Getting Into Recovery Bootloader Prob - Galaxy Tab 10.1 General

I need help! I decided to take a shot and grab the i/o bootloader on my 32gb retail Galaxy Tab 10.1 but now I have a bad problem in which I never experienced I can't get into recovery and the stock bootloader on the guys post peters out before it finishes.I cant get into recovery due to only having the fastboot or odin icons I can flash the recovery but I can't adb it either as I just get the battery So Im stuck I can live with it if I can find away to get to recovery this is where I got the bootloader any help would really be appreciated
[ROM]IO fastboot for retail unlocked bootloader

You should be able to get into recovery using rom manager or quick boot.

NVFLASH>stock recovery and than apply [stock][eur] rom via update.zip! (the best part of the rom is a neat recovery and download mode selector with the power and left vol key combo) For instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130574

Now I can't get the tab started it seems to be stuck in apx mode. At least that's the driver that keeps showing in devices tab won't turn on Any help on that?

[Q] need help can not get into recovery mode

yesterday i reflash the rom
form official 1.6~2.2(318)
(before that i had flash the DJ.steve 1.5.2 and official 2.2 )
before i flash 1.6 all is fine , then i flash the 2.2..
i get into the recovery mod(recovery.stock.new.img) and flash
done... and auto reboot....then stuck on dell logo over 20 mins
and i took off the battery , restart hmmm and stuck forever on dell logo
i try to reflash other roms but i just can get into the the mode which choice the
1~4(factory reset.....poweroff) but everytime i choice the recovery mode it just
turn to black screen and stuck
i also try use fastboot to flash other recovery img (Clockwork recovery , Streak
recovery) all is the same...XD
does anyone had solution or method?
I had issues getting into Clockworkmod so I flashed Mistadman's recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840326 and then had no problems. Just remember that when it boots recovery, you'll get a Dell logo with an exclamation mark inside a triangle. You need to press the power button for the recovery menu to appear.
Failing that, QDL tool could take care of it.
StreakMod Recovery i had tried but is the same..XD
I might not be following your problem clearly...
But if u can boot up... try loading ROM Manager (market)... it looks like that app puts the latest Clockwork on your device with one click.
(I did not load mine this way... but looking at the app that's what it can do).

hmm
but i cannot boot up into andriod so....
If you can't boot or get into recovery then QDL is your only option. Follow the steps here:
http://streakdroid.com/?page_id=92
hmm
but before crash i already installed the QDLtool and sucessfully flash steve rom 1.5.2
new system crash i get redo all the step on the page? or i have to flash other data by
fastboot?
i didnt get that XD!
sry
still stuck... cry..

Bricked I/O tab 10.1?

[SOLVED] Okay so I got my i/o tab back up and working. See this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14586131&postcount=2.
1. I downloaded those 2 things.
2. I booted into odin mode by powering off the device and holding the power and the left volume (volume down) until it brings me to a usb and a triangle sign with an android figure.
3. Press Right volume (volume up) to select the right icon on the screen.
4. Plugin the tab to your computer and load the odin3 v1.85 application.
5. Press PDA and find the PDA_SIGNED_P7105.tar.md5 file
6. Click start and let it reboot and it should be fixed! (well that's what fixed it for me)
So I tried installing the starburst rom on my i/o tab that I won (from phandroid!), anyways I was on an unlocked 3.1 rom that was rooted. So I installed rom manager from the market to get cwm on it. After that I backed up my current rom, and then I flashed the starburst rom.
After the rom finished flashing it rebooted and is now stuck in a bootloop of continually showing the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 splash screen.
I can't get back into cwm at all. I've tried getting it back with odin and with nvflash. Also fastboot isn't working for me (says waiting for devices both on my windows and linux machine). I've tried flashing both stock recovery and cwm via odin and via nvflash but nothing is working.
I'm not really sure where to go from here. I've spent the last 5 hours or so on xda and google. Any help would be appreciated.
The first attached files shows what happens when I select the USB image, the second shows what I get when I hold down the power and down volume, and the third is me flashing cwm through odin, but after flashing it, I still can't get into cwm.
I'm not an expert, but you may want to check the file you are trying to flash as it may be corrupt. Maybe try redownloading and flashing with odin. If that does not work you may need to reflash your firmware, I think there is instructions in the dev form on where to download. Also check if the IO edition is different model from the retail WIFI version.
Hopefully this is helpful,if not I'm sure someone else will chime in.
I checked the md5 of it and it matched. How would I reflash with odin? All I can see that I can flash with odin is the recovery. I don't know how to flash anything on my tab in it's current state. I can't get cwm back, and all I get is fastboot usb mode and odin. Fastboot isn't working and odin says it flashes the cwm recovery correctly and everything, but then it's not there.
Thanks for your input, any input is greatly appreciated. Was hoping to get my tab updated to a touchwiz rom, now I can't even use it.
I had same problem happen with mine out of the blue and it's stock I/O.
Maybe the thing i'm flashing in odin isn't for the I/O tab?

