Update:
you must change the 1200 to 1650 manually, cause the 1200 is standard for the app
I have used that app and that is the default setting it does not auto detect battery size u have to manually enter 1650mah in tue settings.

please change the thread title.
Also battery monitor is estimating current readings on this phone cause the galaxy s2 doesn't output current, only voltage and temp.

I use batterylife which shows the percentage and a few other things.
Or you can use BatteryTime Lite.
I use system monitor lite that shows the battery and other info as well.

I used this on my Hero, however it does not look good on the Desire. I think the icon is designed for lower resolution handsets.
I use this one, love the style.

This is solely a thread for comparing your battery life to everyone elses!
Format for posting:
1- ROM your using (Specify stock or otherwise)
2- Kernel your using (Min/Max Speeds + Gov.)
3- Picture (Just go to Settings>About>Battery Uses)
4- Anything special your doing (Battery saving app, certain settings, ect.)
Maybe some people will discover some ways to save more of their battery?
1- CM7 Nightly #36
2- Scarykernel at 245\1056 on BatterySave

You can clearly see where you started streaming porn in your battery graph. Decent stats though; even with the potential TOS bug.

SHHHH
Lol but accually, I rebooted my phone and I have no idea why it dropped that much.
Ok so my battery percentage has been acting really really strange. As shown in the images below. It was at 70% then I was warching a few youtube videos and some other stuff and it dropped to +/- 30%. So far it all makes sense but then I put it a way in my pocket and after half an hour I went to take a look and it was at 60% ??? Why is my Xperia Play doing this?

Now I'm scared to rely on the percentage indicator because I don't know how accurate it is and if it is showing a higher than normal charge or a lower than normal.
I am running Gin2jellybean custom rom with doomkernel14. I am overclocked at 1.2GHZ.
I remember back when I was stock I had a similar problem but it wasn't this severe like it would usually go up 1 or 2%
Also I do the clear battery stats (I do the method properly) once every month or two. I think I did it 2 weeks ago.
Any ideas?
Try to wipe caches and battery stats. And try bad ass battery monitor its free from the play store

This is always my secret to extra long battery life. Purchase it from the Play Store
Android (5.1.1) doesn't need loads and loads of CPU power to function buttery smooth.
Lower the CPU clock speed, that way you'll be using less CPU power which will in turn save you battery life.
I don't even know which apps could help with this issue. The usual suspects (GSam Battery Monitor/Better Battery Stats) don't report anything unusual, yet these two "apps" drain battery more than everything else combined (aside from the screen).
I have been getting max 4 hrs of sot.people are getting 7 hrs.
I think I have found the problem. I checked my processor using cpu-z and found that processors is running all cores all the time even when no app is running in background. Its running them at 652 MHZ to 1300 MHz and scales them to 2 GHZ when ever a touch input or key press is detected. Can anyone share their cpu-z stats? Specially the guys who are getting 7hrs sot.
Check "screen on time " thread for more info.
I bought up this issue a while ago and it was ignored mate there is no proper scaling it seems like all 8 cores are at there lowest or there fullest and not much in between so maybe a kernel problem?
Bump.
