Lately since flashing the Synergy rom I've been experiencing random restarts and the browser closes to the home screen without a force close prompt. I switched to MIUI now im on Aosp both with the same problem. Before flashing I perform full wipes is there something I could have done wrong??? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Okay so since I bought my Magic phone 2 week ago I immediately started flashing all good roms but then the problems began. When I was using the phone I started getting all sorts of force closes for all processes runing and it wouldnt stop until I rebooted my phone. This happend about 3 times in a day so I thought the rom was corrupted or something (I was using the new radio with newest Gyd).
Then I flashed newest Cursor sense and thought the problem was fixed but it happend again so I decided to downgrade hboot and radio and flashed the Gyd for old radio and the errors appeared in an hour using the newly flashed rom. I always whipe all things before flashing. I havent got clue what is wrong, please help cuz this is annoying.(Now im using cursor sence again)
Note: I also get system processes FCs
Go in recovery and try the fix app uid. If you still get FC after that i suggest.
Wipe All
Flash
(Don't reboot stay in recovery)
Fix app uid
now reboot
Still FC ?
PS: Are you reinstalling you app manually or from a backup on another rom/radio mix ?
I reinstall all my aplications manually, just so you know I also get system processes FC not just apps.
It might take a day or two to try get these multiple FCs, I hope the fix app uid works
Okay the FCs showd up again after I did what you said, any more ideas please?
I read some article about task killers , that they often cause FC. I use Autokiller and Advanced task killer.
I alwaly end processes after using some apps Could this be responsibile for FCs?
EDIT: Errors stopped showing after I removed several built-in programs (wich I don't need), and didin't show up ever again. ( now I am using a Super D ROM)
hi guys..
if this has been explored/answered before i apologise... (i have searched.. believe me!!)
keep on getting an issue where when i access the sound options under the settings menu, it always force closes...
"The application Settings (process.com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly, please try again"
anyone have any ideas? i'm using Shubcraft 1.5, and also using the latest kernel and zimage
Well this happens to me only the first time i boot a build sometimes the market forces close even the Launcher does it , usually i wait 10 minutes for the phone to breath then i turn it off & then back on and everything works great.
when trying a new build you shouldn't use your phone from the first boot you should restart it
and finally have you just tried this build or you have been using it b4 ?
I thought it was my build for android, but decided to experiment and flash a new WM rom, i flashed OZroid and i never had audio drop issues anymore.. I think it's related somehow based on what I experienced..

This happens on any of the builds.. On my phone anyway...
I don't have an issue with the sound..just trying to access the sound settings...
Rebooting, makes no difference.
Any ideas?

I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out why my phone keeps rebooting. I've tried stock 4.1.1, stock 4.2.2, pacman, carbon, CM10.1, aokp and they all seem to reboot. The reboots are pretty random but I can pretty much always get it to reboot within 30 minutes if I'm playing some sort of audio or video. Also when I turn my screen on (from sleep) it flashes this weird screen (see attached image).

could be a ROM/Kernel pairing. have you tried wiping system/data/internal storage - reboot recovery, then flashing a new ROM?
the static screen is common on custom 4.2.2 ROMs, but it's usually a quick flash. I don't get any random reboots though.
I've tried many different rom's along with the Vanquishkitties kernal but still random reboots
I noticed my phone acting weird, specifically it would not play any audio, I noticed this because when I was in the dialer it was going really slow. Then I tried to play some notifications and none worked. I rebooted my phone and all seemed ok, I've attached two logs the first one being while audio would not work and the second after the reboot. I'm not really sure what to look for in the logs but thought someone here might.
This might be something...
E/AudioStreamOutALSA( 300): pcm_write returned error -5, trying to recover
Or this, just a warning though...
W/AudioTrack( 692): obtainBuffer timed out (is the CPU pegged?) 0x63d72108 name=0x6user=00001000, server=00000000

Just noticed that when in the dialer and the phone starts working very slow, if I turn the sound all the way off, the phone becomes responsive
two more logcats for anyone interested in helping this time one is when trying to use google voice actions, I actually get an error message that says can't open microphone and the other is when someone called me and I did not have any ringtone but I answered and I could not hear them and they could not hear me, shortly after my phone rebooted, I did not catch the reboot in the logcat.
Also when it reboots it doesn't reboot all the way it boots to the boot logo screen and then hangs and I have to hold all three buttons until it reboots again, is there a way to get it to just reboot on its own?
After the reboot everything seems to be fine until I experience the same issues again
Which ROM are you on right now? That sounds like a kernel level issue

I'm currently using CARBON-JB-NIGHTLY-20130712-0020 and kernel [email protected]

Has your issue been resolved? I am almost facing the same issues of random rebooting with my phone and was searching for a solution....
Did anyone ever find a fix for this?
Stock rooted 4.1.2 with some frozen bloatware and a GSM-specific build.prop file. I get several random reboots per day. Has upgrading to KK fixed this for anyone?

Im having this issue and Im on kitkat.
Hello, I have been having issues with my LG G2 (VS980) rebooting randomly after the screen shuts off for a lock. It sometimes does it when I let the screen turn off from inactivity, or when I turn the screen of with the power button, only to be unable to turn it back on. It happens randomly, and with no way for me to replicate it. It has happened on 4 different ROMS:
CyanogenMod 10.2 (cm-10.2.0-vs980),
PAC-MAN (pac_vs980_4.3.Build-1_20131128-135105),
Carbon (CARBON-JB-UNOFFICIAL-20131024-1220-vs980), and
AOKP (aokp_vs980_jb-mr2_unofficial_2013-12-01)
I have also tried Custom G2 Kernel (vs980-custom-05-cm), as well as the stock kernel with no success.
I've wiped Dalvik-Cache and Cache multiple times, as well as full wipes when flashing another rom, and the only time that I have had no problems was when I was running the stock ROM.
Here are a few logcat dumps of what may of happened when it crashed: (just add a 'h' to beginning, cannot post links due to being a new user)

All of the crashes happen around line 3800.
Any help would be appreciated!
EDIT: I have also tried using no lockscreen and using one, and I have no widgets at all on the lockscreen or the homescreen.
I had the same problem with my Verizon G2... every single ROM was way too unstable and I couldn't get widgets to work on half of them.. plus I was having messages popping up saying that I wasn't rooted when trying to delete apps..... so I say forget the ROMs.. stock with debloading Lol..
