Need help restoring game and data - Atrix 4G General

I have spent hours between last night and this morning searching, and I just can't get it.
Moved from N1 to the Atrix last night. Unlocked, CWM, Ken's 4.5, root, etc.
Tried to restore my fav game, 9 innings, via TiBu. Seemed to go well. Open the game, crashes with an error (in game, not system error) about an inability to load the game data. OK.
Uninstall app. Install from market. Restore data with TiBu. No go.
Back to N1. Move to internal storage, back up, switch to Atrix, restore. No go.
No matter what I do, I just can't get this game and data and to restore.
Am I missing something here? Any advice, tips, suggestions, thoughts?

Shameless bump for help. Emailed app dev, and they state that the game doesn't support a back up at all. If it just stores a data file, I don't see why it wouldn't read a replaced data file...
Any thoughts or ideas? I'm up for trying just about anything at this point.

(Resolved) Backing up apps with data?

I have been trying to find a way to back up an app named Alice, you input your favorite bands and it lists their gigs in order of how close they are to your location. I have used Titanium to back it up, but when I restore the back up, none of the artist information that I had entered is there. Someone please tell me that I won't have to reenter all of the musicians everytime I update a rom!
P.S. First post, been using the site for a while. A MILLION THANKS to all of the devs, customizers and board members. I have learned so much from all y'all!
Titanium backup
Use titanium backup to backup prefs and data if u have android phone
Let me be more specific about what I have tried:
When i am running my everyday rom (pancake 0.1), The symbol in Titanium indicates that it has backed up Application+Data+market entry for Alice.
Been playing around with Fresh 2.0. Downloaded Titanium on that rom, restored the Alice app with data through titanium, but none of the artist data transfered.
Don't tell me I've stumped the great minds of xda! I thought it was such a noob question.
Hmm... I know many ways you can back-up apps. As for backing up data INSIDE of an app, you can't do it unless the app has it built in... Let me download this app and see what I can do. I will BRB with more
Ok, so here what you are going to need to do. Go to http://last.fm and sign up. You then need to list all of your artists on that account. NOW You can just install the app and enter in your lastFM username and it will add all of your artists. ALSO, This app auto-scans your SD Card for artists (Which is actually very useful) anyways, hope this helped a little.
Thanks a bunch! That will fix it!
Don't know why I didn't think about going the last.fm route.

SGS life after a Hard Reset

since i was unable to find the proper answer to fix the problem the easy way
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=793254
i had to go it the hard way
just went ahead and Wiped my phone.
it was less painful than i though it'll be, it was within the calculated parameters of the process involved to get your device up to speed in record time in a massive failure
so once the phone booted back into the OS, the very first thing i did was to setup APN
then sign in to my gmail account, BAM! got all my pictures, phones, contacts, calendars, etc, every thing back
then next task was to install AppsBrain, hit sync and BAM! i got my list of 400+ apps to install back
now i'm clicking through about 800 times install, okay, continue LOL :r
and i'm rather surprise Android Market, and the OS hasn't crapped out on me yet with the massive deluge of files action
it's install faster than i though... only 200+ apps to go
and about 15+ more email / IM accounts to join back into the system, and reconfiguring 400 apps
the Titanium Backup backed up files got wiped out in the process
at least i'm getting a good vibe out of this, it means the upgrade to Froyo will be just the same
the phone is HOT of all the 3.5G activity
the actual 3 button reboot to Recovery Mode + Wipe data and reboot back took less than a minute.
chances of missing a call during this time is quite low
SMS will be downloaded as soon as your phone goes back into OS, so chances of missing out on an important SMS is very unlikely
another interesting i noticed is that the File System is not choking up as it did before the Hard Reset.
before i couldn't get more than 4 apps downloading/installing concurrently in parallel
right now i'm doing around 10 at a time, and it doesn't slow down.
what gives?

Click to collapse
Really? Maybe i should wipe my device to
Installing more than 3 apps at the same moment.... it´s just a pain...
exactly, normally when you try to download and install 4 apps simultaneously it gets sooooooo slow, worse than a snail
but for some odd reason right now that is not happening, it's smooth download and install, i wonder that's the difference
recommend you buy/install mybackup pro.. you can reinstall a bunch of apps without it prompting you for each one... i think if you pay for titanium backup it does the same..
i frequently copy the appmanager (diff app i use) and titanium backup directoryies from internal to external sd so i have have a backup in case of a full reset ..
i also set mybackup pro to backup directly to external sd.
yeah, that was my problem i forgot to move a copy of titanium backup from internal SD to external SD
otherwise i'd not have had to go thorugh 800+ clicks to say OK to everything
LOL
well... after aprox 250+ apps/games installed the phone is going back to its old self slooooooooow when you try to install 2 or more apps concurrently.
and the list of Manage Apps takes a while to load up
so it seems like the sweet spot is to keep less than 200 apps on the phone to keep it running silky smooth
Thanks for the report and the painless part, AllGamer.
May have to try it one of these days if I screw up.
After reading you post, I move the Titanium Backups to SDcard
just so I don't forget. Now have to remember to update it.

