i'm sure someone will at some point... but possibly not since safer versions have already been released (fruit cakes, IMG flashing etc). devs are trying to move away from SBFs as it's riskier.

Why do people want this when we have ninja?

Yes is already at the moto server as:
1FF-olympus-user-2.3.4-4.5.91-110625-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P011.sbf.gz
If you ever applied pudding STAY AWAY from flash moto SBF's by RSD BUT you can used to extract .smg->.img to moto-fastboot flash pristines img's from MOTO
boot/system/recovery/webtop/preinstall
IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHAT YOU HAVE or WHAT DID YOU FLASH BEFORE:
Start RSD Lite and check your bootloader version under device properties if it said 0007 you have the NEW BOOTLOADER AND YOU CAN NOT RDS's any OFICIAL MOTO SBF

to extract pristines img's is better to use the moto official SBF (1FF-olympus-user-2.3.4-4.5.91-110625-release-keys-signed-ATT-US-GAS_NA_OLPSGBATTSPE_P011.sbf.gz) , and just split the SBF file using Depacker by SKrilax_CZ
* CG58.smg -> recovery.img code:moto-fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
* CG59.smg -> boot.img code:moto-fastboot flash boot boot.img
* CG60.smg -> system.img code:moto-fastboot flash system system.img
* CG61.smg -> webtop.img code:moto-fastboot flash webtop webtop.img

and....in C:\Android....what files must be there to upgrade from stock 2.1 to 2.3.3 SwiftDroid Project/CyanogenMod 7 (v1.8)
at first you need recovery (i think there is a how to in xda) ..... and then .... you will follow the instructions (if you can german, you can look at http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-ha.../88137-how-android-2-3-fuer-das-lg-gt540.html or google translater can german )

[STOCK ROM] Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread 4.5.91 (Safest Update)

Warning
Don't worry, they won't give you a brickable device like the over-the-air zip.DescriptionI've uploaded the stock images for those who want to check out 4.5.91 without trying a custom ROM or creating a brickable device.
You'll still need an unlocked bootloader to flash these images, but they should provide you with a clean version of 4.5.91 that works perfectly.DownloadClick to Download
(under "Gingerbread stock images" label)
(ignore directions above the download)Instructions
Download moto-fastboot for your operating system
Turn your device off
Boot into "Fastboot mode" by holding down the bottom volume button while pressing power.
Use the following commands to flash the images:
moto-fastboot flash boot boot.img
moto-fastboot flash system system.img
Use the following commands to wipe data and reboot:
moto-fastboot -w
moto-fastboot reboot
Sweet! Thanks

These are completely safe to flash. They don't mess with your bootloader like the OTA or SBF.

So is there any particular benefit to using this instead of the flashable zip beta #4 thing you have in the dev forum?
Why does the brief mobile site say you need CWM? Your instructions just say fastboot. I am relatively new at this so excuse the stupid question if it is one.
So before flashing this we need to unlock bootloader by flashing the pudding unlock sbf. After that can we gain root by using the root.zip found on the other threads by flashing with cwm

So does this work just as well as the other one that was removed because of potentiak damages to peoples phone? I just want to make sure if I use this I have everything working, like the fingerprint reader.
seems good, lets try

The download links for the image pack is below those instructions, because those are for something else. Just use fastboot for these.
Sorry, if I am being a bit thick here.
Having installed this update, one should generally avoid installing future OTA's, correct?

Hi Ken,
Could you please help to clarify:
1- I have already been on 2.3.4, using flashable zip for locked bootloader. Anything different between your rom and the previous flashable zip file ? Is your file is final one ?
2- Noting that using 2.3.4 via flashable zip for locked bootloader, I can not flash back to stock 1.8.3 rom (or I have to use the modded stocked 1.8.3 with unlocked bootloader). Can I flash back the stock 1.8.3 (original one) after using your file ?
Hope your reply soon
Thank you very much,
Quang

If you're on the OTA zip... just stay... you've already got a STOCK ROM.
After inputing the command everything seems to be fine. Upon rebooting the phone said unable to boot starting RSD mode. I am currently flashing to 1.8.3 with rsd lite. Any idea why that happened before I try again?

How about the possibility of flash back to 1.8.3 ? Can I back after using your file ? If I can, can I upgrade to your file without hard brick my phone ?

One more thing, after using your file, can I use OTA when AT&T officially announces the final one ?

Flashing hboot via recovery

I came across these 2 post in the blackrose section

thanx for clarifying efrant so after installing blackrose, then a. nb0 file can be flashed via recovery in a zip format?

Once you have a version of Blackrose already installed on your device, you should be able to package up any subsequent hboot you want to flash in a CWM-flashable format, and you should be able to flash it in recovery.

