Can I play music, video and photo using DLNA via ps3 that connected to a TV using hdmi cable? My ps3 can find SGS2 under Music and find the songs but after I press play with no any effect.
I use iMediaShare in the market to stream over wifi to ps3.
Works good if its what you're looking for?

I read a couple posts around the net that you can stream video and other media from your evo to your dlna device like a tv our through a xbox 360 or ps3 by using the imediashare app.
Have anyone used this app to stream videos from your evo to an xbox 360? How do you get imediashare to see your video files on your sd card because mine sees my audio files and pics but not my video files.

Which version of iMediaShare do you use - Free or Premium? A version comparison chart can be found at app's web site: bianor.com/ims
If you have Premium version what is the type of your video files you are trying to stream with iMediaShare?
I'm not sure how to setup clear.fi more than what it is now. My PC is sharing media files and clear.fi doesn't display them. Any thoughts on an app that will show all shared media and play it nice?

clear.fi uses DLNA.
So if you enable DLNA on your Win7, you'll see photos somehow.
But you first have to enable access for your A500.
See here:

But I'm not yet satisfied with this, because currently I didn't manage to have the same view on my A500 like on my desktop. It seems clear.fi shows the photos ordered by "tag" not by foldername.
I bought plex which streams music and transcodes video, works nicely.

I just used cifs (can get kernel modules here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1058713) to mount a network share on my laptop and then use vPlayer to playback the videos.
I'm downloading movies on my Acer a500 using aDownloader.
Some of the movies are a little choppy when I got to play then with the MX Video player.
So I want to transfer then to another source to play them.
My PS3 would be ideal, since its already hooked up to my TV.
How would I go about doing this?
Is it even possible?
Thanks!
You Could use some sort of mediaserver app and stream movies to your ps3. As long as the ps3 can play the format it Should be ok.
Otherwise use a usb drive and just transfer the files onto the ps3. Just remember to use å format the ps3 can play.

You can use the stock media server that comes with your tablet. Your PS3 should recognize your tablet then and be able to stream. At least mine does. Make sure though on your PS3 you go to Videos tab to stream videos. You can not stream videos under other tabs for Pictures or Audio even though you can see the files.

I would like to know that as well, I've read you can stream via DLNA/Allshare to a Samsung TV, but it seems those apps only stream a local file. Also I wonder whether the Nexus 7 is capable of downloading the stream whilst streaming it along to the TV.

Too expensive i think. What I will try out is a Samsung MHL cable (see Amazon) and attaching a WiiMote to the device. This should transfer the screen/audio while giving me the freedom to control it from the couch.
As of now, I have testes Plex Media Server in conjunction with the Plex App on the Nexus, which is really impressive on its own already, since I can for example link every YouTube Video I like (via myplex) and stream that from my PC to the TV (even without the Android App, since the TV recognizes the Plex Media Server on its own via DLNA!). I can also stream my Video Folders to Tablet and/or TV whenever I like. The only downside of this is that I have to have the PC running.
For streaming videos from the Google Play store I think iMediashare will be sufficient, since one can select whichever file residing on the tablet and stream it to the TV. I could not test it with Play Store Videos yet, since I get the error that I have downloaded the complimentary Transformers 3 to the maximum of devices already (which I haven't) whenever I click the download option in the Google Video Player. But from what I gather, it should be possible to download a video (rent) and instead of viewing it via the Google Video App, open it in iMediashare and stream that to the TV. Using the WiiMote App, it should also have a remote then.
In case one can't open the rental video outside of Google Video App, it should still work using the MHL Cable.
If you check that out, let me know whether it works for you
I will be able to do further testing when my replacement Nexus arrives, since I got and 8GB instead of 16GB version, I will have to wait until I got it swapped.
and therefore do not pile nexus 7...NO HDMI :/
I wait for acer a110
Hi im looking to stream video to my lg blu-ray player from my nexus 7. The player supports wifi-direct as well as dlna. Every app on the play store I've used requires me to use my computer to act as the dlna server. I'd love to know if their is a way to other make my tablet a true AP and run a dlna server from that so my player can just connect to it or how to use wifi direct to stream directly from my 7 without using a ap or a dlna server.
thanx guys
