Hey all, the title tells everything.
Thx for your answers
(I hope I posted it in the right section)
Probably should've been posted in the "Q&A and General" section but I'm also curious as to what the difference is.
From what I can tell 7329 is the latest official release of WP7 (NoDo?), while 7401 is the Mango ISV (?) Beta release.
I can't seem to find an official change log but I'm pretty sure one thing they changed was renaming the 'orange' colour scheme to 'mango'
Also heard something along the lines of mango bringing hundreds of bugfixes/features/stuff.

it should have been posted in Q&A.
For 7392..
http://pocketnow.com/windows-phone/wp7-update-7392-includes-more-than-cert-security-fixes
For 7401 (Mango)...
http://www.pocket-lint.com/review/5469/windows-phone-7-mango-preview
7401 isn't Mango
Mango started as 7500 build back in October.
Ops... you're right OndraSter
hopefully i didnt mislead anyone
So I can flash a 7401 Rom with the same stability abilities then the other NODO- Roms?

"This concludes the beta test of this software release. To obtain a newer release or further information please revisit the web site that you used to obtain your current beta release"

Sorry, but that attitude won't get you anywhere...
I think he has good reason.
TBH backup your phone and flash as it already is the 11th!!!
OR - just leave the date set incorrectly
I ask you this, if everyone got impatient and posted incorrectly where whould these forums be? Exactly
Be patient, possibly repost in correct forum/thread....or even PM OP/Mod

I tagged this thread as "Q", cos ive been sniffing through XDA-forums and I have got a lot of questions. I hope someone can help me.
First of all, Im new to Android, in the Developing side, and also the Flashing side. I would like to learn more about it, but flashing now is my priority.
So related to flash:
I have got a Samsung Galaxy 3, and I cant understand the ROM naming pattern. For example:

What do this mean, most important, how do I may know if its compatible, whith my phone, im from Spain, so I guess I need a Spanished-language ROM.
What about Custom ROMS?
I saw this one: [ROM] Kyrillos' ROM v4.1 Ultimate Edition, a very cool ROM, but I dont even know if the OS will be on Spanish.
I read something about Country codes or something like that, but I couldn't find the "sintax".
Another important question about flashing, how can I avoid a brick? Maybe some kind of Bootloader with nand copy? Maybe I'm ****ed if I fail? :/
Another one:
Do I also need a extra firmware?, maybe a combination of both?, I'm used to flash PSPs and so, I remember that I should had the official firmware...
Final notes:
As u guys can se nowadays I'm a total noob when flashing and so, thats why I would appreciate a lot any sort of help.
Maybe my question were answered before, but I couldn't find em, even with the search bar, if so, please show me some link about it
I hope I'd opened this thread at the correct sub-forum...
I love the forum desing, its seems a serious forum, well organized and clean, I hope could stay in here for a long time
Thx a lot for reading.
P.D: Sorry for my poor English and so, I'll accept any corrections ^^'
-> Okay I placed it wrong.... -_-" the idea was to place it here: Android Software and Hacking General, or maybe here: Galaxy 3 General admin!!! help T_T
I don't wanna repost, please Admin move it T_T
----------------------------------------------------------
Edit:
I've flashed succesfully my Galaxy 3, into Froyo, thx to slumpolo, and some other memebers of this forum ^^
From now on I'll be on forum, for developent matters, thx 4 all ^^
first of all a big thanks to yukixda and xbmod and all the developers for their work on the HD2 i can honestly say that thanks to them there is no other phone on the market i would prefer at the moment.
ive started this thread as i cant find the answer elsewhere and think there are quiet a few of us who would love to upgrade to mango but still require dual boot android
its been made clear that with the latest 7712 and 7720 builds this isnt an option but i was wondering if we were to update to build 7403 could we then partition the sd card and dual boot android
im currently running 7592 with marketplace so would there be any benefit to update to 7403 if dual booting was possible
many thanks to everyone

