Just updated to 4.5.91, one wierd issue - Atrix 4G General

Overall I'm very happy with Gingerbread 2.3.4 on the Atrix, but do have one complaint.
Right now the color when I select from a menu or when I type on the keyboard and things of that nature is a light green or teal color, is there a way to change this?

Need to mod framework-res so in other words need to be root and mod the framework-res file you can contact for directions any dev under themes and apps

Thats not a bug, thats a "feature", its the new standard.
Ugly as hell tough.

You can simply theme your phone. Check the themes section.

How do you change the LED Color?

In the settings you can change which applications can activate the LED, but I don't see a way to change the color. Anyone know how to change the LED color?

What makes you assume that you can change it?

More than likely the LED can display more colors, like the N1.

IMO the LED are only designed to produce 3 colors

No, it more than likely cannot.

I tried an app that tests this, it got the LED started but it only stays on green... I think it is safe to say that it only has about 2 colours and cannot be customized by an app... However this app was built for N1 and Milestone, so it could might just be not working right on MT4G
I used Handcent on the Droid X and it allows customizing the LED colors. I just tried Handcent on my MT4G and though the option is there for customizing the colors it doesn't respond to a key press so I assume it's disabled on this phone. You can still tweak vibration patterns and tones as well as different notification icons for different persons.
Yeah I tested out some apps and I could only get it to display green. Hopefully it can display other hex values so someone can develop that feature for us.

LED display with three basic color
I am bruce from one led display company, according to my idea that you can try to change the electronic current for it , then it can change the brightness for red, blue, green lights.
Because the white color is made of three basic color: 3:6:1 in red, green, blue.
If you need more details , please inform me .
bruce
It acts like the LED on the G1 did, i did some hacking when i used to have one, and through terminal could change its color, If i get the time, i'll see what i can come up with-
Nick
if you need any support, I can talk to our engineers to help you , if you are good at the electronics, we can introduce the IC for your reference to controll the bnrightness of led display
LED colors
If you are looking for different colors for your LED.....there is an app in the market called "noLED" that allows you to use LED icons that pop up on your screen each time you get a text, email, missed call, etc. Give it a whirl, I really like it!!!!!!

NoLED=battery killer
Used it on ny Captivate because there was no notification LED. No reason to use it on the MT4G
Please post questions in Q&A section.
4G LED - color capable?
My My Touch 3G used to be able to do Green, Red, Blue, Orange, etc...I use Nitrodesk Touchdown and could have my email flash blue, appointments flash red, and Handcent SMS flash orange, therefore could simply look at the flashing LED to determine if it was email, sms, or appt. Did the 4G get designed to only flash orange and green, or is the ROM able to make tweaks to get more color out of the LED? I am able to have handcent flash orange and it works, but everything else simply flashes green no matter what you set it.
If you're running cm7 you can change them under cyanogen settings. You can have the led blink a different color for different app notifications too.

But isn't that a limitation of the phone and not CM7?

[Q] Change stock MMS color?

I'm rooted using Bionix V 1.3.1. The one thing that annoys me is the damn MMS is always blue and green. Is there anyway I can change the color? I've looked around and all I can find is people referring to apps like GO SMS and stuff, but I like the MMS on the android system... The color just blows.
Anybody?

Look in theme section there are themes for it.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=938465
Either that thread or some other thread someone was trying to do custom colors besides those and couldn't get them to line up properly. Maybe PM the TC on how to do it if you don't like blue or green. I love the blue one, I specifically went back to TW from AOSP because of it.

Xoom Status Bar Brightness?

Hi folks - My Dad - all 75 years of techno geek in him - just got a Xoom.
He loves Android (on his EVO & trying to learn the Xoom) but his eyes can't seem to see the status bar down @ the bottom clearly.
It looks dim. Is there way to adjust the brightness for the status bar (particularly the lower right one)?
Thanks.
I don't think there is. It just uses the standard screen brightness setting so its the full screen or nothing I think.

Thanks for the input.
From the lack of responses, I tend to think this isn't a huge issue for people. LOL!
We did adjust the brightness for the screen & it didn't seem to make much of an incremental difference.
Try one of the themes that brighten it up.
Touchwiz is brighter, I'm sure the red theme is brighter as well.

Hmmm...will look for it. Thanks for the idea.
If you're going to use a theme, you will have to convince him to let you root his XOOM.
If you want to go that route and don't feel like installing a completely new theme, I can make a brighter version of the stock control buttons for you. The clock font brightness is not editable at this time since hnytool hasn't been updated for 3.2, however.
As far as colors go, green is easiest and brightest seen by the human eye. Try the green theme.

[apk] Orange Glow for MIUI 1.8.12

As you all know MIUI 1.8.12 has already been ported to the Fascinate by dfgas from MIUI.us. the only issue or thing that is bothering people is the Blue glow when scrolling to the bottom of a list.
I have attached the modified 1.8.12 framework-res.apk which has the original orange glow color.
all you have to do is push the framework-res.apk to /system/framework
using "adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework" no quotes.
You also might want to do a reboot after pushing it.
i can make a CWM zip if you are having trouble using ADB.
cool, thanks for your work.

Is it supposed to overscroll or is there any way to enable it in miui? Not using your patch btw but since you seem to know a thing or two I figured you might know.

New EC07-#3: Wish List

Very very satisfied with this upgrade.... JOB WELL DONE!
I only have 2 wish list;
1: STAY AWAKE - option in Application>Development>. I would like this option back. This was good feature when phone is connected to USB or charger. Especially when driving.
2: Notification Font Color - Very hard to read with light Gray background with White Font. Maybe different Font Color????
Does anybody has any wish list?
Thanks

Absolutely!
And I would add another wish:
2: STOP APP VIA LONG-PRESS - option in Application > Development > Stop app via long-press (Long-pressing the BACK button will kill the foreground application)
Click to collapse
These are features that exist in CyanogenMod and I would love to seem them here, too.

I've been looking around in the framework, but i'm not sure where it is... I'm thinking Res/layout/status bar_expanded. But, the only hex I see there is for black, which makes me think it's actually for the header, not the text itself... Wanna educate me on where to look?
EDIT: Found it... I think. res/layout/status bar latest event content... I'll find out for sure, tomorrow.
I got your wish #1 done
I am using it myself, and it works great
But, I have been debating whether or not to even release my projects anymore xP
And yes abby_Nitewolf that's what you need to change good job!

I too was wondering why there was no option to never sleep while charging? And also why wouldnt it be under display options? It seems to be related to usb debugging....I used to lose connection all the time when using pdanet or wireless tether until I used an app to keep screen on so this would be awsome to implement.....
