are you sure you're not playing with volume buttons while the phone is in the main screen ? The default action for this is to play with the ringer volume. The media volume is adjusted only when some media player is active.

Some questions, is it possible to...?

Hi guys.
I've been ios user for almost 2 years and got some questions now about this mobile.
Is it possible to configure any long press action to run S finder?
Is it possible to disable notifications only during do not disturb mode? I've tried this under do not disturb settings but it disables full notifications. I mean not to receipt the white top box during games or watching movies.
Is it possible to configure any long press action to run S voice? I can only find the option for Google now.
Thanks guys.

Silent mode

Is there a way, play store app or xposed module to set the silent mode? We've only vibration mode but I'd like to set phone silent without tones, vibration and with all notifications enabled.

There is a silent mode, keep clicking the volume down button and go past vibrate move. That'll get you into silent mode.

No it's silent mode. Notifications still arrive, just no sound or vibration. Alarms still sound though.

A dummy question ?

Hi all,
I would like to know if it's possible to deactivate :
1) the "bip" sound when you touch the quick settings "Sounds and notifications" button to activate sound state after mute state.
2) the vibration when you touch the quick settings sound button to activate vibration state.
Thanks in advance for your answers.

not a dummy question at all, i myself dont like the sound the phone makes when you leave mute (or vibrate).
it might be the best to ask @wanam to include it in its xposed module, either that or "modified files"

Do not disturb icon?

Hi guys, just realized that the phone doesn't show a notification that "Do not disturb" is enabled.
Missed a few calls this morning because of this issue.
Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: fixed with a factory reset.

This is a real problem just don't know what cause it. I have this problem now on second time.
First time I reseted all my app settings and it solved the problem just needed to set everything again but lots better then factory reset.
Now 1-2 weeks later I have the problem again. I tried to double check every settings I made but it's a little bit hard across more weeks.
So now I have this problem. It's correlate with settings of apps but don't know which setting off such app.
This is my 7-8. Android device and never had such thing since DND available.

You're not alone. Did you find a fix?
Do you happen to have installed some VR apps?
Works on my S8.
Fix courtesy Igsucks https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...urb-status-bar-icon-missing/m-p/212576#M24990
settings > notifications > advanced > show apps with blocked notifications (ensure System apps are shown)
If you see SYSTEM UI is blocked then click the top right menu dots and click reset app preferences.
This resets ALL app preferences and permissions so you will have to grant a lot of apps location rights, and so on.

Message in recents..

someone knows how to remove the message that appears in the recent screen that says "keep pressed a window ...." ?? I do not know how to remove it and I understand that

You mean split screen message? Easy. Open a few apps in split screen and after several times it goes away.
