anyone use it?
amazingly well done app. but it seems to be keeping my tab awake while it should be sleeping. i haven't seen any issues anywhere else so hoping it's not somehow specific to the iconia

In trying not to be a noob, I searched the various subforums for the transformer looking for something similar and didn't find anything so here goes with my first new thread. Note there are plenty of battery drain ones, and while I do have that, that's not what my question is about.
I just recently sent my TF dock for repair of the mobiledock battery saving mode setting not working properly. A key press could always wake the device regardless of setting. Got it back from RMA, and sure enough the keyboard doesn't wake the device, and the touchpad wakes it only if touch it right away. So that's fixed.
But then I noticed that when I went into Applications->Battery use, the summary was wrong, and odd. After a bit of fooling around, what appears to be happening is that the graph only records when it is disconnected from the keyboard. It's been on for a few days now and the graph only shows 4 mins.
It's a B50 version of tablet and dock. It's running 8.6.5.9 and the mobileDock is EP101-0213.
Now, I know that the history/summary was working before I RMA'ed it, and I know that it wasn't working after I got it back, and it still isn't working after the update to 8.6.5.9.
As a side note, the battery drain is about 3.5%/hr when idle and docked. I have installed CPU spy and see that while it is indeed going to deep sleep, it isn't staying asleep. Some app is keeping it awake, I just don't know which app it is.
Hi all,
Got the 2.3.6 (GRK39F) system update this morning but I've noticed today that my Nexus One is running unusually hot despite me not really using it.
I've tried rebooting and the problem seems to remain.
Battery temperature is coming up as 37.6 °C according to the test app (having typed *#*#4636#*#* into the dialer)
Anyone else having a similar problem? Any suggestions to further debug or resolve?
I haven't got the update yet. But if it keeps getting worse, I would try a factory reset.
No issues here, I am at 32.5°C with light use.
Not sure what I did but it seems to be back to normal now. I fiddled round switching on and off wifi/gps/sync etc and charged the phone over night and it was fine in the morning and has been today.
I've seen similar issues.
I've also noticed battery life has gone down significantly.
I've investigated a bit and noticed that suddenly my Facebook app was consuming about 30% of the power (i barely use the facebook app).
It turns out this has been keeping the GPS on for ages... and i could see my GPS always looking for a lock.
I uninstalled facebook (as much as i can, you can't really remove it completely on stock..) and this seems to make things much better.
Maybe you're seeing the same problem?

Have your phone been plugged into a computer via USB when you realized that issue?
I'm asking, because a while ago i realized my Nexus One's battery got extremly hot when connected via USB, though it turned out that it only happened, when using not the original USB cable.

I know I am a little late to the game on this one (no internet at home for another 10 days and I was out of town), but I was having the same issue with facebook constantly using GPS, but an uninstall and reinstall fixed it. I think it was just a botched update. Granted, I am running CM7, so I uninstalled the full app, but maybe redoing the updates will fix the gps problem for you.
Using Battery Spy I've seen that different cables support charging at different maximum current levels. If the phone seems hot during charging then its because it is actually charging faster.
The Skype app can make the phones run very hot also. I had to remove it for that reason.
Recently my note 3's wifi won't turn off while asleep. Under battery usage it shows that the wifi is on the entire time. The android os also shows as being on for more than an hour (it's also the top app on battery usage). It's lead to a battery drain. Using wake lock detector and bbs I haven't seen any app that is causing the problem. I haven't changed any setting either. The wifi is set to never be on during sleep periods. I remember seeing a post with a problem about this but I can't seem to find it anymore. I really don't feel like resetting back to factory settings. Anyone experience this or know what's causing it.
as soon as my S5 phone hits the first low battery warning at 15%, the WIFI automatically turns on
makes no sense since that would drain the battery even faster
already checked all setting to make sure any auto switches are off
anyone else heard of this problem and know how to keep the wifi from turning on by itself?
nobody?
ok in case anyone else runs into this, i figured it out
after nobody replied i figured it had to be an app i had that not too many people use
after uninstalling one by one when my phone was hovering around the 15% mark, the culprit turned out to be:
prey anti-theft....a useful app, but now useless

I don't currently have a SIM on my Nexus 7 32GB 3G, so it's constantly on Airplane mode. However, these times are really weird, especially when I only use it about an hour or two a day nowadays. Is anyone able to point me in the direction that I need to go to find out the root cause of this battery drain?
Running CM10.2.1. Previously this battery statistics were also observed when I was running ParanoidAndroid.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You need to see and post if you want, the times waking device and time held awake screens from Gsam. They are the screens that should show the culprit.
Found it.

Googled about it and found this to be a widespread issue... was not able to find a solution to it though. Any recommendations?
This thread has some talk on that wakelock...