According to this any hboot can be flashed via recovery by packaging nb0 in a cwm flashable zip.so after installing blackrose we can flash hboot via recovery
Many users are having problem while changing partitions.
So if we put nb0s in flashable zip users can EASILY flash them via recovery.similar to alpharev on desire
My suggestion : devs please put the following .nb0 in flashable zips and upload it.
Blackrose : 220/16/200
Sense rom : 315/10/111
Stock hboot : 145/95/xx
So users can flash it via cwm.
Thnx for reading

Fastboot flash hboot hboot-name.nb0
Then
Fastboot reboot-bootloader

Don't try this, not responsible for any damages if you do, but wouldn't it be as simple as something as something like
Code:
ui_print("installing hboot");
package_extract_dir("hboot", "/tmp");
write_raw_image("/tmp/hboot.nb0","hboot");
delete("/tmp/hboot.nb0");
ui_print("done...");
if hboot.nb0 is in hboot folder?

[4.4.4][TWRP][Modified system] OTA update zip file

So I have pulled and uploaded the update zip file to drive just in case anyone needs it.
And modified to get it working on twrp with Modified system but important core apps like systemui.apk need to be untouched though, no need to flash stock again, just normal flash via TWRP, worked on mine.
And some people were asking if it flashes default recovery or not, so the Answer is TWRP/CWM will stick.
And you will not lose root Access too
Download Links:
TWRP/CWM flashable
Default OTA zip
Explanation of how solve if still having problems as posted by @[email protected]
[email protected] said:
As OP said,
U only have to edit the updater-script file present under condor_4.4.4_TWRP_flashable.zip\META-INF\com\google\android in order to get the zip file working.
1. Copy the condor_4.4.4_TWRP_flashable.zip file that OP shared to your PC.
2. Now open this file using any zip handler like 7zip/winzip/winrar/windows explorer(if running windows8+), browse to the above location to find updater-script file, now extract /copy this on your PC.
3. Now select an option to edit this file using Notepad++ (step 4 on how/what to edit/change)
4. As per the TWRP error log, remove all the lines from the updater-script in particular to that error.
For Ex. if the error says:
/system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker.apk\" has unexpected contents.
then u need to remove the following line from the updater-script
apply_patch_check("/system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker.apk", "f4b9dc41f0d4691a2f9b71be06036c1de91c43ea", "d57f5cbc092e3e6cab286793da70ee7ffc4f440e") || abort("\"/system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker.apk\" has unexpected contents.");
assert(apply_patch("/system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker.apk", "-",
f4b9dc41f0d4691a2f9b71be06036c1de91c43ea, 160480,
d57f5cbc092e3e6cab286793da70ee7ffc4f440e, package_extract_file("patch/system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker.apk.p")));
5. Once u are done with all such, simply save the updater-script and copy this back to its location and select replace if asked.
6. Now save the condor_4.4.4_TWRP_flashable.zip and copy it back to Phone and try flashing now using TWRP.
hope it helps

Flash the attached recovery.img (after unzipping the archive) using fastboot or mfastboot.
This one is only for XT1022.
Okay, so tried to modify the updater script to get it working with TWRP but it won't work if you modified any system file by yourself because it verifies all the system files and then patches them, (I had modified many apks, so it didn't work.), tried to skip verification but then it failed during patch.
So you can try But it won't work for modified system. and must create a nandroid backup.
Use the attached updater script for TWRP.
Even Stock recovery won't work on modified system.
update works on rooted devices but there should be stock recovery
Rooted users can update their moto e but must have stock recovery. If you are facing problem with trwp recovery while updating it, then flash the stock recovery annd then try. It works
Hit thanx if helped

[OTA ZIP] Moto X (2014) XT1092 5.0

Hi all,
Just got the notification to update my french Moto X (2014) XT1092.
Here is the link
LINK
Just flash it via stock recovery.
WARNING : The update will only succeed if you have a RETEUALL or RETIN XT1092 (it won't work for RETGB and RETDE) AND an untouched sytem (no root, xposed, or removed system apps...)
If you have a RETGB or RETDE, no worries you'll just need to convert your phone into a RETEUALL.
Here is how to do this :
1) You'll need an unlocked bootloader, as well as fastboot and adb drivers installed on your computer.
2) First you'll need to download the RETEUALL factory image : here and extract it.
3) Then you'll need to execute each command in a terminal window
Code:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.0
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.1
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.2
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.3
fastboot flash system system.img_sparsechunk.4
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
fastboot erase modemst1
fastboot erase modemst2
fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn
4) After that you'll be able to take the OTA

Are these steps the enough to revert the change or do I have to factory reset (I am asking because as far as I know Motorola haven't released factory images for variants other than XT1095)?
1) uninstall xposed through the app then remove the app itself with other modules.
2) completely remove root through SuperSu (Full unroot option).
3) restore stock recovery (link please if possible?)
4) I didn't add or remove system apps other than SuperSu
Thanks,
