Netflix updated there app and now most galaxy s phones are on the list of working except vibrant and captivate has anybody try to log in and worked?? On stock froyo

It's silently crashing on me right after entering my email/password. I am rooted so that may have something to do with it.
Same here.. I'm sure someone with a little extra time on their hands and experience can get it working on stock froyo if it's working on the other galaxy s variants, right?

I was excited to see Netflix appear in market on my 2.2.1 rooted vibrant marked as GT-I9000. But on installing no different from the previous apk i had that is floating around in the internet - crash after login. I doubt if it is a root issue as many are running the market version on rooted GB roms, CM7 and such. May be netflix really need to add support for froyo vibrant ROMs. Bummer!
I had the Netflix app up and running with a Cyanogen build. You won't get it running on Froyo - fuggeddaboudit.
I am told that Cyanogen now has a working GPS, so I may grab that. I only ran it for the day and didn't watch a full episode on Netflix; just tried it out and split.
BUT I can confirm that it was really and truly running, letting me check my queue, and streaming. Coolio.
(PS, rooting has nothing to do with it. It just won't work on Froyo. Get a 2.3 build and it should be just fine.)

ok someone over at the Epic4G forum noticed that the description and newly added support for galaxy S devices is for version 1.3 but market still has 1.2 for download. Hopefully we will soon have an update to 1.3 working on froyo.
App ver 1.3 working on stock KB5. Color me shocked.
Just got a market update and STREAMING working now on FROYO...YAAAYYYYY!!!
Update to the app has been released and it is working.

Has anyone else had any problems not being able to install the new Adobe update from yesterday? It downloads and looks good and then says unsuccessful. At first I thought maybe it was just hung up and I've tried about 3-4 more times including over WiFi. Running skyraider 3.2

I had to uninstall the previous version to get it to install. Give that a shot?

For me it has, qik is a piece of ish, on all the cm7's I've had nothing but bad luck it might not be gingerbread compatible yet(it only worked on sense for me). Try tango its better and it just works. This is the only video chat app that I use. I've heard success with the yahoo video chat but never tried it.

Check out this thread....you'll be happy to know that it no longer FCs on CM7 or any gingerbread rom for that matter!
The Front-Facing Camera is pretty much broken for everything except the stock camera app in CM 7.0.

I was video chatting on QIK last night with my cousin and the front facing camera works just fine. I don't know if you've try CM7 but I wouldn't go on an issue that was reported in mid February....Cyanogen updates regularly and although there's bugs still to be fix, is way better then the sense roms running around here.....just my personal opinion!
Within the last 2 days someone posted a compatable version for CM7.

Doesn't work. Once you install and run on an Evo, it forces an update to the Qik version from the market and that one is broken (FFC sends upside-down video).
So apparently Netflix has been updated today to work with a whole wack of phones. Its supposed to be working with the galaxy s. Do we fall under that category?
I can't see it in the market so I side loaded it and it still doesn't work... I'm wondering if this is a Canada thing or a galnet miui thing ..

Has anyone gotten this to work at all, everytime I use the Hulu plus app which worked on CM9 and earlier versions of ics, it stops playing the video prior to going through the commercials to get to the show

Are you using an ad blocker? If so, disable it and try again.

It doesn't appear to be optimized for ICS yet. Having the same issue on Epic Touch with ICS.
Exactly what The Root said. Works fine on The People's ROM and every GB ROM I have been on. Give it time to update.
