Droid 2 stuck in Liberty bootloop!! Help please! - Droid 2 General

Hello, This is my first time trying to Root my phone. I got my phone Rooted then tried to get Liberty 2.0 from the Liberty Toolbox app. (I paid the 5$ for it) I followed the steps EXCEPT for I didn't click the Reset Data and Cache. Now my phone is stuck in the bootloop with the Liberty name and eagle spinning. How do I get my phone out of the bootloop? Ive seen several places to try and take out the battery and hold the power button and HOME button, but nothing ever works. Are there any other methods? I used Liberty Toolbox to make a FULL Backup and It did another backup before installing the Liberty 2.0 ROM......But I need help getting out of the bootloop!

Boot into stock recovery then wipe data and cache ( hold down power and x)

[Q] SBF isn't working. Help.

I've tried a few times to SBF my Droid 2 to 2.3.20 to clean up after a rom install, but after the SBF, I enter stock recovery to clear the cache/data, and it won't let me clear data and gives me the error message E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command. I can clear the cache fine, but that doens't fix the bootloop at the android screen. My battery died trying to boot so I can't try anything at the moment until I get an external charger. Any suggestions on what to do?
Edit: When trying to clear the data, when I select the option, it briefly flashes the screen with the yes/no options then goes back to the default recovery menu. Any ideas?
That "error" is always there don't worry about it. Not sure why it won't let you delete cache though.

Yeah I've noticed that the error is always there. It WILL let me delete the cache, but it won't let me wipe the data. When I get to the confirmation screen it immediately goes back to the default recovery menu.
I've tried to SBF multiple times now using re-downloaded SBFs, different versions of RSD Lite and a few other things. Still the exact same problem. Any help here would be appreciated greatly as I need my phone pretty badly today. I'll be willing to make a donation to anyone who can help me out of this problem.
Did you sbf with triple threat or the two file version. I seen posts on here saying there were issues with the two file version. I used the triple threat and I know it works. I like having a spare battery. Can you borrow a battery or charge yours in a friends phone? I think your battery will charge in a d1. Some guys on here are cutting their charger wire end off and hooking wires to the battery.

It actually charged pretty well just plugged into the wall but not turned on. I guess since the software is installed it will work, it just won't boot past the droid animation and I can't clear the data in recovery to remedy the bootloop.
And yes I used the triple threat file.

Does it go to the m logo then to the red eye. Does it ever show the m logo. What do you see when its trying to boot?

I eventually got this problem solved. After scrolling up and down in the stock recovery for a few seconds, it finally let me wipe the data. Hopefully anyone who might run into this problem in the future will see my fix for it.
And just to clarify my problem, I had just SBFd, and was attempting to do a data/cache wipe in stock recovery to clear the bootloop on the animation screen (not M). Whenever I chose wipe data/factory reset in the stock recovery, it would briefly flash the menu with the options Yes and No, then revert directly to the main recovery menu, not allowing me to select Yes to wipe the data. As I said, eventually it let me do it after I scrolled around the recovery menu a little bit. Very peculiar.

Can you get into recovery by holding x while turning the phone on? If you can, try wiping data/cache

After you get the triangle exclamation driod press the search (magnifying glass) on the keyboard to bring up the menu then use the volume keys to scroll and the camera button on the side to select. Wipe data and cache and you should be fine.
You won't be able to get into clockwork after an sbf until you re-root and re-bootstrap.

Liberty GB v0.1 help

running liberty gb v .1.after install I lost clockwork recovery and no matter what I do I cannot get it installed. I upgraded to gb for netflix but I can't even get that to work. I cannot sbf because I'm on the nTelos network and there are currently no sbf files out. Can't anyone help?

Liberty GB (all versions) come with Clockwork Mod, you might have either had a bad install or a bad downloaded file. I wasn't aware that the SBF files were network-specific, are you positive you can't use the regular Verizon ones on the web? Also, you've installed the donate Liberty Toolbox, right?
Have you gone into the normal bootloader (hold home button down while turning on) and wiped data + cache at least 3 times after installing Liberty GB to see if you can then get Clockwork Mod working? What happens if you try to reboot bootstrap from within Liberty Toolbox? Another thing to try is, install the Droid 2 Bootloader from the market, it's like $2 to buy. The Droid X one does NOT work with GB for the Droid X, you have to use the Droid 2 one.
The droid x one does work as long as USB debugging is unchecked
I have liberty toolbox donate and droid x bootstrapper , I've tried getting into stock and cw recovery. Both just lead to a blank screen that stays until you battery pull. It doesn't matter if I try to go into recovery through liberty toolbox or holding down any combination of buttons. Always the same result. I do have usb debugging disabled. And as far as all my research has led me to believe, sbf files are carrier specific. So using a vzw file would set my phone up as a verizon droid x rather than ntelos. If there is a way to change that after sbfing please let me know, as I haven't been able to come across any info on that yet.

Since you have the donate toolbox, have you tried upgrading to .5 Liberty (make sure to use the one WITH the .595 kernel)?

Briked my phone?

I think i bricked my Droid X. i was running Rubix Focused and tryed to flash GingerAle 3.0 and now it just sits at the moto "M" logo. i can get into the recovery by pulling the battery but even after a wipe and a recovery it still just sits. did i brick it, and if so how can i fix it? please help, reletivly new to flashing roms.
P.S. I'll love you forever if i can fix it =)
now i think i really did it. I tried running a recovery image from a few days ago and now i cant get back into the recovery menu...
Sounds Like SBF Time
Sounds like SBF is going to be your friend here, if you don't know how, head to
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11118819&postcount=2
and look for "SBF: What is it, and what does it do?!?"
OK, so i SBFed the phone, got all the way through it, got to the phone is rebooting and it just sits at the Moto "M" again. did i SBF wrong or what?
EDIT: I can get into the stock recovery... sort of. i can get to the ! with the droid next to it but nothing happens when i push the search button.
hmm, I know GB doesnt use the search button to pass that, try using vol UP+DOWN at the same time. perhaps the stock recovery isn't modified from SBF?
Woot that worked. got into recovery. wiped data and tryed a reboot, got stuck at logo again. should i try flashing back to the Rubix focused i had before?
Edit: it now boots into <3e> recovery and i get the e: signature verification failed instillation aborted when i try to install Rubix or Gingerale.
You can't install a custom roms from stock recovery

[Q] Unable to boot into Koush Bootstrap

Hey guys I need some help here. I just rooted my droid x and installed the koush recovery as stated in the noobs guide to the droid x. i was able to boot into recovery and clear my data and cache and I installed Gingerale 3.0.
Well I cant get wifi tethering to work so I need to install a WUG's patch. Problem is, I cant seem to boot into koush's recovery anymore. I installed it again on the new rom and tapped bootstrap recovery and it said success. Then I tapped reboot recovery and my phone rebooted. The M came up then all I get is black screen with the backlight on. I have waited 15 minutes and same thing. I have to pull the battery and reboot. I can not for the life of me figure out why I cannot boot into clockwork.
I could use some help. Thanks.

Try downloading ROM Manager from the Market. Once you open it up click Flash Recovery and select Droid X. Now try to boot into recovery from ROM Manager.
Thanks for the reply. I have done as you said and still no dice. The phone reboots, the M comes up then screen goes black with the backlight on and thats it. Any other ideas?

I dont have a problem sbfing but I would hate to do that if its just going to happen again. A quick search on this forums brings up tons of results of people having the same issue and i have not been able to find a solution for it.
Any ideas?