I can't even imagine how you have 800 apps on your phone. I just counted and I have 21, and to me that is a lot, but perfect.
not 800 it's 400 but for each install you need 2 click
so that's 800 clicks
Can you do a write up on step by step how to wipe and reinstall the (JH2) ROM, kernal, modem etc for i9000M?

[Q] Zenonia5 Save File backup?

Hello~ All Experts.
Recently I have changed my phone from LG Spectrum Verizon to Nexus 4 Straight Talk.
Been loving the phone and am glad that I got off Verizon..(finally)
Well I was enjoying my phone as usual but I encountered a problem.
I was playing the game Zenonia 5 on my LG Spectrum (VS920) and well wanted to play it on my Nexus 4 before I sold it.
So I used several method to backup the files...but all method has failed...
1. Used titanium backup to backup game data + game. restored it in Nexus 4. -> Game will not start at all. Just blank black screen when started.
2. backed up the files in data/data/com.gamevil.... and copied this into the same folders in Nexus 4...Did not work..same output.
3. Using Titanium, I tried using the "data only backup" and restored it..still the same result..
I have been playing long hours on Zenonia 5 ..and well the same thing happened when I was playing Zenonia4 so..I just stopped playing.
But this time I really would like to see the ending...lol.
Can anybody help me?
Thank you in advance for your help.
I invested $10 in this game and..I am level 70.. I really do not want to lose it! :crying:
THanks!!!
Restoring on Server..
Also.. I did try to backup to server and restore..
I did try this but it does not work for some reason.
It successfully backs up the save file to the server but when I check using my new phone (N4) it says there are no back ups.
When I go back to my Spec. it actually finds it and restores it..

[Q] Titanium Backup Problem

Hello! I have a problem with Titanium Backup not restoring apps properly. Here is what happened:
- My two sons were sharing the Nexus 7 so we had two users. Then we decided the Nexus was going to belong to one of my sons only but he wasn't the main user. So I backed up his games and then deleted his profile. I then tried to restore his games on the main profile.
- First, his apps were crossed out on TBu. After some googling, I read that if I redownloaded his apps from the market, they would not appear as crossed out anymore. Which I did.
- Now when I try and restore them, I get the option to restore data only. If I click on that, a message appears in notifications saying: "Data restore complete for "?"" But when I go back to the games, the actual data is not restored.
Long story, but if anyone could help I would be immensely grateful. My child is hoping to play with his games after school today...
Cheers!
thi is the only place this is mentioned, having this problem as well. any solutions?

A205U, what can be done with it? Any specific Guides? And other questions.

There are threads upon threads upon threads of things you can do with every other variant of the A20, but almost all of them have the disclaimer "Doesn't work with A205U." This is making it pretty hard to find guides for things that *can* be done with the A205U. Perhaps if someone could compile a list of guides that work for this stupid outlier of a phone it could be of great use to the community.
Specifically, this phone seems to have a terrible storage management issue. You uninstall things and it doesn't free up all of the space that was being taken by the program. Without installing anything new, after having done a factory reset, and only updating existing apps, my free space went from 9gig free to only 5 gig free. No amount of cache clearing has remedied the problem. Indeed, the reason i did a factory reset, after putting it off for like 2 years, is because i had reached the point where i only had ~800mb free and had to clear all app cache every day, sometimes multiple times a day, to keep the phone functional. The free space seems to just disappear into the nether. If there is a way to get this to stop, or at least how to get all the free space back without a factory reset, i would go full Jessica Simpson and LOVE YOU FOREVER if someone let me know how.
Related: Since almost everything out there for doing full back-ups requires root: is there a way to back everything up without root? So non-stock recoveries work on the A205U? Can i put TWRP on this thing?
Somewhat related: The samsung Message App stopped storing messages as SMSs and now stores them as Chats, which means my SMS backup program no longer has anything to back-up. I didn't realize this and ran my backup, thought it got everything, and then re-enabled "delete after 200 messages" so that the database could be cleared and i could get storage space back, and turned it back on after it had cleared everyting and freed up ~700MB. Then when i went digging through my back-up database looking for information i discovered that the "chats" had not been backed up. Is there a back-up solution that anyone is aware of that would not have this gaping flaw? The program i used hasn't been updated in years, but i haven't come across one that will back everything up to an IMAP server (or something like unto it) which allows the messages to be searched from anywhere without the need of a desktop or database app.
Additionally: Is it possible to use Odin or Heimdal or some other tool to make a full flashable image of the A205U from the phone itself? IE: i factory reset, get it setup with everything i need and all accounts restored etc., and then take an image of that, and then when i need to "reset" the phone again i would just be able to reflash that image/snapshot of my perfectly setup phone, restoring it to a "factory reset" type state, but without having to go through the hassle of a few days of downloads and setup again.
Penultimate: Is there a way, without root, to fake the phone type to the Play Store so i can install things that "aren't compatible" but actually are?
Lastly: Has anyone managed to get Diablo Immortal to run on an A20?
Many many thanks for any help that can be rendered with these concerns. Especially the storage one. My wife and I both have the A205U, and cannot afford new phones, and the storage thing is driving us both crazy.
PS: does it brick the phone if we attempt to flash it to the firmware of another A205 variant, like the A205S (for which guides seem to abound)?
