Not Waking - Think after bluetooth connection - Galaxy S II General

Hi,
I have a intermittent problem.
On occasion I am unable to wake my phone, either by the power button or home button. I have to battery pull etc.
I've noticed it most after I have been in the car and using bluetooth.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Lots of threads out there about this - e.g here and here.
I myself have seen my phone reboot / freeze / whatever after using bluetooth. Mine might be making its way back for replacement soon ...

i have seen the same a number of times.
instead of removing the battery, plugging the phone into a charger will wake it up and then you need to turn off/on bluetooth.
Steve.

JAM does not turn off after being turned off

If I check in "Settings-System-Power-Advanced-On battery power" to turn my JAM off if it is not used for some time (e.g. 3 minutes), it goes off and then I can not turn it on. I tried to push/hold power button, nothing helped but soft reset. If I turn my JAM off manually by pushing power button I can turn it back on manually too. But after 3 or 4 times it acts just like it was turned off automatically, i.e. iregardless if I push or hold power or any button, LED flashes green and the phone does not turn on. The worst part of it is after I push Power button trying to turn my JAM on and LED indicator starts flashing green (and JAM still remains off) if somebody tries to call me he hears the signal as if my phone is ringing (not busy signal or "The number you dial is not available right now" etc.)
Does anybody know what the problem can be? I've got this problem even after hard reset with no third-party applications installed.
non functioning of on/off switch
Check the connectors of your battery on the inside of the JAM. I had the same problem and I found out that one of the connectors did not really "touch" the battery.
I checked it. The contacts on the battery look like they were scratched by contacts on the phone, so I'd think the connectors are in good contact. I even tried to put a small piece of paper between the battery and phone bodyon the left side to make sure it is really pushed to another side, it did not help either
JAM does not turn on after being turned off
Did anyone ever find out the answer to this??! I have the same problem with mine except it's a bit random - mostly doesn't turn back on again after an auto power off for a long(ish) period of time - like at night.
sounds like a possible fault is occurring. Best thing is to do a full backup of your system and then do a hard reset your device and see if the same thing is still happening. If it is, try the positioning of battery as suggested in earlier posts and if still happening, then a handheld service is required

Shortcut to power off and WiFi on power on

I've been busy reworking my 8125 as a dedicated GPS unit for use in my car. I've been using WM5SE from dferreira as a lightweight and stable ROM with much success. I do however have two slight issues that I would think should be easy to overcome.
First - I want a one-button click-an-icon way to shutdown the phone. And by shutdown, I mean totally off. I've run across a number of different options and every single one of them winds up doing the same thing - the phone goes into suspend, but is not actually off. Any ideas as to what I can do to just get the damn thing to turn off without trying to hold down the power button?
Second - when I turn the phone back on, the WiFi connection defaults to being powered off. Is there a way to make the WiFi hardware turn on by default?

Power button not working

It happened to me today the first time on my second Atrix. I haven't installed any new apps. I was streaming music (from SD card) in my car over bluetooth. When I wanted to exit the car I wanted to turn off the bluetooth. I pushed the on/off button and nothing happenend. I thought the battery is empty. I plugged it in and the phone was awake and it had 40% battery left. I could use it totally normal just that the on/off button was not working. I let it go to sleep again and tried to wake it up with on/off button but it wasn't working. Couldn't even reset the phone. I had to pull the battery while the phone was running. Not good....Now everything is fine again. The on/off button works. The button feels and looks physically ok, so I don't think it is a hardware problem of the button.
BTW, I don't use any market launcher or screen lock widget.

I never had a problem with the button before and I don't have the 5-10 second delay the people are describing here when pushing the button.

[Q] Bluetooth turns off when not connected to anything? WP7/Mango

Hi all,
In recent weeks my bluetooth is turning off when it isn't being used. I only use it for hands free in the car and up until a few weeks ago it always stayed 'On' however now, once disconnected from the car radio, it turns off again.
If I turn it back on away from the car it will go to 'Off' shortly after turning it 'On'.
It's a touch annoying as it means I have to get in the car, turn the engine/radio on, unlock the phone, set bluetooth to 'On' every time I drive and want the phone on hands free.
When connected to the car radio, the bluetooth stays on without problem, so I am not entirely sure what is going on.
I have tried turning battery saver off, restarting the phone etc. but nothing has changed this behaviour.
Has anyone got any suggestions on what I can try next, I'm a bit stuck!
Thanks

[Q] Can my N7 completely turn off when power is disconnected?

hi all
like many others iv put my nexus 7 into the dash of my car. i was wondering if there is an app or way for my nexus to turn itself off when i turn the car off. iv figured out how to make the device turn on when power is restored to the device but still not sure how to turn the device off.
also would anyone know why when the nexus turns on, it immediately mutes itself? it is connected via 3.5mm jack 100% of the time and tasker opens up power amp but other then that i don't know what might be causing it. any help is appreciated on both issues
cheers

If you have tasker installed, create a state which is dependant on battery power - as an exit task tell the tablet to wait for 10 seconds, then call the misc->reboot action with type shutdown to turn the tablet off. The wait 10 seconds it to prevent it powering off when you are cranking the car...
If you just want to turn the screen off, not power the whole tablet down, there's a tasker action Display->System Lock which will turn the screen off..
You could also use tasker to change the system volume for you if you needed as a workaround...
*edit* - BTW - the tasker reboot options don't gracefully reboot / shutdown, so if you have apps running, there's a chance that you may lose data. To do a 'graceful' reboot / shutdown, you are better off using the secure setting plugin...
