Keeps telling me "update unsuccessful." Maybe I should uninstall my hacked Facebook first.
That did it. I will report back if I have any awake time issues.

facebook upadated fine for me. hopefully it does solve the problem.

Well, my friend, introduce your EVO to something called Diphenhydramine.
But, seriously, the sleep problem has proven to have been fixed. Wipe and reflash your ROM of choice, if you're still having problems.

FB 1.3.1 is still keeping my Uptime and Awake time nearly identical. Facebook also always seems to be running when I check Running Services.

I was wondering today what the hell was killing my battery. The only thing I installed was the new FB and Launcher Pro, so I deleted LP lol damn.

punishment for using that cesspool called facebook imo

I got another new Facebook update this morning.

Notfications seem to be fixed, too. Everything has been taking me into the FB app instead of the mobile site on the browser.

Still at 95% unplugged at 3pm. I have made a 20 min phone call sent 20 texts and listened to music through my car on the way home which is a 20 Mon drive

New FaceBook Issues After Update

I loaded a FaceBook update this morning.
Since then, I can't do anything in the app. I open the newsfeed, and if I try to navigate from there, my app crashes.
Anyone else having the same issues?

It is buggy. tapping Profile crashes for everyone as far as I know. Someone mentioned "Flow" from the market and that works great for me.

Flow? Yes it is working for me. Just installed it last night though so haven't used it much but it hasn't crashed on me yet where FB app crashes all the time. There is a free version you can install from the Market to try yourself. I bought the paid version.

My advice is don't update on your phone, it's the same problems. Actually, if you still have the old version on your phone, any chance you could let me have the old apk so I can downgrade?

Same issues here. Crashes when I try to go to profiles. All I can do is read the wall and post to my wall.
Is there a way to downgrade?

I've started using TweetDeck last night, you can have different "columns" for Twitter and Facebook and a combined one.
It works pretty well, better than the FB app and I haven't had any FC's.

Found an older Facebook version and its runnuni better.

Keep tapping "Report" on the force close messages. If they get bombarded with crash messages, they will hopefully know there are problems.

The facebook app is shamefully useless on the xoom.

Guys, a lot of messages here about "problems on Xoom, Facebook on HC, Xoom this, Xoom that."
The problems aren't to do with Xoom or HC, I am running CM7 (Gingerbread) on my Desire HD and I'm getting the exact same issues since the latest update. This is an app problem, not a Xoom or HC one.

Try this out. Should fix the FC until facebook gets around to it
I guess I could fix the widget too, but its ugly and the next update would just break it anyway.

Browser keeps shutting down

Anybody keep having the browser shut off every 5 or so mins?

Even I have this problem.......I think so it happens every alternate time I switch on the browser......its quite irritating!

Its been happenng quite a lot to me recently as well. It just goes back to the home screen, doesn't give me a force close message or anything.

Add another to the list. Same here. It seems when I visit mobilsm in particular, my browser shuts down more often than any other site I've visited. I've also noticed when I'm working real fast in the browser it tends to wana FC with no FC message.
Ex. As soon as the browser boots I immediately start typing and pressing enter before the text finishes in the URL or Google and then I start moving the page around before its fully loaded. But that also could just be a coincidence. I've had the xoom before the iconia and I hadent experienced this problem but then again it was running 3.1.

Same problem here all day.

There is currently not a Facebook app in the market. They haven't optimized it for Honeycomb yet, but you can get it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1143913&highlight=kanged and that should work. The only issue I have with it, is that the friends list part force closes.

They must have recently taken it down, thanx for the link tho

i had the fb app on my tablet and one day it just disappeared...they took it down.

Use Friend Me

I use Friendcaster. Lots more options and when you say No Notifications..... it stops polling and giving you notifications. I notices a lift in battery when I uninstalled it. Friendcaster just seems nicer and smoother to me.

I've had that happen with the market a few times too. I normally just back out and go back in until it finally works.

Works well for me, and definately less crashes than the native Facebook for Android app...

I've actually gone so far as to uninstall the official Facebook on my Vibrant running CM 7. With the last update on July 18th, for some reason, even if you set it to never poll for notifications, never refresh, and not to sync, it still keeps the news feed open in the background and constantly refreshes it. I noticed huge battery drain one day when I took my phone off of the charger, barely used it all day, and later that night around 11 I had 14 percent battery warning. When I looked into the battery history, Facebook took up a whopping 81 percent of the battery drain on that particular charge.
Will stick to using the 3rd party options.

There are a lot of apps that you won't find in the market because they haven't been optimized for Honeycomb. I normally just install them on my phone, pull the apk, then transfer it to my tab. So far every app I tried worked just fine including fb and google voice.

Friendcaster for Tab seems great to me, but it loads continuously when I select the messages tab, not showing anything... if that'll be solved, and chat will be added, it will be the perfect FB app for me!
PS: anyone solved the messages issue?

I play a word and THEN it tells me it's my turn.

Link doesn't work on the gtab.

Link worked fine for me from xda app on my sgt, alterately search for Facebook in the Asus Transformer here on XDA.

My Messages tab does that too, as does the Events tab. Very annoying. I really hope a new beta's released soon. I sent the dev a PM about it but haven't heard anything back yet.
Strangely enough, I've seen a walkthrough video of the app (on Android Central I think) which showed them using the Messages and Events tab both working fine.
EDIT: New beta just released fixes the Messages issue, but I still have problems with Events.

Sync Problems

Anyone have errors while syncing with your Google account? I know its not my phone because I clean flashed a ROM twice and both couldn't connect. My WiFi is fine BTW. Do you think it could be Google prepping for the event for play services today

Across the board issue, they're working on it. Whether or not it relates to the press conference in 30 odd minutes remains to be seen.

Same sh*t here. I first noticed when my pictures aren't backing up and that was 1 weak ago. Firstly i think it was battery-gurus fault, but i guess it's not.
It really bothers me that can't auto backup photos!

I just fox this problem... I delete my Google account in settings and add it again. Now sync work without a problem.
