hi all,
i have some problem with my wildfire battery while charging it stuck on charging percentage like 70 to 80 % everytime than i need to restart my cell after 5 min of charge than its start showing 100 % but it will take almost 4 to 5 hours for a complete charge.
I already tries to clear battery status in 100 % but like other clear cache n all when we clik on yes its shows cache cleared but in clear battery status nothing such type of massage shows by my phone and still facing the same issue with my wildfire.
I already S off my phone and using my backup of froyo..
Kindly suggest me what to do after a full charge my battery last for almost 24 hours...
Have you tried charging when the phone is off?
If it still isn't charging, have you tried using the AC Charger?

but buddy i dont wanna switch off my cell for charging it will take almost 4 hours for a complete charge...
kindly suggest something else that will going wrong with my cell??
Do you find that the battery drains particularly fast?
Or does it just take long to charge?
no my battery gives me good backup almost 24 hours it stuck on certain % while charging and i need to restart to get it full charged.
How old is your wildfire? The long charging times I'd say would probably be down to a messed up battery

Make a full charge (keep for 30min even after green led). Then enter recovery and wipe battery status. Then use the phone till complete discharge. Then after few complete charge-discharge cycles, it should give better if there is no battery problem.

Huh? Does the charging animation show, and, does the notification LED glow when charging? Also, are you using the genuine charger?
If putting your phone on charge decreases the percentage, how do you keep it on after the battery drains completely?

Well Firstly yes to all ur questions ...
and I always have to Re-Install the Mod when this happens
Its probably the first time I am hearing of a case when charge decreases when the phone is charging,
But anyway, as said above, try re-calibrating your battery.

I have CM7.1 on my MT4G. Over the past week or so, my battery has been dying after 2-3 minutes of use. I'll get a full charge, take it off the charger, use any app(Angry Birds, Gtalk, text messaging...) and the phone will shut itself off after just a couple minutes of use. When I turn it back on, it says 2%-3%. It then shuts itself off again, I plug it in and turn it on...says anything from 3% to 90%.
I've always ran the battery down and charged to full. Is my battery kaput? Is there a way to fix this?

Most likely.. take out the battery and inspect for leaks(might be very small discharge you might not see it clearly leak can and will damage your phone)..let it die completely, and let it stay off, charge it till the green light comes on, reboot into recovery, clear battery stats, reboot and see how long it last, also change your brightness, and other settings that might be consuming battery use..if none of these helps.. just buy another battery.
Sounds like your battery is screwed. Just buy a oem battery or get a mugen power 1650mAh

My issues aren't quite that bad, but after I upgraded to CM7.1 from 7.0, by battery has been terrible. 15-20m of phone calls over BT takes ~20% of the battery. 15m on Angry Birds chewed up ~40% of the battery. I downloaded the latest nightly (252) and will see what happens.
Try a dif battery and see if it does the same thing. So you can rule things out

Mines also been horrible since I went from CM 7.0 to CM 7.1. Not sure whats up but it dies in like 6 hours on standby. the battery use app shows that most of the battery usage is by "Cell Standby". So effectively, doing 'nothing' is eating up the battery?
~Phil
I guess I'm not having the problem you guys are having with battery drain. Granted I didnt use my phone that heavily, but still sitting at 60% after 10 hours. But if your battery is dead after 3 minutes something is seriously wrong, I agree and try a new battery.

You need to calibrate the battery after changing ROM's. Download a battery calibrator from the market. (Don't pay for one. There are like 10 free ones)
Charge the phone fully overnight. Calibrate it in the morning.
Give it a few days to gather new battery data, and then enjoy getting a full day's use from the phone.
Update
So, it's gonna have to be the battery. Recalibrated, no good. Tried a few different ROMs from CM7 nightlies to MIUI, no good.
Waiting for the new battery to get here to be sure.
Thanks for all of the help and advice!
same problem here
hello there, i got 2 mytouch 4g both running the same rom (virtuous unity 2.39) one of them has eaten 2 batteries that i bought thinking that the batteries were somehow broken or damaged... i came across this thread, read the reply recomending battery calibrator when i reached for my phone (that i left sitting on my drawer waiting for a new batt AGAIN) to give it a try and to my surprise it was still on and i has been on for 2 days 11hours and the fricking battery was at 97% before that it started to turn off-discharge so i put the thing on airplane mode and there it was till now... dunno why or what but i think it has something to do with the radio/network... hope we find a cure for this
I've been having this same issue, and I was wondering if replacing the battery fixed the issue? Thanks.
Ok I lied, it's not one hour backup, it's 50 min battery backup. I charged my phone to 100% 4163mv and played about 2 songs, battery dropped to 47 and then suddenly 0%. It all happened in less than 50 min. Just when I was thinking, it can't be more worse. I charged and battery was 99% :O. Another time, phone shut down at 40%, when charged moved up to 70% and number started increasing every 3 seconds. I did calibrated it many times so that's out of question. I bought this phone in May so I will be surprised if battery is defective. I'm confused. Please help!!

On a side note : Does the back cover of your phone fit?
Cause when I had this problem my battery had literally expanded in size.... :X
Due to which the back cover did not fit perfectly.......
Yeah, it fits perfectly..

Download from market app called Battery Calibration.
Open it and connect your phone to the charger. When you have 100% status, and ~4200mV click Calibrate and unplug your charger.
Then set the LCD Brightness to max, set timeout to never sleep or just use your phone to fast discharge it(that doesn't need to be fast and doesn't need to be slow it just need drop to 0%).
Let it automatically die because of low power, and then charge it to 100%(you can use battery calibration app to see the voltage, around 4.2V it's max).
After that your phone should have a much better battery life.

He already said, he did calibrate the battery....
I 100% think you need a new battery Mate....
Try installing any stock rom before. Maybe that can help. I was getting ultra fast battery drains when I flashed indroid 5.0

look up resetting the battery log. mine used to jump from 90 to 100 in a few seconds.
Hey guys, sorry for interrupting you.
Ive got a weird trouble affecting my Nexus 4. For some reason my battery life went nuts. I didnt drop the phone to the water or ground, and my battery life decreased to 3-4 hours max.
So, first of all the battery life is somthing like that:
100% - 15 minutes - 75 % (no wifi or 3g) - 30 minutes - 60% - 1 hour - it turns OFF. When I connect it to the charger, its says 1% of battery left.
Charging process is like this:
5% - 7% - 30% - CHARGED. The whole charging process takes about 30 mins ...
I rooted it, used BatteryCalibration - nothing works, it just turns off when it decides to. HERE is a swcreenshot taken 30 mins after charger unplugging, and 30 mins after taking a screenshot device died ...
I hope you guys can help me somehow, should I take it to the service?
Thanks in advance!
Do exactly as this thread says and your N4 will be fine
