Did samsung release touchwiz yet? Im mean whats the hold up?
and before anyone says anything, no, I dont want to install the buggy hacked touchwiz some people have rigged together in a few threads here. I want the official TouchWiz install.
Maybe they will first release with the 3g model and give the stupid carriers something to brag about.

lolz, if you dont want the "buggy hacked touchwizz some people have rigged together" why dont you just send a mail to Samsung directly ?!
ahahahaha unbelievable...
PS: wrong forum !
So are you telling me samsung is asking to touch our wiz before we can get the update? Grows!
Now that's something Samsung needs to deliver at least with the wi-fi version. There's no carrier restriction on it (eg. xoom wi-fi got the HC 3.2 and 3G version is waiting on carrier approval). Just bragging about the thinnest and lightest tablet wont help them getting love from the regular user. I hope Samsung doesn't screw on this one.
I love how before the Tab was released everyone was saying "no touchwiz!", and now everyone is saying "where's my touchwiz!?"

lucky for us, the Nexus S is close close to our SGS that it will help alot with porting. I caught someone's twitter last night that had Gingerbread running on their Vibrant.
If you can't do this stuff yourself, you have no right making the statement that the people that are doing it are slow. If you could do it, you wouldn't be here bashing the ones that can.

They are working for free in their spare time. They owe you nothing.
No phone has a fully function version of Gingerbread. It will be a while before you can use it for everyday use.
And finally, GTFO.

Ikr, people think these, devs just invent new, things.
All the devs do is modify, remove , or theme.
They can't add anything because they don't have the drivers from who? SAMSUNG.

they HAVE to ad bloatware, its how they make money.

The Devs can't add any NEW features than somethign that samsung did and modify it a little and done.
It takes days for devs to modify because their not building a whole new firmware.

I have a feeling that developer has absolutely nothing to do with Samsung other than deciding to get a free ride by including the name in his own.
No, I think it's legit... I don't get it either. Galaxy S Support also RTed it.

Yeah I just don't see how Samsung could be affiliated with this horrid launcher.
Either someone threw the Samsung name in their author title, or Samsung needs better quality control in their Android development department.
EDIT: I saw the twitter post from Samsungjohn and I have to say I'm disappointed. :/

This will be my first Android tablet, but certainly not my first Android device. I've owned basically every Droid Verizon has to offer. SO, here are some questions that I'd like answered, if possible
1. Is it true that if I decline the TouchWiz update (for the WiFi model), I won't be able to get future updates? Let's say I decline the TouchWiz update and a week later, I want it. Can I get it again?
2. Can I change the quick-apps thing in the TouchWiz update without rooting? The thing with the memo pad, calculator, etc.
3. If I root, can I easily remove the screenshot button and quick-apps button from the TouchWiz update? I can tell I'm gonna hate them anyway...
4. Anything else I should know???
If you decline the Touchwiz update you will be losing alot more than updates. You will lose hardware GUI acceleration, advanced multitasking, settings specific to the Tab 10 hardware.
You will be able to change the quick-apps once someone develops a app to do so. Samsung has released the API.

1. I've seen people say that they still get notification for update after declining it first time. Shouldn't be a problem, but if it is, flash a custom rom.
2. At this moment no, I'm hoping in the future it can.
3. If root, you can remove the unwanted apps and freeze or remove the screenshot but it will not remove the button.
4. Do not listen to 5th element. He states a lot of BS knowledge he has and never provides proof, and also makes false statements about custom roms.

1) Again, Yes you can change the apps in the bar. Remember just because you dont know how to do it does not mean it cant be done. Samsung has released the API to do so.
2) Wizz Bar sucks. All it does is bring up shortcuts to apps which overtake the entire screen. The beauty of TouchWiz is that the apps run on top of whatever app you were already using and you can drag them around the screen. There is nothing like this in the market.

Again, no you can't change the apps in the touchwiz taskbar. You my friend are a deranged person. The mini apps in the touchwiz taskbar are not like regular apps. They are different. Linking some website proves nothing except that you read some blogger as I stated before. Theoretically you can say things like an API is released but realistically you can do nothing as of right now. If you can please post some pics with your screen shot button of regular apps magically running as a mini app. If you cannot post your screen shot then you my friend are still a troll.
