For all having problems with 3g not working on at&t with this firmware, I got it working. The problem is they added a new default apn setup that only work if you pay extra and have ATT enable the 4g plan.
For me to get it working on my pseudo unlimited ten dollar a month family data plan I Added an apn with the following settings and make sure to set it to both internet and mms. Also make sure to enable it.. ie choose it do it has s little green circle next to it. You may have to reboot after.

i have a unlocked sim free HTC hero that i am currently using on AT&T, whenever i try to send an MMS it shows the message pending symbol on the top right of the message and it stays like that for at least an hour and then it finally tells me that the message could not be sent. i have added AT&T's access point name if that makes any difference...
What APN settings are you using? Are you able to receive MMS messages?
i am using the AT&T sim from my iPhone and have read that AT&T has mms disabled. Not sure if this is true. Below are the apn settings I am currently using.

I'm not using a sim from an iPhone so it should be working and those settings are exactly what im using
Make sure your Wi-Fi is off. I also have AT&T and my MMS only works on my Hero when I turn off my Wi-Fi. I can only hope that the rumors of AT&T 3G bands being hidden by the firmware can be true, because it is a ***** having to constantly turn my Wi-Fi off to receive an MMS.
Oh , ok problem solved .
thanks uultramann switching my wi-fi off fixed the problem, but your right that is a hassle, and if the AT&T 3G bands are hidden does that mean there will be some sort of update for the hero to get those bands or am i completely off target?
Does anyone know for T-Mobile USA? Everything works except for MMS!

this is my setup, i can send and recieve mms with no problems how this will work for you guys...
I can receive mms but there is a download button in the mms... once i click on it, it downloads it but i dont know where it is stored... help
for those of you having to turn Wifi off to get their MMS to work, instead of leaving the APN Type blank, try setting it to 'mms' (without the quotes obviously, and all lower case)
that should solve the issue for you.

If you have the Telus version then yes.
I have tried all MMS settings for my Mytouch Slide for Simple Mobile, I can send just fine, but it will receive only some times. Can anyone post there working APN settings that they use.
If you are rooted with cyanogen.. go to
settings, cyanogen mod setting, performance settings
Make sure "Lock messaging app in memory" is Checked [yes]
(thats could be one problem..)
I been having the same problem with my slide. Did you find a solution?
See post below.
So, I called Simple Mobile and finally got my problem resolved... The APN settings on their website are not the same as the APN settings she gave me. I posted them below in case someone needs the correct settings.

My wife was recently deployed so we cancelled the mytouch 4g on tmo and they waved the $200 cancel. fee.
I have been reading on xda that several people use simple mobile with tmo phones, and their webpage says this phone is SUPPORTED. I called a local dealer today and was told that I did not have to UNLOCK the phone because its running on tmo when its on simple mobile.
He said people are NOT throttled unless they are tethering or downloading torrents/movies.
Do any of you use simple mobile? Specifically, do you use a mytouch 4g on simple mobile and would you recommend it. My understanding its rebranded tmo service.
I loved the mytouch 4g, but couldnt stomach the $83 a month. My current phone is a optimus v (sprint aka virgin for $60 a month unlimited everything) but why would I want to use this phone (which I can return as Ive had it less than 10 days, I have 30 days to return) when I have a 10x better phone my mytouch 4g...
Suggestions... comments? Complaints about simple mobile? Thanks!

Settings -- Wireless & networks -- scroll to Mobile Networks -- Access Point Names -- Menu -New APN.
Name it T-Mobile
APN: epc.tmobile.com
MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
MMS PROXY: 216.155.165.50
MMS PORT: 8080
MMS PROTOCOL WAP 2.0
MMC: 310
MNC: 260
The protocol, mmc and mnc set themselves. Everything between APN and MMSC just leave as <Not set>
Menu-- Save
Make sure it's selected under Access Point Names, reboot. Those are the settings on my wifes Aria and MMS works fine.
nope that did not work either
Hi. I am currently using a rooted Nexus 4 with a stock rom. I've been trying to configure my APN for MMS only. I currently have this set up in my APN settings which I got from here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882479
Name: Dummy APN
APN: dummy
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410

(remember to hit lower left menu, save)
Name: ATT MMS

MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com

Even with this set up Android OS is showing up in my data usage draining a lot of data. Can anyone help me out with this?
The easiest way to use mms without data plan is to call at&t and black your data, then you can enable internet and mms will work but data wont
I called before and ask them if i can do that. They said your MMS wont go through since the data is blocked.
OK, so I have an At&t Galaxy S4, one of the originals, I'm on baseband MDL, rooted, with TWRP auto-loki recovery. Running CM11, android 4.4.4.
I'm off contract with at&t, am trying to switch to straight talk to save money. I followed all their directions to port my number, activate service, etc. I can make and receive calls, but I have no data (phone shows bars and the LTE logo) and no texting ability. Straight talk has been worse than useless, and I haven't gotten a support person yet who can actually speak English.
My apn settings are as follows:
Name: reseller
APN: reseller
Proxy, port, user/pass, all not set
MMSC:
PHP:
http//mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS proxy:
PHP:
proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
APN type: default,supl,mms
Rest is default.
Note: my phone is NOT carrier unlocked, but it didn't complain in the slightest, and still doesnt, about the ST sim. I did get an unlock code from at&t, but when I switched to the T-Mobile sim to try to trigger the unlock message, the code wasn't accepted. Tried it twice, no dice.
Please, I'm desperate.

I am not sure if you have gotten this taken care of yet, but I have always had good luck with the following:
- Press Main
- Select Settings
- Select Wireless and Networks
- Select Mobile Networks
- Select Access point Names
- Delete all APN's in this section.
- Press Menu
- Press New APN
- Enter the follow settings one for General Data . The other for MMS

I do know for a fact that leaving your mms at ATT will NOT work, even if you blank it out it would stand a better chance at working.
