[Q] using the pc as headset over bluetooth(?) - Galaxy S I9000 General

hi
i want to connect my phone to the pc using BT and use the mic and speakers of my pc.
but when i pair them together the only service that available is a Dail-up modem service.......no headset\hands free service...
is there a way to make it work? somehow adding the service needed?

if you are connected to the same wifi network as that of your pc. . . you can use AllShare app. . .

i want to make and answer calls which i cant do using allshare...

is there a way?

I can do that with no problem. Using stock JVQ with talon kernel.
Try connect, open stock music player and during play back use the option via bluetooth.
Also make sure windows has installed all the bluetooth drivers correctly during first connect.

i'm using F1 JVP SGS2 V6 with DC2.7.3 and it does not show me the pc as an option when trying to play music via bluetooth... (they are paired)
could it b a new feature on JVQ? or it has something to do with the kernal?

Nop, I can do this since 2.2.1 roms. Could be rom or kernel related, try to ask on their threads.

No. Bluetooth computer mouse. I used to be able to use a usb mouse with my o2 flame (win mobile 6.1) and would like to do the same and figured these days bluetooth is easier?
Yes, it works well with Micro$oft notebook mouse 5000 (tested on FROYO JPH version).
how do you do this? does froyo contain relevant hid drivers?
Anyone?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
My understanding is that 2.1 Eclair does not contain HID. I have a bluetooth keyboard which stubbornly refused to work with JM1. Googling highlighted that Froyo added Bluetooth HID support. I have now flashed to JPK and it pairs and connects no problem.

Ah awesome. I may just have to go flash to froyo now...thanks.

bluetooth pairing with evo on cm7

I try to pair my phone but It says " paired but not connected " and no option to connect
I get the same thing. It looks like it doesn't have any usable profiles i.e. my headphones shows phone audio and media audio profiles. My BT Keyboard (obviously) shows a keyboard profile. There are no profiles showing for the EVO tho.
The only way I can get my MT4G running CM7 to connect is using wifi tether in bluetooth mode. They coonect easily then. Without it I can get them to pair but not connect.

Unpair the phone from the xoom.
Open wireless tether
turn on bluetooth tethering
open settings
make device discoverable
re-pair devices
then the correct profile will appear.

Well i am not trying to connect for that, im trying to use the xoom as speakers or transfer files or something else.
do i need to run a external app to have them connect after being paired?
When im running a SENSE based rom and not cm7 and i connect via bluetooth on my laptop for instance it will let me play music via my evo to my laptop lol
maybe i should try using a sense based rom and try pairing
i've gotten it to work for a file transfer once. Mikfroyo has no trouble with this though.

You should be able to transfer files after that. Sense roms wouldn't connect for me.

Bluetooth Mouse connectivity / drivers?

Does anyone know if the issue with using a bluetooth mouse is a Honeycomb thing? Aside from the standard 'I can pair but not connect' issue I have dropped in some hci tools that allow me to use terminal to detect and then connect the BT mouse via the mac address. I know that it's getting connected but the tab doesn't display the cross hairs.
Do we know if this is a driver issue with 3.0?
Sorry to technical for me but I'd like to ask you something. I can pair my Droid with my tab but it doesn't connect what's the difference between connected and not connected. I was able to transfer a photo off my phone to the tab.

I've never tried to transfer files across BT, I just always email them or use dropbox. sorry I cant help with that one.
@it2steve,
can you give a quick how-to to get the BT mouse connected? I've been trying, but it only says "Paired but not connected". I have the MouseHack.apk (from another thread) installed, but it's not seeing the device.

Cadillac CTS USB

Hi guys,
I know it sounds a little strange posting something like this in here but anyways her is my problem...
I just got my new cadillac cts and i am trying to use the usb feature which u can plug ur harddisk and usb flash and it will read all the mp3 files and u can play them directly from car.
So whenever i plug my xperia play it will say unrecognized device i tried both mass storage option and media with no luck. So my bro has nexus one connected it worked without problem ;/
So if you have any idea whats going on please help me out.
I am thinking it may be because the xperia connectivity settings which is different than other android devices so is there away to disable the auto mount from the settings and try a usb app from the market.
Thanks 4 ur time.

I couldn't get my Atrix to work in the CTS either. Did you ever get it to work?
Use bluetooth
Sent from my R800a using XDA Premium App
Remember that there is a certain lag between connecting it in Mass Media Storage and it being recognized. You'd do well in disabling the PC Companion prompt as well.
Anyone have any luck getting an android phone to work with the CTS?

That's like saying "take the train" to someone that has car trouble and can't get to work--not very helpful. What if they need to use bluetooth due to lack of USB cable or a wifi-capable computer? I know it's not probable, but the bluetooth capability is there and should be able to be used if desired, even if it's not the fastest data-transfer method.
I too, have the same problem, though just two days ago I was able to send files.
Can't help you much as I got Windows 8 and Ubuntu.
But I had this kind of problems often on Windows 8, I had to unpair (from device and phone) then pair them again, each time I had to switch from Linux to Windows.
Anyway, to send files by Bluetooth from windows, try this:
Right-Click on the file
Then Send to
And choose Bluetooth Device
I never opened the storage card of my nexus from bluetooth on my PC, I think the connection is not very stable.
