Im noticing that the latest at&t rom is newer than the latest retail rom. If I insall the at&t Rom, is it still unlocked?
Yes, I had an unlocked and installing att did not lock it back. I asked the same question here somewhere a while back.

I'm looking to get an Galaxy S5 for AT&T, and am wondering how I would update my ROM when using the G900T (T-Mobile)
My understanding is that the G900T comes with unlocked bootloader. I would be getting that model for specifically that reason "just in case" - i.e., if down the line I want to use an alternate ROM.
In the meantime, though, I want to use whatever the most "official", straightforward (i.e., "most approved") ROM I can, even if this means being "behind" on the latest and greatest.
Does this mean that I use the T-Mobile ROM? Or the AT&T ROM? Can I update OTA (as is my preference)? If not, what would be the most straightforward method of updating the ROM?
you would need to get a sim-unlocked G900T, and then you can just put your ATT sim inside and it works.
Not sure if you'll receive any OTA updates if you're not using a tmobile sim though. Most of the newer phones are already on 5.x, you you'd be pretty current.
I got an unlocked G900T last week and put a custom touchwiz rom on it from the att dev section, and it works just fine.
I recently activated my SM-N910A on my new T-Mobile account. The phone was out of contract, so I asked AT&T to unlock it, and they did. The phone is working properly with my T-Mobile SIM card, albeit on the AT&T firmware.
Is it possible to replace the AT&T firmware with a stock Samsung Firmware, or, at the very least, with the T-Mobile branded firmware (for SM-N910T)? I understand that the bootloader is locked on these AT&T devices. Is it possible to unlock the bootloader and load a different firmware onto the device?
AT&T firmware has SO much bloatware, and I've not had any luck finding a way to root the phone on this firmware, so I'm stuck with all that bloat. What are my options here? Thanks!
EDIT: The phone was updated OTA to Marshmallow (6.0.1) when it was on the AT&T network. Build number is MMB29M.N910AUCS2EPH7
I have a Verizon branded note 3 that I am now using on Tmobile. It works fine but it still has verizons firmware and I want to get rid of it... so either Tmobiles firmware or an unbranded one. Ideally an unbranded one.
Please direct me to the correct thread with directions. I am a noob and I don't know exactly what I am doing.
Regardless of whether the bootloader is or is not locked, you cannot flash stock Tmobile firmware on the Verizon phone.
If the bootloader is unlocked, you may be able to flash a custom rom based on the stock T-Mobile firmware.
There is no unbranded firmware for the Verizon note 3 as that model is exlusive to Verizon.

This may be a rather basic, question, but I'm trying to play it safe so I don't brick my S10+ (SM-G975U). Can I download an official Tmobile Android 10 ROM and flash the phone with it? The phone is not rooted and the bootloader hasn't been touched (at least by me).
I purchased an unlocked AT&T device and use it on Tmobile without issue. I am not, however, receiving any updates from AT&T or Tmobile, so I'm looking to update to Android 10.
Is this possible?

Yes, you can take any official carrier firmware made for the phone and flash it with the patched version of Odin. The bootloader has to match though. If you're on bootloader 2 you can't flash a bootloader 1 ROM. You can even flash the unlocked Samsung U1 firmware. You can also jump from Android 10 back to Android 9 and then back to 10 as of late. The phone can't be rooted nor can the bootloader be unlocked.
Bootloader version
Thanks for the quick reply and I appreciate the guidance. How would I know what bootloader I am running on my device currently and what version of bootloader the ROM is?

No problem. To find out your bootloader go to settings, about phone, software information. Look under baseband version and you should see "G975USQU2CSKP" or something along those lines. The 2 right before CSKP is your bootloader version. If it says 1 instead of 2, then you're on bootloader 1.
What's the easiest way to change over to global stock, with the phone pre unlocked by T-Mobile and updated to the latest already.
There is multiple guides and I'm not sure what's outdated or applies for my current situation? Is jumping to global back to T-Mobile again necessary with my sim already unlocked?
would like to know the answer to this as well. Just got mine unlocked by T-mobile and should have the bootloader unlocked by week's end
