back to stock rom and recovery - Eee Pad Transformer General

Hi,
I will return my Transformer to the shop so I want to slash back to stock ROM & recovery.
I'm sure that I've seen a complete thread with all the needed information but now I can't find it. So can anyone please point me to the correct thread to flash stock ROM and then stock recovery ?
Thanks.

thank you.
I had thought that I've seen a similar thread here on XDA.

Cool Rom. Can't wait to flash it. Does this have stock or custom kernel? Anyway, thanks for making the Rom.
Yeah, I was that guy this time. Even though you got your answer this should have been posted in Q&A. No biggie. Next time though remember this section is for development.

Need Help...(Casual User)

Can someone help me get stock back on my Epic? I need this to be done..so I can root and put a custon rom on my phone.........help?
Use the search button, or take 30 seconds and flip through the threads and you will find a tutorial. There are many out there...
Find the sticky wiki (top of the forum) and look up the article on restoring to stock with odin.

Sorry just realized I should have asked... If you haven't rooted or flashed a rom yet you are stock. What rom are you on now?

its the unofficial official froyo that was released.......
Seriously? So flash the new rom you want. You don't need to go stock every time you want to change roms. If you are on dk28 and you don't have root just run the one click root with cwm.

Hey Guys,
Iam trying to flash my samsung vibrant to a new ROM. But what if I wont like it and want to go back to an original firmware my phone came with? I tried searching answers but there are multiple ones and I cant understand it so figured I ask here. Can I somehow backup my current version or download it so I can go back to just stock firmware that the phone came out the box?
Thanks for your help
You can make a back up with rom manager or you can learn to odin back to stock. Check the stickies or search for more info.

In order to make a backup, you need to be rooted, in order to root you need to have an update.zip file on your phone in order for the file to work you need to be on 2.1 firmware, you can probably find the file stickied in the development section, or q/a section.

Odin is the ticket. It doesn't do a backup - it restores your phone to it's fresh out of the box state. There are 2 files you need, but they're easy to find.
But blaqr0d is going to be right - once you start flashing you will only want to go back to stock if you encounter a problem.
Here's a vid I think is very helpful.
OP, please read my stickies in my signature. You will learn a lot and not waste others time.

Help please

i bought a motorola atrix off ebay knowing it had cyanogenmod on it, i was just wondering how to flash back to stock rom? a guide or anything like that would be appreciated. thanks.
Huummm... since you're on Orange... flash HomeBase ROM w/ blur???? i would say fruitcake, but I don't think there is a international fruitcake.
I actually want to flash alien rom now i have had a look around, no idea how to though.
Follow directions in OP. Look at my N00B guide at top of this sections.
There's a stickied post from swiftks. It's a noob guide for the Atrix. I used it to get started. Very informative.

going from cm7 to ICS

hi all I have the ATT nexus S and am very confused with all the posts.
I would like someone to point me in the right direction for the best way to get my phone from CM7 to ICS
sorry if this has been posted already but i have been reading and cannot find a concrete answer.
TIA!!!!
Wrong section. Anyways Flashing this from CWM recovery is just fine. No issues at all.
This belongs in the q&a section but to answer your question the easiest way would be to use this rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20402775 it is rooted and you won't loose your cwm.

Wait for a proper ROM posted from the OTA 4.0.3 and then flash that. There is not a proper ROM posted yet. Do not flash any of what you see right now as you may loose the custom recovery and don't restore the nandroid from that thread.
Wait. Its almost here. Have patience.

I think it is better if we stick to cm7 until cyanogenmod releases its official ROM for nexus s because there are some good features in it which can not be found in any other ROMs

Is a proper ROM. Doesn't loose root. But if you wish to wait its your call.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1063664
If you have a I9020T or I9023 model, flash the respective LATEST (2.3.6) official gingerbread flashable rom, then download the update to ICS.
However doing this will lose clockworkmod + root. Though it's not too hard to regain those privileges.
thanks all i appreciate it and if i posted this in the wrong section i apologize
please remove it if need be
thanks again

Yeah, this is the easiest way for GSM phones already using a custom recovery/ROM.
I just tries cm7 for the first time. Haven't even had it 24 hours. I was running liquid nexus bread and what a nice change cm7 is. Way smoother! Why rush for ICS? I don't get it....??!!
Stay rooted and wait for a nice steady well built ICS rom... JMO

How do I proceed from here?

A while back when ICS was first leaked, I flashed it.
My A500 is not rooted or unlocked or anything. It was completely stock HC.
Whatever it was that I flashed, I was able to flash using the built-in recovery tool.
Under Settings, it says this:
Image version: Acer_AV041_A500_RV05RC01_PA_CUS1
Build number: Acer_AV01_A500_1.033.00_PA_CUS1
Now all the threads I'm reading about flashing newer roms says I have to be on GEN1 first. Searching for PA_CUS1 doesn't give me any results.
What do I do, where do I go, what can I flash from where I am now?
And pointers would be greatly appreciated.
this is not a forum for questions. should have posted this in Q&A forums buddy

Thought about that, but this question is specifically about what this forum is designed for. No? Regardless, a mod can move this thread if they feel necessary. But thanks for taking the time to post. I think.
:highfive:
i think your on the first build of ics, have a look for the root method and see if you can root the rom your running, if successive i would then recommend you try using the flexreaper extreem v5.1 the latest and greatest from civato ,
if you reply ill try to help more in-depth but i just got back from a engagement party and its 3:30 am sooooooo...u know
note: im so luving the new :highfive: highfive emoticon :highfive::highfive::highfive:
