Hello,
I am eagrly waiting for JB OTA update.
For those of you, who already has it or flash it, do you still have pink spot presented?

Yup.
Can it be in the lens it self? As in a factory deficit? Because I don't have that problem

If OP means with pink spot....the reddish hue in the middle of pictures....I have it too. Its driving me nuts. The pictures look axceptionally good....but in the middle there is a circular patch where the tones are slightly red. Its very slight effect...You have to really "search" for it. But as I have seen it now...I cannot NOT focus on it.
I don't have it.
Try take a picture on totally white background and you will notice the pink spot.

It's JELLY BEAN - B......E......A......N!
With all the rage going on about Jelly Bean at the moment you'd at least think we'd all get the name correct?
Phil
My opinion:
Its presented in all devices. Those of you who didnt have HTC HD2 where the problems started dont know what we are talking about. You must have specific condition for it. Its simply there, problably, I am starting to belive it simply must be like that. Thats the way how the lens are working unfortunatelly. None of software updates removed it (however, it might be possible, because when you change white balance, it can decrease the pink spot a lot). I hoped that Jelly B E A N will do that.. (

When i take the picture the pink spot vanished..

Anyone else experience a bug with camera where some photos taken have random white lines on the edges of the photo?

Zoom into the photo and you will see white lines a the right and at the left side.
My pictures don't have such white lines. Maybe it is just a bug of your camera app? Try a different camera app and look if your white lines are still present

yes i mean the two white lines on the edge of the photo. it usually happens when taking pictures in dark environments. i also have camera zoom fx on my phone and tried that and the lines still appear.
anyone else have this issue?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
I am. It seems to be a bug cuz it happens randomly. Can't really replicate it. Tends to happen after messing with zoom.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I had several pictures get funky on me the other day after messing with the zoom. sucks because they were of my little boys birthday, no idea what happens
Same issue on both of my phones and it happens with my friend as well. I figured out a way to reproduce this. Turn flash off and take the image in low light. For example with the room lights off and just the lighting of your monitor will do it. The darker the better. Doing it this way seems to trigger it 8-9/10 times. My friend tested while at work with office, but was still able to trigger it taking pictures of a picture of the serial number on the bottom of his laptop. No zooming was used.
The lines that come up on the right are always 2nd, 3rd, or 4th pixel from the right. On some occasions I have been able to get it to come up as the 2nd and 4th at the same time. On the left side it seems to always come up between the 16th and 20th pixel from the left. I will have to look closer at all of the images to confirm it is always like this.
I am not even sure what to do now...
Thanks for bringing it up.
I just noticed it as well.
I'm also seeing this! bugs the **** out of me!
Mine as well

Kinda odd that since the 4.2.2 update I have begun to experience this bug for the first time as well.
Anyone notice this issue on any other camera app besides the stock?
I hadn't noticed, but mine does the exact same thing. I could always crop that out I guess...
What's worse is the blurring effect I get. You really see it on the hand and ear. Anybody have this or know how to fix? Stock, rooted. Happens on 4.2.1 and 4.2.2

Turn off HDR. Since it averages three images, it's not good for moving subjects
Just tested it on Camera Zoom FX app using TTZip's steps and was able to reproduce the problem there too. Could this be considered a hardware defect?
Also experiencing this.
Does anyone else have this? I've noticed this only happens when I take solid color pictures. This is my room wall you can notice a green tint. (its in the center)
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
I have the same issue. It is not much of a problem though, most cameras behave strangely pointed to a solid bright color.
I'm having this problem as well. It looks more like a sepia look to me around the focused part of image.. Your picture looks same as mine. My pictures before did not look like this. Did you ever find a fix for this or cause?

Just wanted to bump this thread.
My photos end up with a reddish hue in the center of the photo. I've been trying to figure out how to describe this/see if other people have similiar issues. I am not sure if I can get Google to replace if it is a sensor issue or not?
Crappy sort of out of focus photo of hue:
Hi. I got my SGS4 a couple of days back. Initially, didn't have any trouble at all (mostly because I had been using it on max brightness). But now I am facing an issue I had been horrendously tormented by in the past. The grey gradients have a purple tint and the greys blurr on scrolling (esp on black background). No solution or cause of the problem is apparent to me.
I used to have a Nokia C7 back in 2011 and it used to do exactly the same. This is most evident when you have lowered the brightness. The dividers in the settings blurr & turn purplish on scrolling. Watching dark scenes in a video also shows some purple/pink smudges.
Is anyone else having this problem? Or is it just me? Is it present in all the phones or just some or maybe just mine?
Share your experience and/or opinions on this!

Well all Samsung amoled screens have some issues like earlier note 2 having yellow tint
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
I know AMOELDs do have a tint. But the blurring & smudges in videos is totally unacceptable. Is there a solution to this? Like some hue/gamma correction app? Or some color calibration for such screens?
Sent from my GT-I9500 using xda premium
Try some different kerner if there is one for S4 to calibrate colors..

In some angle u will get pink or purple tint and it s not problem
It s normal to have different experience in different angles
I had pink tint on s3 from low angle on side
Just thr s no big tint in IPS screen

Anybody an idea whether this is a display damage? Black appears not normal.

Black crush
Well, this is called 'black crush' or 'black clipping'. It is still there a little bit,but nothing serious. The first Note was horrible... Don't worry, nothing is wrong with the phone,it is a software issue, and (I think) it will be fixed soon.
Im very confused as it really distorts the display of the black.
In the settings the search field has a deep Black. Rest is more or less grey.
In the toggle menu the bottom bar has weird stripes.
It's not just a small issue. ...

You posted screen shots. No one can tell anything from those you need to take a picture of the problem using a camera. The phone's been out for over a month now. If what's happening to you were wide spread I assure you it would have been brought up (numerous times) by now. If whatever you're seeing was like that out of the box (before you loaded any apps) it's probably a h/w problem with your specific device.
I have the same issue too on my Note 3!
I'm from Singapore here.
I didn't notice that the pictures appear perfectly normal on other displays.
I did some shots with a camera.

That isn't normal - I'd you are running a custom ROM I'd take back to stock to see if the issue persists, and send it back if it does.

Mine too. Isn't that supposed to be the way the display looks? Just kidding.
A display that looks like this isn't normal and if there were a lot of them people would be going nuts.
It's either something s/w related that's fried the graphics drivers or a h/w problem unique to specific phones. If it remains after a hard reset than it's h/w and the phone needs to be exchanged.
Tried the hardware reset but didn't change anything. Bad luck this time.....

That is really something wrong.
It suppose no strip at telco area.
Beside search bar, the rest bottom part is suppose black also not grey.
I believe your screen is defective.
I've factory-rested and it's the same.
Re-installing exactly the same J1 firmware (in Singapore it's the latest) via Odin also yeilds same result.
Another friend of mine is facing the same issue.
However, the ambience at the Samsung stores are so bright, and it's hard for the customer service officers to see
Well I'll see what Samsung After service Germany will say... the point is that the screen looks ok if you test the blue, green, red and black screen test under *#0*#. But during normal use I'm faced with the problems as shown above
I'll keep you updated.
