This is a copy of a nandroid backup of the leaked chinese rom and has been rooted from a Milestone 2
This nandroid backup was taken from a milestone flashed with the leaked chinese sbf.
The text-to-speak service is not included, if someone knows how to install this service it would be great, I miss using google navigation with voice.
Good luck!

Only running it for a few days, everything is running fine.
Only thing I found so far camera button does not take pictures but works with onscreen button. Wi fi, data, GPS OK. As mentioned the TTS service is removed.

And, you were on stock rom, or were you using Argent2Stone?
EDIT: Done with the download, will start backing up some things, and will try to restore this nandroid backup; and report back, im on Stock Froyo.
are there any requirements for this chinese rom? Like the newest froyo update, I ve got argen2stone and I m worried that I ll brick my phone while restoring the nandroid backup :/
Still it isn't a real flashing, just a backup? So it won't change your sbf from froyo to gingerbread, am I right?

How long did it take to boot? I'm on the 2.2.2 Movistar rom, and I restored the nandroid backup, wiped the data/cache and got stuck on the M logo after it flashes. After about 15 minutes I gave up and restored my backup.

WTF? And where the f**k is SBF? Can you upload it?
Try restoring factory settings from the default recovery. First boot did take a while around 10 mins.

Alright, I'll give it another shot.
edit: still stuck on the black M logo... used the motorola recovery to do a factory reset, still nothing. I'll wait a little bit longer. That's as far as I'll go. I'm not willing to flash the SBF yet, as I didn't see a single screenshot of it running on anyone else's phone.

I'm waiting good news
Ok.. I flashed the nandroid, wiped with the phone recovery, I even went ahead and flashed the damn signed and unsigned SBF. The phone would not boot. With the SBFs the phone get's a red M logo and then a black screen. With the restored nandroid the phone doesn't go past the black/white M logo even after ~20ish minutes.
I'm flashing the 2.2.2 back to restore my stuff.
My area cannot use megaupload
Can anyone make a mirror on another site please?

i have Motorola droid 2 on 2.2 rooted with bootstrap recovery, everything was workin fine till i decided to install custom rom, which was unleashed epic 2.5 (by mat) and now everytime i turn on my phone it goes into a loop reboots and never turns on all the way.
i have tried using sbf RSDlite to restore it, tried using linux ubuntu(newk8600 method ty btw) method as well to restore it, none seems to work i keep getting errors whenever i try to do it.
however before i installed the custom rom i did full backup using bootstrap recovery but the only way (that i know) to get in recovery is using bootstrap app, so is there a way i can manually get into bootstrap recovery so i can restore from backup?
please let me know, or if you have different method i'll appreciate your help. thanks in advance.
Which version of the software did you have before you installed epic unleashed, and which SBF did you use?
From what I have heard, Epic Unleashed will "brick" your phone if you try to install it on the 2.3.20 build. Since your phone did get bricked, it's likely that you are running 2.3.20 and not 2.2. You might want to make sure you are using the 2.3.20 SBF to flash your phone, and not the 2.2 SBF (which won't work because the kernel changed between the two)...
What type of errors do you get?
i always have luck getting into clockwork recovery by having my phone plugged in and within the first few seconds taking out my battery forcing it to take along time booting after the M logo and hence putting it into clockwork. I hope this helps
after you get passed the M pull the battery then boot back up it should come up in to recovery
thank you all for your help, however i tried all of these steps already, but i found another way to get it workin, here is the solution to whom got the same problem as mine.
its not letting me post the link for some reason, anyway just search for (Droid 2 Global SBF File (2.4.29) Full and RSDLite ).
just got relased today , big thanks to team Black Hat and MyDroidWorld
hope that helps.
Glad you got it fixed. Let me ask you something though. Before you installed the custom rom, did you wipe data and cache? Not doing so could result in a bootloop.

Sounds like the OP was trying to install a ROM for the original Droid 2 on the Droid 2 Global. It wouldn't have worked, no matter what install steps were used.

It's all good people need to read where they are posting this is in the D2 General section not the D2 Global general section. That's half his problem, he's been looking at ROMs for the original D2 not the device that he currently uses.
I know you have to .sbf to go to get ginger bread
i had Liberty running on my phone
and decided i wanted blur so went and flashed
one of squidlies rom
and the rom says
System Version
2.3.20.A995.Verizon.en.US
Android Version
2.2
and i did it with out .sbfing
everything is normal and working
is that normal?
and couldnt i just flash
GB with this rom???
TIA
That would be blur version 2.3.whatever, the android version of that is froyo (2.2), gingerbread is 2.3...so you are still on froyo.

Yes thats normal. You don't really have to sbf as long as you wipe data and cache when changing ROMs.
Yes you can flash GB from where you are. As long as you are on a 2.3.20 ROM (which you are) your able to flash it without sbfing. Just be sure to wipe data and cache just in case.

