Flashed CM7-- can't download - HTC Aria General

I rooted my aria and flashed cm7. Love the look and feel of it so far. The only problem I've ran into is that I can't download some things, (games,PDF, videos, apk )both in market and web. Is there some settings I need to change.
Thanks for any help

Ok I figured out the web downloads, needed more space on sdcard. I still can't download some apps from the market.

If you are in the US on ATT, go to the Market and try downloading "Market Access". Use it to set your provider to T-Mobile US.

Are they showing up and you can't download? Or are they not appearing at all?
Sent from my cm7 Aria.

They start but then disappear. I can pull the notification bar and watch them show up for a brief sec. That's it.

I think he meant "market enabler". But that's for fooling the market so you can download apps that otherwise wouldn't show up for you. Its a neat app but not related to your problem if its just the download problem.
Try this: menu>settings>applications>manage applications>all>market. Clear cache and clear data. See if that helps.

Nope, didn't work I even wiped dalvik and re-flashed Google add on and that didn't work. So I may wipe and format all and re try it.

I'm not sure that it's his problem, but I did mean Market Access. It's an improvment on Market Enabler and AD Free. It's on this site, not the Market.

Thanks but that didn't work either. I'm waiting on a 32gb SD card so I can transfer all my apps. Then I'll wipe and reflash and see what happens. Thanks for the help I'll. Post an update on the out come.

Try this: menu>settings>applications>Running Services>all>Google Services Framework. Clear Data and Force Stop if it doesn't automatically. Then Reboot and see if it worked

I wiped dalvik, and formatted and reflashed cm7 again with Google add-on. And now I can download the apps I wasn't able to.

Upgraded to JPY but lost google apps!

Just upgraded my Vodafone Galaxy S to JPY using the Kies patcher and although it upgraded fine, I've lost all my google apps!
Anyone else seen this or have any suggestions?
Just a brief follow-up...
Noticed that there were no longer any APNs listed so added Vodafone. Downloaded and installed Market 2.2.7 from another thread and have managed to download all the missing apps and so far seems fine (and very fast!).
Google downloaded apps missing?
How to restore that?

go into settings - manage applications - find market - clear data - reboot - check again.
If I'm not wrong, a simple reboot should suffice, but it doesn't hurt to clear the data off your Market app.

How to Restore Apps Automatically

I was wondering how to get my apps I previously downloaded on another ROM to automatically restore with a newly installed ROM? My phone is flashed to cricket so I don't know if that has anything to do with it...Sorry for the dumb question....Thanks in advance

you can use titanium backup to batch restore your apps

That's what im talking about...They don't download for some reason..its weird

Google sync downloads them all. I use adw launcher that allows you to back up app placement on you home screens. Makes it real easy to resetup everything when I flash to a new rom.

Thats odd, have you opened the market to check if its trying to download them? I had I freeze once during sync but I just restarted and them it finished downloading all my apps

The paid version of titanium backup allows one click automated reinstallations of your app backups.

Market stopped downloading

I am not a noob but not a dev. I been flashing roms for few years. So anyways my market is not letting me download anything. I have tried clearing cache. I tried clearing data. I tried flashing to my backup and that didn't even work.
Oh but wait, some apps do auto load. AND SOME ARE PAID APPS!!! THAT I PAID FOR. its totally weird. It's like the market has banned me or something. Anyone see this before or know a solution?

I did that. I fully used the ROM first. Oh well I went to my original backup ( Elegant Blue Themed Orange Sense ) but thanks. All the other Roms and backups have the problem. I bet I have some UID problem and I need to wipe SD as well.

Try going into the application settings and clearing the cache and data for the market. Then reboot into recovery and fix permission.
-hope that helps.

Gmail widget is gone

Hey guys, after I rooted my SGT, my gmail app is there, but my widget is gone. Anyone know how to get it back?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using XDA App
Check and see if gmail got moved to the SD card. If it did move it back to phone and reboot.

Common issue when you root the SGT, happened to me. See the instructions at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15214760&postcount=2 to fix it.
Nice sk63! Worked no problem. Thanks guys.

an even EASIER way was to go into recovery, wipe cache and wipe Dalvik Cache then reboot.

When I found the Gmail.apk in /system/app/ I didn't have an option to uninstall, so i hit delete instead. I thought there was a gmail app in the Market, but after I deleted, there was no app in the market. Does anyone mind posting a copy of the apk for me?
Yeah man, when I get home ill upload the apk. If you still need it.
