Its the one from the Amanzon App Store. I have an account and its linked to my phone. I know the trick for most apps like Angry Birds is to unmount the sd card and install. Usually that works but for this game its to large so it needs the sd card. Anyone experience this problem or have any working solutions?

it just went right on for me... no hassles
You have a stock Streak? I am on official build 3.18 with perf. fix and superuser update plus custom recovery mod Dr. version designed for Streak non beta. I wonder if has something to do with my sd card its a 32gb model.

I also downloaded the .apk from another site and put it in my systems app directory in my phone without the sd card and still got the exact same error. It doesnt even take it a second to spit back that it cant install it. Its like its not even trying.

Found Solution!
Found Game .apk online.
Copied it to phone via root explorer to /data/apps
Unmounted sd card and waited for 5 seconds [did not do this before]
Installed Game .apk by clicking on it in Root Explorer in /data/apps
Mounted sd card
BAM! Working!
I have no idea why this worked but it did!

Marketplace just notified me that there was an update for Google Sky available. I currently have it installed and it works fine with the leaked Rom but in won't install the update. Funny since the reason for the update is because its been optimized for Froyo. I wonder if there's something in the OTA to prevent Rom users from ever updating Google apps.
This is my first Android phone, first rooted phone, and first time using a Rom so this may be normal but I wasn't sure. Thought I'd pass on the info..

Unmounted your Sdcard and try again.

Tried, still comes up unsuccessful.
Do you have the market fix installed?
If that still doesn't work I would completely remove it and install it again.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
Yeah I haven't completely removed it and tried again, but Market works fine. I've bought a game since going to the leaked rom and gooten updates for other apps. This is the only one that doesn't want to update successfully for me.
EDIT: I even reinstalled Google Earth right after going to Froyo without a problem.
I know you said you unmounted the sd card, but did you do it by going menu>settings>sd & phone storage>unmount sd card? Then downloading sky map?
If that doesn't work, go menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all>market & clear data & cache. Then install.

Thanks! I unmounted and cleared cache, then installed and remounted. Worked like a champ. Thanks again.

Great tip, thanks!
Got a question to which I haven't been able to find the answer to. I'm switching from an 8gb to 16 gb sd card on a rooted dinc with s-off, 2.5 radio and stock 2.1 rom. Do I need to root again or will the phone read the card and everything is the same?
Also, had anyone tried a 32 gb card.
Thanks

32GB card is definitely great, I love mine!
As far as swapping, if you have done the unrevoked3 method of rooting then you are fine. The original root method left busybox on the sdcard, in which case it just needed to be swapped over. But now, you're golden.
Where is busybox located on the sd card?
Sent from my rooted Incredible using XDA App
If you rooted by using the race condition (where you had to use a loop batch and pop in/out your memory card) then busy box will be on /sdcard. If you used unrevoked3 then it is internally on your phone.
Either way if you are rooted, I'd recommend the busy box installer app from the market. It keeps it up to date for you

Nice. Thanks guys. Might go pick up a 32gb instead of a 16gb.

I believe that the original root's update.zip copied busybox from the SD card to the filesystem.

It's just /sdcard, not /system/sdcard
Whoops sorry for the error!

OK, I'm trying to download and install some other country version of navionics to see if it works on the streak before I go buy the lake version I need, but install fails. I suspect I may need to unmount the sd card to get it to install. I unmount, but then the streak wont let me download unless I insert or mount the sd card. I can't even transfer it to my dropbox and download it from there because it also requires me to mount to download.
So basicly I'm wondering how I unmount the sd card and install non-market apps.

No one knows how to unmount and install an app on the streak?

Never tried installing an app with card unmounted .
to unmount card go to settings SD card and unmount.
Have you tried putting the streak in plane mode then trying to install the app
I just tried airplane mode and that didn't work for installing problem on the navionics. I know how to unmount the sd card, the problem is, when unmounted, I can't download off my dropbox to try installing it. And I don't see the apk file I throw on the root. Is there somewhere I can put the apk and have it loaded or install from, somewhere on the root maybe, when the sd is unmounted?
Gez, all I want to do is try a navionics so I know if it works or not before buying the one I need fir fishing.
I contacted navionics asking if the maps work on the streak and they aren't to bright.

It's has really been the pain in the arse. Really.
I use Lord's Ice Cold Sandwich. This happens occasionally, when I tried to download SD data for a game, the SD card remounts as being read-only.
I tried full-wipe flash, format SD card with Disk Utility of Ubuntu, then reflash it with Android's utility. I tried unmounting sdcard in CWM. I tried fix permission option in CWM. Nothing helps so far.
Thanks in advance!!!
There's an app on the Play Shop which claims to fix this, give it a try

Would be nice if you can post the name of the app too, I can't find it.

I guess the problem lies in permission thingy. Flash this zip file in here works: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1458021
Gud luck!
i think your card is getting faulty ......
back up all data and then go for any experiments ....

I actually tried that. The other day I backed up stuff than formatted the thing with Disk Utility tool of Ubuntu. I then went extreme, formatted it again on Android.
I guess the app above might help. The thing is I'm still under 18 for a credit card, hence gotta wait another year to be eligible.... mannnnn
Apparently, the SD card is still in R/W mode, it isn't til I start download data for games, download music, use dolphin... that it becomes read only. The process usually goes for half the bar, than stop.

Should I repartition the SD card with swap storage and ext4 and stuff?
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium
Just format the card with 4ext then reflash rom.

Are you able to flash your SD card? If you are having the same files after the formatting which you had then I don't think anything will work rather than replacing your SD card
Hey guys i recently formated my SD card and OMG!
So Basically i launched up MC4 and saw a MASSIVE, I Mean MASSIVE like 20 Seconds less time to load it up, So if u want this perfromance just follow, :3
1. Download Mini Tool Partition Wizard
2. Either Connect Device with SD Card into PC in Recovary or Put SD Card into PC
3. launch MTPW (Mini Tool Partition Wizard)
4. Backup All SD Data (Cut to PC)
5. Wipe Whole SD Card
6. Format in a Fat-32 Format
7. Disconnect SD Card and Leave for like 10 Mins
8. Connect SD Card
9. Copy Old Files
10. Enjoy Super Speedy Device + SD
Also a Little tip i recommend starting Fresh with this, eg what i did was flash a stock debloated STRAIGHT After and i felt fresh?? weird right, but its even better
:3 Enjoy!
completely agree with you, I once a month (or sometimes every two weeks) formatting my SD (after making a backup of course) and back to create the ext3 partition again, and then to reinstall the rom (Stock Clean) feels soft as butter ..
Yes!, I already clean my dalvik cache + del unneccesary files but from now on I want to format my play every 3 months! (weird right?, but it keeps it buttery!)

There is also an app called sd maid. It will clean your sdcard without having to move everything off. It more of just looks for dead files and files linked to games/apps not installed and deletes them.
Market link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.thedarken.sdm
I use this every few months. Reboot the phone and away you go

I used this app 1 time, but i ran everything (mostly) and it detected my cwm backups and thought they were dupes so they were all deleted exept the newest one -_-, guess it was my fault, but i use something for my internals, its called root cleaner, but its paid, but worth it!, i run that like evey week or so... along with the supercharger superclean script!
Isn't going to slow down after some time?