Did you fix it? I had this happen once before but I forget how I was able to get fastboot to work to issue a fastboot -w command.
Okay, so I think I made some progress. I was able to get fastboot working on a fresh computer that never had adb, fastboot, or the android sdk installed. I only have fastboot working on it and not adb. :\
So I tried fastboot flash system stockrom.zip but when rebooting it just shows the
splash screen. (I waited like 10mins). I now do have fastboot working so now what should I do?

which stock rom are you using? are you using the OTA 3.1 that is in the dev thread?
try that and lemme know what happens
also, if you can get into fastboot, you can fastboot recovery, ie get back into CWM and load a backup

I think maybe my partition table is effed up? I'm not sure.
I tried fastboot and flashing the backup that I had on my computer (fastboot flash system system.img ; fastboot flash data data.img ; etc), but it just hangs at the samsung galaxy tab splash logo.
I'm using the ota that comes in the files for dummies in the dev forum.
thank you SO MUCH ... I was stuck for hours until I found your thread
but i have p 7500

you are not in download or recovery mode. turn your tab all the way off, and then use the key-combo to get into the menu where you choose recovery or download mode.
then odin will see it
Jtag will available soon for 10.1
which key combination ??????????
there is nothing shown on my tab
no light
no charging sign
blank black lcd while in """'NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for Mobile devices"""""" mode
in device manager
so good to hear that mine is not bricked
So annoying coming back to this thread because my tab decided to randomly boot loop again. >.>

Simply doing fastboot -w has never worked for me. It would just bootloop. Only way i've been able to restore it is through the steps I listed in this thread.

[Solved] I can't get into recovery mode mannually [but I can, using softwares]

Hey all,
I just got my nexus 7 wifi, rooted using Wug's tool kit, installed TWR latest version and installed CM Rom.
The problem I'm facing is that when I want to boot into recovery mannually, i.e. powering on the device with holding volume down and up, I succeed into booting to the bootloader. However, when I choose the reovery Mode option, the nexus enters into a boot loop [ if that's what you call it ].
Yet if I use the toolkit, or use the commands in software like goo or ROM managers to boot to recovery, the phone does boot into recovery.
So I'm fine for now, but if anything goes wrong in future, I will get stuck. I tried, but Even the toolkit couldn't get the nexus into the recovery mode when it's in bootloader. It has to be open, and Not in File transfer mode.
I'm very noob in these things, so I would really appreciate you explaining in simple terms.
Thanks in advance.
Update to latest bootloader version 4.23 then erase and reinstall TWRP.
Thanks, I did update I can boot via bootloader now.

Pull the battery out then put back in the hold power down home that will get you into download mode again then install philz recovery cmw make sure it's jb or kk what ever firmware you have
You need to keep trying to access dl mode. It will eventually work. Theres no way you could have erased that feature. Hold vol down and home. Then push and hold power. Make sure the device is off when you do so. I imagine you flashed the wrong recovery which would be why your device is not booting into recovery. Which version of android are you on and which recovery version you flash

Thanks guys I've been away for a while but pulling the battery then trying to access dl mode worked after a few trys so I re-flashed the 4.4.2 stock UK firmware and it solved my issue. I'm now going to try and find the correct recovery.
Thanks for your help guys I really thought I had got myself stuck there

please help ive bricked my phone :(

i have note3 n900
i rooted my device and installed twrp
then i wanted to add 3 dots menu to my stock touchwiz 5.0
i followed instructions in that thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/themes-apps/mod-tredots-overlay-menu-note-3-t3006924/
then my device stuck at samsung logo
i waited 10 minutes then pulled the battery
but here the surprise that the power button dont work ever even when try to open recovery mode
its only work when open download mode
and from there i can reboot and turn on the device.
i tried to install recovery again but when boot it stuck at black screen
please help :crying:
When I have bricked a device I either use a computer and adb. You could also use a rootkit . Which is just a graphical adb interface. The idea being - return to stock. If you get there with root and custom recovery - back up. You can then start again with what you are trying to do. I know with the Nexus 6p the Nexus root software saved me.
Sent from my Nexus 6P using XDA Premium HD app
its only work when open download mode
Then flash your stock rom via odin.
If the phone gets stuck again after flashing a stock ROM, boot into stock recovery and perform a factory wipe.
thanks guys it worked after flashing firmware throght odin
