SIM Switcher Software Compatible with WM5 ?

Howdy folks,
I used to use WiViT SIM Status Switcher with my Magician, which worked well.
I would like a similar application for WM5. (WiViT SSS will not install on my Wizard)
Does anyone know of such an app that will work with WM5?

SSS does install now, thanks. But how about the license. The code you were given wont work on a different device. . . .

Just had contact with one of the Wivit developers.
A WM5 version is planned.
Just give these guys some more time.

I installed the download link on my mda II, but I can not start the application, does anyone has a function version / software for switching in WM5?

Does anyone know where I can buy a dual sim adapter for the Wizard (XDA Mini S) please? I don't want one where you have to cut up the SIM.

It's a today item which has to be enabled from within settings

Next version STK compatible?
Hi,
I use a dual sim solution where you have to cut your sims.
This worked fine, and the new dual card seemed to work.
It even made a new entry in my program group called "Hypercard"
I didn't had time to fully check it out, but that program is gone after shut down the device or do a soft reset..
Any way to get it back?
I also tried Wivit Sim Status Switcher, but only the cab i found here (Sim Switcher.cab) worked, although i had to manually edit the registry to reflect my Dutch ROM. (Program Files to Programmabestanden)
It would be great if someone could create a Dutch cab or could tell me how to edit..
It doesn't seem to switch the SIM's though.. Possibly because i run WM5 or because the adapter uses STK? (Sometimes it just dissapears from Today/Vandaag screen..)
I really hope Wivit's next version is STK, WM5 compatible. (and multilangual?)

This version of the sim-switcher works great with my mai-12 dual sim.
One glitch though: after switching, the operator is not shown anymore. The software only says Registering...

Hmm, I found out how to get it back:
Disable in your settings / today / items the Sim Status Switcher
exit the settings screens until you're back in the today screen.
Enable the Sim Status Switcher again in your settings, and voila: There is your operator again.

Guys,
I've updated VJVolubilis to control the phone radio. I've put in a function to toggle the radio on and off, so for me, launching it twice will switch my dual sim. It should work on WM5, but I've only tested it on the emulator. Could I ask if anyone gets a chance, just to give it a quick go?

I cant get rid of the 'registering' . . . .

Like mentioned earlier in the topic:
Just disable/enable the plugin in the Today screen settings, it should work ok then.
I still hope the soon start replying to their mail..
They asked me to beta test and translate to Dutch, so i send them a Dutch copy of SSS, but haven't heard from them yet..

Irritated the hell out of me.
The Languange file is just a text file, choose you language and just edit the text. I replaced it with ablank space
B.t.w. I still can't use it to switch SIMS, I need to go to the STK, switch and then turn the GSM function off and back on again. Anyone knows witch DUAL sim adapter handles V1 and V2 sims and can be used with WiViT's switcher?

le_cactus: have you tried VJVolubilis? I use a dual sim that uses fight mode to switch. VJVolubilis hopefully works on WM5 and Wm2003 to switch sims this way.

Had my HD2 a few days, got some questions...

Hi -
I've had my HTC HD2 for a few days now, and I'll be putting my sim card in and switching to full use from tomorrow. My network is Vodafone UK. I just had a few questions and would really appreciate if someone could answer? I have already got through the main stickies and done some tweaks by the way.
1. Vodafone haven't released any official updates for the firmware themselves, and HTC doesn't allow Vodafone UK users to download them of their own website (other than hotfixes). So I just wanted to know, what am I missing out on by being stuck on the original firmware that the phone came with? DO the official updates make a big difference?
2. Auto-rotate seems to only work on some applications. Can I get it working on the home screen and ALL applications?
3. What can I do to improve my typing? I've set it to T9 and I'm slowly adjusting to it but it's still quite slow. Also, when is there anyway to automatically improve grammar? For example when I start sentences they do not automatically start with a capital letter and I have to do that manually...
4. I get an error with the camera/camcorder if Opera 10 Beta is installed. The camera will only work when it's uninstalled. Is there anything I can do to get around this?
5. Any must-have applications/games?
6. Is there anyway I can edit the registry on the HD2 through my PC?