How about this question - "Do you have a functional brain ?"
1) This is not Q&A forums, and even after knowing that you are about to ask a question, "[Q]" in the subject you decide to post in Development. Walao.
As for the question, use some brains and use another sdcard for android, ofc you will have to remove and insert sdcard before booting but atleast you can.
Please research and follow forum rules before posting.
Apologies for posting this in the wrong forum.
i have searched but havent figured out how to delete or move this thread

Only a forum mod can do that. Contact them using PM and inform them about this, they'll be more than happy to help you with it.
To be proved: If two triangles have two angles equal to two angles respectively, and one side equal to one side, namely, either the side adjoining the equal angles, or that opposite one of the equal angles, then the remaining sides equal the remaining sides and the remaining angle equals the remaining angle.
Step through proof by clicking on Next line:
There are two triangles ABC and DEF where angles ABC = DEF and BCA = EFD, and line BC = EF
Hi!
Good day!
I have a HTC HD2 with Android 2.3.4 installed in it and I would like to try/ switch to Windows Phone7. I've seen a few videos over youtube and read some of the threads here but all I see are windows 7 BETA roms. Is there a "final" rom for the HD2? If not, where do i find the latest Windows 7 ROM for my HTC HD2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1427611 - This thread seem to have compiled all the ROMs and updates for HTC HD2 -Windows (Thanks to the efforts of the developers and the one who compiled) but I cannot seem to figure out which ROM to get. Any assistance would be very much appreaciated.
Apologies for asking a very basic question.
Thanks!
Carlos
WOW..
I don't really know what you mean with BETA roms, because all those roms shall be very well developed, in my eyes.
"A final rom" by meaning a rom that is almost as much developed as the official released WP rom, then you can just choose one from the development threads. In ex. my HD2 is running on XBmod rom and is just like running on a official rom for me. There are many good roms like the one made by HD2Owner, or the on by Pdaimatejam etc. All these roms are WELL developed, not a BETA.
But if you mean a final one by meaning that the development is good enoug so the rom is stopped on development, you can't find one, because all roms are still getting new features just like the official one is updating itself
here you find all ROM's for HD2
recommend this one
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833
dont forget to read tutorial for install
also dont forget to need ask Microsoft for Live activation code (all HD2 ROM's need this)
Thanks!
Hi Eric and dxdy,

All the ROMs are basically the same, albeit tweaks the chef may have added. You have to realize that WP7 is constantly updated by MS...just like Android. All the ROMs sporting v8773 (Tango) have the BETA v8773 build. Thus, when MS releases the official final version of v8773 you'll have to reflash your phone and install all your apps again when the chef releases an update.
The Yuki/XBmod ROM is on the official v8107 (Mango). It is also the most stable and the only updatable custom ROM via official MS Zune update. As such, no reflash needed. It is no longer chef supported, but it's still the most stable one of the bunch.
I have tried almost all of the ROMs out there and still use Yuki/XBmod on my phones.
Hi hjhjhj ,
Noted on that. Things seem clearer now.
I just did it! I was able to boot my phone on Win7 woohooo!!!
Thanks to all who replied to my query
Ok one last problem, when i call Microsoft help desk and ask for an activation code, what details do they ask? will they make sure I have a phone originally installed with WP7?

Read my HSPL guide here, it has instructions on returning to stock. I do have ONE change to note for you. Do not use the rom I recommended in that post, but instead use "RUU_Spark_W_S_VERIZON_WWE_2.04.605.02_Radio_NV_0215_NV58008_RELEASE" as that older rom has trouble updating via Zune now (I will revise my guide, and include links to Football's rom thread in the section about returning to stock). You can find all stock Verizon roms that are public in Football's rom thread, stickied in the development forum.
SPL can still be downgraded even after updating to Tango, and if you half brick the bootloader with this Mango v3 rom, you can fix it by running Zune update to Tango.
(BTW, this thread should have been in the general forum)
Can you describe what your phone is doing? If your getting an "authorization error," that is fixable.
