Hello! WTF!!

I have just rooted my G1 and installed the latest Cyanogen rom. it's ace btw.
Just noticed that there is a small icon in the notification bar that looks like a phone shaking? can someone let me know what it is please?

Oops, sorted, it means it's on silent.

[Q] Text balloons

Hi all,
first i wanna say that android is fantastic! I only wanted to try it
for once,but i think i fell in love with it! =P
but..
why don't i have text balloons?!?!
my gf's sms messages are shown in little text balloons and she is using a Samsung Galaxy's S. Is there a way to make it look like she has? Im using FroyoStone Sense - V3.2.

When I got my thunderbolt I was suprised to see there was no more seprate peep widget so went out and got the file my self. I pushed it and chmod'ed it but no avail. Any help?

It is called twitter...and it is still there...
May want to move this out of development

Notification bar icons?

Hi,
I am a noob here. I did some search before posting this thread,but the search returned unsuccesful for me. I am looking for coloured icons for Gmail, messaging etc for the NOTIFICATION BAR. I am not able to find them and definately want to know the procedure to put them in correct place or install them
If someone can help me, id be obliged.

I think the only way is to root your phone and flash a custom ROM.
Try a look at the developement section and the Android Revolution and CM 7 ROMs. There are themes with coloured notifications.
But be careful you can brick your phone!!!

Is there no other easy way to do it? I cannot risk bricking my phone, already i am a noob. I dont want to get into all this trouble. I once tried stuff at my TP2, it took some time and a few tries to put new rom, before my TP2 started to work again. But the results were amazing.
Anyways, if somebody can suggest me some easy way to put the coloured notification icons in the notification bar.

select a sense theme, use launcherpro or adw after doing it if you hate the sense ui

Is there any way to get the notification bar on the bottom?

ii was recently running CM7, and ii loved the fact that ii could set the notification bar to show up on the bottom of the screen, instead of the top, like the tablets do. ii switched to the newset Mik rom, with sense 3.0 aspects built in (because ii can't live without Sense UI), but ii still want my bar at the bottom. Any suggestions?

Unfortunantley no in cm7 it is a tweak meant for tablets and also does work on the phone and since it is originally made for tablets noone has really developed one you could always request it in the forums but something like that might not be done because its not common someone wants that on 3.6" device

Ummmmm guys under cyanogenmod settings there is a tablet tweaks section, in there you can make the status bar at the bottom.... just did it.

I think the op was asking if there's a way to do it on Sense.
I've tried putting the notification bar at the bottom but I always accidentally hitting menu or back button..
