[Q] How to calibrate the Touch Screen on custom rom

Got this phone from a friend and according to the software version it's running Gingerbread, on boot it's telling me it's Swift Droid, Cyanogen mod 7..
I'm very new to all this so I have no clue what this means but the touch screen is off calibration and I can't find the option to recalibrate it..

nope its an apk file so you just install it like a normal app on you sdcard

What to do on my rooted blade

hi all, im just wondering, what can i do with my rooted blade???
so far, ive put clockwork recovery on, flashed android 2.2, got flash player, app2sd etc. what else can i do to take advantage of having a rooted blade????

Install Android 2.3.4, 2.2 is old.

I tried several flash player hacks for Blade, but they could only view the ads at best, the built-in videos got my phone freeze, reboot, or just loading for too much time.

A great thing to do is installing adfree and removing those annoying ads!

Try 691! Its stable for pretty much everybody! But you can give 710 or even higher a chance, but do not check "set on boot" while experimenting!

Unity Virtuous 2.37 Front Camera not working on mytouch4g

Ok, some how i tested the front camera on mytouch 4g to take a picture, but i notice that it was not working.
So, tried and tried but the onlyt hing that came out it was that only black screen, and freezes.
Since i installed the ROM i did not test the front camera until now.
Is there any fix?

Working fine for me. I'm also on vu 2.37 with unity v9 kernel.
Do a full wipe and reflash.

i got the kernel V9 too, but before that i installed the tweaks u.s.a.v**

Just do a complete wipe and flash the rom again. May be FFC will work now.
If you still face problems try any other roms than VU.

Also try the ffc without any themes. Some themes break stuff.

Yea. Just go into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik under advance and reflash the rom.
Once it boots up just fix permission in rom manager, reboot and try the ffc without any mods.

Any roms out there without the camera flash lag?

Hey guys, just curious if any if you know if any roms that done have the lag that causes the flash to not sync with the shutter. I have tried a bunch of rooms but they all seem like they have this problem beside the aosp roms. Any helpwould be greatly appreciated, thankyou

It's probably not a wipe issue since it's a known issue on Sense 3.5 ROMs. However, I believe that is the only platform that has that issue. All other ROMs including earlier versions of Sense (like 3.0) don't have that bug.

Alright then. I wonder why I've never run into that. I've used 4 different sense 3.5 ROMs and use my camera everyday.

I wipe the cache and do a factory data. I actually just tried virtuous with sense 3.0 and still had the same issue. Im back on stock now cuz is the only sense ROM I can find without this issue

Unity ROM has that issue, with Sense 3.0.
You need to flash Doubleshot camera to get rid of it.

You should wipe system partition between ROM flashes. It will save lots of issues in the future. That, followed by wipe data/factory reset (on CWM). Alternatively, if you're on 4EXT there is a "format all partitions (except sd card)" option.

Thanks for the link so what would be a good rom to work with this apk? i figure it wont work on any 3.5 sense roms as no ones been able to resolve the problem towards the flash and camera on those roms, if im correct?

Any gb sense ROM. That includes Sense 3.5

Well I just tried mikrunny. Wiped, flash, rebooted and than flashed the doubleshot camera but I'm still getting the flash delay I know I'm just being picky but the only reason I have a mytouch if for the flash when I go out to snap pics, otherwise I have my vibrant for my everyday phone. I just wish I could find a 3.5 ROM that doesn't have this problem, I really dislike stock espresso ROM lol

Well, teejay said its probably not a wipe issue, but as I've said before, this has never been a problem for me. Format system, wipe data/factory reset (in that order), and reflash. Formatting the system partition has saved me many an issue that others have reported.

Then try sense 3.0 rom.Im gonna try one in this weed end.Anyway,CM7 has a great camera.

Alright, so I just installed virtuous unity and loved the ROM but camera did not work with flash so I tried to flash the double shot camera and still same issue I guess my question now, since I can't seem to get my camera to function properly on sense 3.5 or 3.0 roms, what ROM if any would anybody suggest. I want something fast and smooth, any help would be greatly appreciated, thankyou

I don't know why, but I think it's a kernel thing. This happens to me too, until I flash tdj sense kernel and it's fine. Others have reported this helping as well

Well they did say any rom with a recovery. My screen is still being ordered so I wouldn't be trying it.

if aroma doesnt respond to touchscreen,just use volume keys to navigate and home to select,(as if you were in xrecovery).

so, i tried it a long time, it seemed to work, but for sure not on stock rom, cause stock kernel doesnt seem to support init. scripts (i wouldnt swear on that)
it should work on stock based roms with another kernel (doom, fera)
