUI Rom.
Anybody else having issues with Facebook since switching markets? Logic says it can't effect of but since I updated the market, Facebook won't load. Happened immediately after installing the market.
don't be so quick to yell at google for blocking movies if you're rooted
it's pretty clear the movie studios wouldn't give them the licenses for the movies unless they blocked rooted devices
i mean, i'm not agreeing with the studios. cuz are they REALLY worried people are gonna ****ing steal ****ty low res videos off their cellphone? there's SO MANY other(better) ways to pirate these movies. but whatever
I am running 2.3.7 with the latest Typhoon Rom and there is a limited time $.10 apps advertised in the market. 9 of the 10 apps show on the device but this app is on market.android.com but I purchased it yet it would not allow me to send it to my device... actually no apps will allow me to send to my device (likely because the HD2 isn't listed as a supported phone on their site.)
https://market.android.com/details?...mdhbWVsb2Z0LmFuZHJvaWQuQU5NUC5HbG9mdEE2SFAiXQ..
Any suggestions on how to get this game?
I was able to install all these 10cent apps except Asphalt and Swiftkey. So you are not alone with this issue. Maybe our HD2 is really incompatible (graphic chip) ..

My phone appears as HTC HD2 in android market. Running 2.3.5 CM7 Typhoon rom. Can the phone appear as a Desire HD, or something else?
Does anyone know how to change this?
I've seen on Youtube that Asphalt 6 is plays pretty well on the HD2... I want to buy it but I can't see it in the market either.
I'm pretty sure that there is a way to change the identity, I think I recall people talking about it in the past when they had market issues with all the apps not being visible. I'd love if someone had a solution for this problem!

Install 4share from the market, in the 4share app type "asphalt 6 apk" download, (not all download links work so don't get upset if you don't score out of your first try) enjoy.
Furthermore, there WAS a market compatibility fix for the SD android version. I'm not sure if the workaround works for NAND as well. But try to search for it.
good luck!
I've been looking for a game like age of empires or star craft for my tablet. It seems that starfront is the closest thing to it, but I can't get it to work. Anyone know how to

Won't install?
The nexus is not of the supported devices. Game loft Site won't even allow to purchase. I've found the the apk file for all various devices, but it just crashes after the you try to launch it.

Would like to know add well
OK well if u use Google well enough you can find a version for the LG p990
Which if installed, it will download all the files needed and it will work on the n7
Sent from either Galaxy S3 intl or Nexus 7
both on stock at the moment!!
Tried installing the version for lg, but it won't download the add on. It keeps giving me an error.
I think I downloaded the add on, I think by using a different version and then just reinstalling it. I got the game to start, but it crashes after the first trailer plays out
Well I un installed it, and now I can't get past the add on download again. I'm not sure what I did last time, but I can't replicate it. I've paid and downloaded the lg p990 version from Game loft, but I can't get that to work either
I managed to get it working by using the Galaxy tab version to download the data. Then uninstall the game and install the LG version, it downloaded the data again but then worked.

Too complicated, I'll only play it on my playbook for now
Galaxy Nexus won't support
How many mb was the galaxy tab version. Mine was 526mb. I tried what you said, but it still says error when trying to download the add on from lg. Where did you get the apk files. I downloaded the lg version from Game loft. Which version of the galaxy tab did you get.
attached are the two apk file. one is for the tab the other for the lg p990. can anyone else confirm that they got it to work. i can't. i tried installing the samsung tab one, downloading the the add on, uninstalling it and then downloading the lg. however, i keep getting an error when the lg one tries to download the add. i've already spent over $20 to play this game, and i just can't figure out how.

can you please elaborate which tax version apk you used and which lg version you used.
Do a search for starfront collision all versions (torrent) it includes 8 apks. I've just reinstalled it to go through it again. Use the galaxy tab apk to download the data (526mb) The game FC's on startup. Install the lg p99 apk over the G Tab one and it works. Hope this helps everyone.

It worked. Awesome. Thanks
Don't spend money on Gameloft games if they aren't officially supported. I did this with Order and Chaos. Every update broke the game and it would say incomparable. They REALLY go to great lengths to only let their games run on specific devices. Toward the end, we had to deconstruct the APK files to remove the device detection code. It became way to complicated to be enjoyable.
I probably "wasted" $40 on Order and Chaos buying multiple versions to make it work and subscriptions and ingame app purchases... only to keep getting locked out for months at a time.
I have a really bad taste for Gameloft and simply do not support them with my cash if they do not want me to play it. So be warned. Don't drop cash on this unless you are seriously desperate to play it, because it may lock you out at any time.
the workaround explained here really works on Nexus 7.
But it just downloads 526MB of data and the graphics are not really the best.
However, if I use the Samsung Galaxy S II version, I get a download of 708MB. I believe these graphics should be better.
what do you say ?
Also, I'm looking for a version to run on Acer Iconia A100 and/or Asus EEE PAD Transformer (TF101).
These 2 devices have Tegra 2 CPU. Which version should I use on them ?