Hey guys, I have a question about upgrade to other Roms from a rooted gingerbread ver. 4.5.573
I already have Droid 2 bootstrapped and have this version rooted. So would I be able to just upgrade via bootstrapped straight to a new rom?
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Do u have clockwork recovery installed? If not, download "rom manager" from market place, and install clockwork. And from there u should be set, however u may need to update to a newer version of gb, the newer roms are running on to of .595 & .596.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA Premium App
at this point you may really want to consider getting up to a .596 base before flashing a newer rom. liberty for example is only going forward on the .596 build, they even pulled earlier gb versions (v.01-5) from their toolbox as those were all built on the earlier gb leaks
once you make a reliable .596 backup you should find it much easier to switch between roms, tbh app now has a one step zip to take you to .596 rooted from any other framework.
none selected the
Could you link me to that zip? Cause I have black hat release but the version says its: 4.5.573_MB810 is there a newer one?

OK, now HERE's my question. Cause I have NO CLUE what I'm running anymore -.-
First thing: I'm running system version: 4.5.573.MB810.Verizon.en.US
So does this mean I have a order cracked version?
Second thing: I have a droid strapper backup of rooted froyo, so if I do need to go back to froyo, can I just load up this backup?? or do I need to sbf back?

pull battery, enter stock recovery, wipe data, reboot
Thanks, Yeah figured out that my sbf was corrupt re-did it with new file and now working on .596
AND JUST AN FYI to those people who are wondering about the recovery for the 2 part gingerbread update: you choose "install from .zip file" not install update.zip
Do that 2 times, part1 then part2. If it doesnt boot up the first time after you exit, pull battery and reboot again. worked for me the second time
Disclaimer: I won't be responsible for any damage done to your phone due to flashing this rom.
I have just returned home after a day of tiring work. Grabbed this stuff from the Chinese forum and uploaded it to mediafire (It took quite a while as I am using ADSL) .Phone is charging and I'll try to flash right after it's fully charged. Screenshots are all around that forum though so I guess it would be safe to give it a shot. Enjoy, guys!
Note:
1. It is said to have quite a number of bugs.
2. Can't access recovery mode. Edit: it is possible but the key combination changed. You press "vol up+vol down" INSTEAD OF "@" after getting the yellow exclamation sign.
3. Old drill, no Google stuffs pre-installed.
4. Downgradeable to Froyo.
http://www.mediafire.com/?7bwfc0qvqs428k3
Edit:
I flashed and it boots.
1. Multitouch bug gone and the screen is way more responsive.
2. Yeah 2.3 old TV lock screen animation.
3. New window transition animation.
4. Attempted to root with SuperOneClick 1.7... failed.
5. Seems getting no luck with Gingrebreak neither...
6. I'm going back to uk 2.2.2 since without Google Services I can't live LOL... good luck guys
7. Successfully go back to froyo (damn i miss the red moto logo). Have fun with GB guys
Thanks a lot!!
Downloading now. But speed slow today on my internet. Will let u know if it works.
Flashing it right now, wish me luck
looking forward to your progress

good to hear this
just some questions,
do I need to wipe data before/after flashing the sbf? or everything works fine without a wipe? since you mentioned this ROM cannot be rooted (maybe yet xd), so it would be unable to use titanium backup to restore my apps
and could this be downgradable to 2.2.2 if i flashed the old sbf again? =]
thanks =D

well i came from uk 2.2.2 rooted without wipe, and it works without major problems. right now i'm trying to root with gingerbreak, if i still got no luck then i think i would go back 2.2.2 (painful decision as this leaked GB is so great) since without google service i cant get my contacts, schedules back.
DON'T FLASH IT YET!
You may get stuck in a non-rootable/non-downgradable rom
I will wait for the fixed SBF + nandroid backup.

Anybody could write a "how-to upgrade to 2.3" ?
Does this chinese GB leak supports accents in messages ?
Is it non-downgradeable? That kinda uhm... sucks... as I already started the flashing. Let's just wish for the best.

I am going to downgrade to UK 2.2.2 and it is said to be feasible according to gfan forum users. But before that I am going to take some nice pics for you guys.
hi boys and girls,
can anyone help. Basicly i have stock 2.2.2 blurred for the uk. I got it rooted, i used cm7 and then cm9, at one morning it decided to be a bit funny so me in my wisdom thought ''oh well i want to do master reset anyway'' but not thinking i wen to stock recovery and done full wipe/data reset. Now i thought woops. So i got cm9 zip and kernal and went into custom recovery data wipe, now when i went to advance and delvik i pressed power on it but it doesnt ask me the no no no yes no no thing it just does like a quick flash and back to where i was? So basicly it wont let me. An now of corse its stuck at google start screen!!!!!!!!!
So now i need to flash stock rom, but which one for uk and the 4 uk stock roms i have downloaded (all 2.2.2) rsdlite wont find them. I go into right folder with all files on in box but no luck. I have now had to go back to my old nokia n8 untill i get it sorted. Grrrrrrrrrr
so please help me.
Woops :-/ I must remember to unzip files next time.
Im sorted now.
