[Q] How to connect Hero using bluetooth network? - Hero, G2 Touch General

Hi all.
I have no data plan on my Hero and no wifi at work.
However,I have internet connection in my private TouchPro and it is able to send the GSM/3G connection to the air via bluetooth(AdHoc/BT Network/PAN) (Internet Sharing PAN).
I can catch/connect the PAN provided from TouchPro on my laptop and it works well.
How can I catch the internet, shared from my Rafi via BT?
Thanks in advance.

Internet Sharing between two pdas

I am wandering if there is a way to share my internet connetion between my alltel ppc 6800 with the new htc shift. I know how to link the phone with my laptop but I am currently looking at purchasing the shift to replace it and was wandering if the connection would work. If anyone has tried this please post.
P.S. the connection would be via bluetooth unless I converted the mini usb from the ppc 6800 to usb back to usb to plug into the shift. Thanks.
not sure if it could be done with BT, pretty sure it cant be done with USB (unless the shift can operate in host mode)
what should work is wifirouter (im sure the shift has wireless)
ok so how would i get the connection to work through a router? The only internet connection i have is through the ppc 6800.
nono, wifirouter is an app that you would run on your 6800, it essentially turns it into a wireless access point that other wifi enabled devices can use for internet access
where is the app available for download at?
Is that the only way it would work or could I configure the 6800 as a modem to connect?
ok I downloaded the app but still cant connect. I am trying the connection via my laptop and it stops at waiting for Internet connection sharing. is there some setting that needs to be changed or what am i doing wrong?
You ever figure out how to get the internet on your pda using the 6800 and the connection? I would like to do this bluetooth with my setup.
The newest version of WMWiFiRouter ($$$) allows you to do this over wifi, BT, or USB. If you have the money, it's a great program.
I have WMWifiRouter and use it with my laptop. How do i use it with bluetooth to get internet on my Dell X51? The x51 wants to dial a number when you setup a connection.

Internet sharing from Axim
I'm looking to do the same thing. Bluetooth to and HTC (Touch in my case) from the Dell Axim. The Touch has internet sharing on WM 6.1 and support BT only. I can make a BT connection from Axim to HTC Touch, but there's doesn't seem to be a way to use the internet connection.
I want to be able to use the Axim's larger screen and the Touch's internet connection when not in a wifi area.

WMWifiRouter
I don't know about using Bluetooth, but if you plug it in via USB and select data sharing on the 3G, it works seemlessly.
Active Sync
This is how i am doing it:
I installed Active Sync 4.5 on my Notebook.
Whenever i connect my Touch 3G, the device is asking me, what i would like to do.
Active Sync, Drive or Internet Sharing
Chose internet Sharing and your Notebook will recognize a LAN connection on your USB port, receiving a IP adress from the HTC and can use the Internet routed over your HTC, this is it !
Hope i could help.

Internet sharing
Hi,
I use internet sharing through USB connection and it works perfectly. On Windows 7, no additional settings are required, it just creates new network connection using USB modem.
Haven't tested internet sharing using bluetooth.
Regards,
Pavel
You can share internet connection via USB cable or via Bluetooth connection. Also You can set you mobile as a Wi-Fi router and can share internet connection on other mobile phones as well as on notebook.
I have HTC HD mini as well as HTC HD 2, via bluetooth internet connection works great, not yet tried with other mobile phones.
