I am on Gingerbread 2.3.4 JVQ which is a European firmware (my country is still on froyo i think), the only problem I am facing is that I cannot send multimedia messages because I cannot set MNC to 1, as soon as I change it the whole APN disappears. Did someone find a fix for this? I have tried everything, changed apns-conf.xml file dozens of times, even tried with deleting it but it still just wont allow me to set MNC to 1.
Thanks
"Reset to default" is not working?

MMS problems
Hi for Everyone!
I have very interesting MMS problems. When I would like to send then the first time my phone not sending. After it I delete the original message put down the settings to defaults, and I could send an MMS. If I would like to send again nothing happens...not sending. The 4th one could send.
When I would like to receive an MMS message I see the fact about the message but I could not download it. In this event not help the change-back to default settings.
All of my settings about internet or MMS are correct I gave it from my provider (T-Mobile HU)
My cell is as about:
SAM GT-I9000; PDA/PHONE: XXJVT; CSC: XAJVT; Firmw.: 2.3.5; Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000XXJVT-CL617736 [email protected] #Semaphore_JVT_1.8.2 .
Any idea or thing about this?
Thanx for possible replies.

No. I guess the problem is MMS was left out when Itje cooked it, and from what I read the aftermarket MMS program still wasnt working. I installed the MMS fix cabs before I even noticed there was no MMS on Black. Thanks tho

David has there been any update to the MMS fix? Did you and whoever you had looking into it ever figure something out, or did yall just give up?
BUMP
Anybody
I am also very interested. I actually use MMS and also really like the spped of the 6.1 roms
I actually sent an MMS message with the one of the 6.1's finally. I dunno if I can receive them though. I am hoping that I can get somebody to send me one soon and see if it works.
Wanna share your fix with the community? We can help you with the testing.
Sure there are two cab files I ran after that I had no issues sending. I still have not been able to receive a single mms message though. I have tried everything on this site to make it work to no avail.
I am wondering if its just the fact I am on tmobile? I am not sure if anyone with Tmobile is having the same issue
Hi all, hope someone can help please - I did some searching of the forum & google but all I can seem to find is the U.S. settings.
Whenever someone sends me a picture message, I don't receive the MMS itself on my phone, all I receive is an SMS telling me I've received a picture with a URL to go & view it.
Can someone tell me what I'm missing please? These settings were loaded automatically after flashing with a new ROM (Dutty's, as per my sig), but the same problem used to happen with the official 6.1 ROM too. BTW I have the unbranded HTC TD2, not the T-Mobile version...
Current MMS Server settings:
Code:
Server Name: T-Mobile PictureMessage
IP Address: 149.254.201.135
Port Number: 8080
Server Address: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002
Connect Via: T-Mobile PictureMessage
Send Limit: 100kb
WAP Version: WAP 2.0
Thanks
you need the full settings
I'd you Ho on the t mobile website
and go to support you can send the settings to your phone
if it doesn't work let me know as I work for t mobile.
I don't know how it goes there... but maybe you have to call the operator for enabling that service. Here you have to do that for some services.
I am with T-Mobile on an unbranded TD2 too. I also had the same problem.
I rang T-Mobile customer services and the sorted the problem with a sim update.
Don't you get something like this icon at the top of the screen when you get an MMS?

I'm on T-Mobile UK with unbranded Touch Diamond 2.
Im having a problem with sending emails from the email application on my Xperia X10.
This service has worked flawlessly for me over the past week, though it has suddenly stopped, and I am all out of ideas..
I can still recieve new emails..yet when I reply..or try to send a new email.. it just sits there in the outbox, and the outbox tab shows connection error as shown in the picture below.

There doesnt seem to be any way for me to check what this connection error is, as there is no long press action, nor does the options button on the bottom left help..
What I've tried:
Ive tried deleting and re-adding my email account.. I've checked the settings and made sure they are the same as my bro's N900, (and my x1 has no poblems sending emails either..so its not the account..)
I have also tried manually entering the settings listed in the following link.
http://liveunplugged.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!F92775FC46A390CA!422.entry
Anyone have any ideas? I'm sure other peoples emails work, just like mine have done over the last few days, I just dont know what to do now..
Any help would be appreciated
I had the same problem with POP mail until I ticked the -Account settings- Outgoing server settings - Requires sign in, then fill in the boxes.
Now I can send as well as receive.
probably wrong smtp setting.
You need to use your operators SMTP server, this solves your problem.
so if you use hotmail, set inbound server details for hotmail but outbbound for the phonecompany you use.
Hey guys, after installing CM 12.1 ROM on my G800F, I encountered a problem: my mobile data doesn't work neither on 3g nor on LTE. Everything with mobile data provider service is alright, I've tested it on original Samsung's ROM. What do I do?

You have to manually create an access point

How??
Settings-Mobile Networks-Access Point Names. Over there usually are 2 APN's, 1 for data, 1 for MMS. I think for most people it automatically setups, maybe that's not the case with your network.
So check on your networks website how to setup APNs, or go back to official Samsung ROM, screenshot both settings and make the same ones on CM11.

This is the part of my APN profile.
Settings >>>> mobile networks >>>>> access point names >>>>> add a new one like this:
Name:your operator name
APN:your operator name with " .net " in the end of the name
Server: same as operator
Im not sure wither its the same on all operators but that's how it works in my country
try it out and hit thanks if it works : D
Thank you, guys. I manually set the APN and it works like a charm!
So i have recently flashed a custom rom meant for verzsion on my sprint phone, and i have done this before and the only thing i need to do to make it work is change the apn settings so text messaging goes through. ( it usually works fine, just has trouble retrieving SOME mms messages) well i went to mobile networks and apn settings aren't there. weird. only dating roaming option is in there. so i slept on it and the next day they showed up but it said i didn't have permission to edit or add a apn, so i rebooted my phone, and the apn settings aren't there anymore. I have tried asking voice control to open it, but says there is no app for that. So installed adb shell, and it recognizes my device and i can reboot it through adb, but thats about it. i am totally lost when i look up guides on how to change apn through it. What should i do? i need to change my apn to sprint if anyone is wondering.
Also, a good thing to mention is the current rom i am running is
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9505-develop/rom-albe95-s6-port-1-0-t3092479
alright so i was able to get to my apns by downloading a app from google play and setting it as a system app. it opens up but now im getting this,

What about using the reset to default option?

still leaves me the same problem.
What about editing the apn file manually? I don't mean in the settings, I literally mean the actual file located somewhere in the system folders.
