No phone - Streak 5 General

My phone has been unstable recently, and for some reason now I've lost all ability to make calls.
I was using streakdroid 1.9.0, but now I'm updated to 1.9.1, however the phone is still failing.
Things are failing all over the place actually, but the phone is the main problem I want fixed.
Does anybody have any ideas? My current avenue is to try to update the baseband to the 354 build, but I'm having trouble finding it... any help there too would be good.
Thanks to all who want to help me.

Disaster averted, never mind, still I would appreciate a link to the latest baseband...

I am wondering what you did to fix your no phone issue.
My Streak also fell into a restart loop and no cell/phone connection cycle. I found that the reboot cycle stopped if I removed my sim. But, a new sim card didn't fix the problem.
I tried taking everything back to stock from Gingerstreak but that had no effect on the problem which was back within three days.

I froze a process necessary for my phone to work.

Phone rebooted twice today

I'm wondering why this is happening, it has done it before but 2 times within 3 hours. I'm beginning to worry... Any ideas?
Oddly enough it seems to do it right when I pick it up to use it.

I had mine reboot on me today as well, it's the stock rom with root. I didn't pick it up. It happened while I was tethered using the free Wireless Tether App and the phone was asleep.
Yea, I don't even have root.. it has done it 2 more times since my first post.

Just a guess, but check the battery temperature.
Dial *#*#4636#*#*
Select battery information.
Mines at 36c.

Probably was just hot at those times and just rebooted. I don't think you should be too worried

one of my co-workers has been having the same issue. (completely stock as well). Mine has rebooted a handful of times, at least once that was possibly at the exact time as my co-worker's. He's called in enough that they are offering to replace the phone.
Me Too
My phone has been rebooting more and more recently. I suspect it is very poor signal causing the phone to work too hard, triggering a reboot. My will get to 109 degrees for no particular reason, and then start rebooting.
My warranty replacement (refurb) is expected today.

3g problems

Is this just me or are other people experiencing problems with 3g randomly dropping. Ill be using the internet and next thing I know I get no service even though I'm sat in same place....

That is a common occurence, currently I use my iphone sim and this happens a fair bit. I believe its more of a software issue hope this will be resolved when 2.1 comes out.

I had that problem with my first Vibrant. The problem will get worse. Take the phone back and get a new one.
It might even start freezing
Did you restore any old "system data" after switching ROMS or restoring a nandroid? Have you tried to run the "fix permissions" script in ROM manager?
I've had the phone since day one. I can't return it now can i?
My phone randomly reset on me one day sitting on the table and went into a loop like this. Battery pull fixed it.

T-mobile might still help you out. There's no harm in asking.

I guess u checked the wifi settings.
I have seen that some one had this issue. He installed quicksettings app and the wifi issue was sorted.
If that does not work, try factory reset.
I am also having the same problem, not able to turn on wifi on my new dell streak. Did you find any solution yet?
Factory reset, removing battery also doesn't work. I cannot even install quicksettings app since i am not able to connect to internet.
The only solution i have is call dell. I called she had me do a hard reset then when that didnt work she set me up ffor a replacement it shpuld be here thursaday. I tried diffrent market apps. Hard reset factory reset and tried to research it. I came up blank. Dell mobility 1800 308 3388 then hit option 3 and wait.

I know when I did it, it took a good 5 minutes but eventually rebooted and I had root again. How long did you leave it running?
Actually i forgot it and left it for an hour or so

I had the same problem you need to install a SD card that will make it work.
thank you, i thought i had my 16gb sd installed, but when I checked it, it was not recognized by system...so i took it out, put in and it always mentioned sd card for just a second, then dissapeared again...seems to be a bug...now it seems to be seen, i started gingerbreak...but takes way longer then the first time...i let you know if it worx now
I stopped and reinstalled Gingerbreak after updating my device. I had same problem as you describe. After reinstalling Gingerbreak my problem was solved.
Now it worked...the issue was that my acer got some troubles with my sd card....it rarely accepts it....
