2. Install (minicm7 2.3.4 rom but not from pananovn's thread,that does not have wifi and compass working)
3. Boot to cwm recovery and install minicm6
I use it and encrypted my data partition and installed some themes,just look in x10 mini forums.

you mean minicm6?if yes use CWM to install the 1.0.2 .or maybe wanna get minicm7 2.3.4 allready fixed (except the camera set to vga) for your x8 mate? try this moded minicm7 latest from nobodyatall http://www.mediafire.com/?bsdvy2i6jqnrmze...this is my personal rom...and i don't want post it on xda cuz there allready another minicm7 posting ..if you like it just press the thanks button

Got this phone from a friend and according to the software version it's running Gingerbread, on boot it's telling me it's Swift Droid, Cyanogen mod 7..

Wow, my SE phone is not SE anymore? I have installed Custom ROM 2.3.3 HACKDROID
for contact simple export - import will work. from contacts menu export your contacts. it will create a .vcf file in sd card. take a backup in your pc. install new rom & then import those contacts in the new rom. its the best & simple process

I had full wipe its..,cant help..,most minicm like that..,i had try arc-x8 too and its had same problem,but when i use floyo 015 its more better..,what wrong with that?...

Do you use apps2sd or something similar of that? (link2sd...) If so, then try to disable it, and install something. Also if you use oc, try to disable it (delete x8oc).