I think if you search ... you will get the answer for most of your questions
1. Official Updates Makes the operating system more stable.... i upgraded to 1.48 and its much more stable.
2. you can add almost all programs to autorotate using BSB tweak (except home screen)
3. Typing is a universal problem ... search and you will find several topics and tweaks
4. Havent tried opera 10 yet... as it doesnt support pinch to zoom (multitouch)...
5. Must have apps (Skyfire.. wayyyyy faster than opera)
must have games (experiment 13, and xtract) both available to download on xda...

2. Home screen? No. Applications? Yes.

3. There are tips in the above thread. Phone will auto-capitalize after a full stop. Pressing space 2 times will put a . and then a space.

1.Yes. Gold card. I haven't done it, but browse this forum, there are plenty instructions.
2.Start button > Settings > Personalize (1st option) > Vibration
Translated from PT menus so names might not be accurate.

Sorted out the vibration now.
Regarding the gold card and changing the ROM... how would I pick a ROM to change to? And also, if I do change ROMS will I lose all my data?

i use CeRegEditor for that.

You will loose all data. Backup first.
There are ROMs for all tastes. Like picking a wallpaper, you must choose one yourself.
My advice would be, install the HTC original ROM (1.48).

Thank you. What is the recommended way of backing up before updating ROM?
Also, will updating to the official ROM include the radio ROM too or would I have to do that separately?
And finally... how would I download the official ROM still, even after gold card, surely the phone would still have a Vodafone serial number?

The Radio is probably not included in the rom.
You can download the rom from HTC site.
Ways to backup? Active Sync, MyPhone, GMail, etc (I use gmail for contacts and calendar for e.g. and do the rest by hand)

Hi -
I've never opened it before but can't find HTC Footprints anywhere on my Leo?
Any ideas how I can find it, or reinstall it if it's not on the phone?

It should be a tab in Sense. (It's one of the later ones, near settings. It's switched off on mine.)
I assume you've never switched it off, or you wouldn't be asking where it is, but on the home tab go to Menu, Personalise home screen tabs and scroll down and make sure footprints is ticked in the list.
If it's not in the list, your provider must have removed it. I've not heard of any doing that though. (Could be wrong).

I have the US HD2. Footprints has been disabled. Just follow johncmolyneux's steps.

[Q] Lock on Omnia 7

Hey guys,
I´m a absolutly newbie here, but i hope you can help me.
I got my Omnia 7 few days before and realized that i couldnt get mobile inet on it. So i would to ask whats my opinion to unlock it. (hope you arent so angry and sick cause of many posts like this)
I tried to jailbreak with ChevronWP7 but the programm says that it cant find any phone. then i startet to get a other rom on it and stucked by getting the download mode.
The phone os is on 7.0.7004.0 version.
I´m very thankfull for any help

Internet -> you have to type in the "apn settings" you find it under settings -> provider or anything like this, sorry have a german one
to know what you have to input, google for "apn settings <provider>"
Alternative way with the samsung tool (network profile) if it is in your rom.

No. Without Chveron, your only way of getting apps is through the MS marketplace.

so, what could be the problem that chevron can´t see my phone?
got the hole pogramm pack installed, registry key, the protocol installed but it won´t work

There was on April 14 application on Marketplace - Hidden WIFI. I have tried it on 7004 with no results. Now it doesn't exist.

I found Hidden WIFI app from the link provided from WPcentral.com and it shows me the application, but have no option to install. Looks like our phone with NODO is not recognized as possible device to install it. It is bad...

I'm having the same issue, I can see the Application in HTC Hub but there's no option to install. It's no longer in the marketplace.
Does anyone knows if HTC removed it ?
