I sent my old X10 to sony ericsson to get repaired. when i sent the phone. It was unlocked. Now i received it today to find out it was locked. The imei number is the same. And even the sticker behind the phone is the same / same imei.
Am confused to why / how the phone is locked again. And why the phone looks like it had a new housing on it. ?? It was just a charging fault. .. No complaints tho my screen looks new and the same unlock code i purchased a while back worked..
Just confused to how the phone was locked again. And the case was replaced ? Did they just put my board into a new housing?

carrier or sony service?? if it was the first is normal if it was sony then idk it just suck you can unlock it again or call them saying you had an unlocked phone idk

When the charging cable was plugged ali, it would illuminate the led light, but the battery wouldnt charge. Unless you replug the cable.

I purchased the unlock code on ebay and used it again. So works fine now . Just dont know why the phone was came back locked

But the imei was the same . And Same label on the back. But the screen did look newer :/ it wasnt even a screen fault. :/

haha, i had a charging problem too ( i had to hold it for it to charge ) and they had to hard reset it for no reason...

I'm assuming that people don't understand where they enter their unlock code. If this is anything like the other Android devices I've owned, then they have to stick in a sim card that doesn't belong to the carrier it's locked to. After you do that, it will ask you for the code to enter in.

When you get the unlock code from tmobile it does come with instructions.

Well obviously some of the phones that where unlocked do not register to the cell network anymore. They can not even scan for networks.
So if you want to provide some help here then please:
Tell us how the unlock process worked. Especially did you phone reboot after you entered the code. How long did the reboot take, ...
If you can an want please provide a logcat of the radio from the moment of boot until the data connection is established.

I got my unlock code emailed to me, but I'm going to get a new phone at Costco today. The deal is just too good to pass up vs. from the T-mobile store.
After I get the new phone I'll unlock it!
Did they get their codes from tmobile or another source? Even in the instructions it said it was gonna reboot. Mine did after I typed it in then the reboot was as long as a normal reboot. And that's it

My phone kept rebooting.
Wot steps did u try, to resolve the reboot problem, such as flashing new roms or using seus/pc companion to repair if u was on stock. if u tried all these and it didnt work then mayb it is a hardware fault and u was right to send it off, but if u didnt u should tried some of the steps but oh well lol. mines jus been sent off cos of faulty usb port

I did everything I could and obviously since even they were not able to find a solution, replacement was needed.

I will go to o2 on Tuesday and ask about it, i seriously dont see how it could be right, since I AM paying for different phone.
I remember how the dude in the store wanted to sell me galaxy s but I specificity got x10.
Hi, in o2's small print it does say they will replace with refurbished or similar spec handset if original is not available.

iam getting an upgrade next week and my htc hd2 is up for sale. it has been setting on my desk for the last 8 months with a broken digitzer. i have an original box and the charger and usb cable. when i turn it on, i can see all the background colours and the menu etc but the touch doesnt work. the phone is unlocked to any sim. i will also supply a prove of purchase and the htc earphones.

this one was an insurance replacement and it was unlocked already so i dunno
My plays flex cable bit the dust a few months ago but now I have successfully brought it back to life and it works just as good as ever!!
Ps. Installing the flex cable is not fun or easy lol for those who want to try. I broke the first flex cable I ordered doing it and had to order a second but now she works great! Prolly keep this as a secondary phone while im still in a rogers contract.

Another flex cable bites the dust. SE really went to town with the cheap components they used.
My PLAY will be out of warranty in about 4 months, thanks to the 2 year warranty in the uk, so I plan on opening and closing it several hundred times until it breaks so I can send it to the service centre to be fitted with a new one.
Its not the quality of the cable thats the problem it rubs against a metal peice everytime u open and close it. All they really had to do was put a plasitic protector over that metal peice lol. The stupid slide thing is riveted shut so I cant really do anything myself just keep throwing cables at it lol only 12 bucks on ebay

They're on ebay all the time. Mine wore out but it was under warranty, they sent me a new phone as a replacement. I had already moved on to a modern Android phone so my brand new PLAY is still in a box. I like to take it out and look at it sometimes.

Mine has never faulted, however I've replaced the cable in my friend's Xperia Play twice already.

Ya I think it happens because the slider gets loose causeing a pull on the cable and it rubs on the metal peices hard

I am wondering if anyone else is having the same issue as I am ?
I purchased the F320k model from Negri Electronics who assured me it would work here in England which judging by the frequencies should.
I received the handset today and when I turn it on I get an error message and also no UK sim will work ? The phone detects networks but said to insert a new SIM. I am thinking I must be doing something wrong surely ?
Any help would be great. I have attached some pics of model and the error message.

First, have you try to go to customer service and return SIM card for newer one?
Yes. I have tried several Sims from various networks and same message. I got another pay and go SIM today and still fail.

Hmm, well I got mine (F320K) from Negri about a week ago.
Because it takes a micro sim (rather than regular size used in my old SII), I got a replacement from my carrier.
Once I installed that and had it registered, all was good.
The contacts on the new sim did look different from the old one, whether that makes any difference I don't know. Certainly didn't get the message you got - perhaps yours was faulty.
Only prob I've got is getting rid of the Korean bloat...

Lol.... How annoying. Glad I sent it back now as Negri have been rubbish. Sent so many emails asking for help and got nothing. It was only when I threatened them with legal action they replied with "we are looking into this issue" by then it was 4 days too late so have sent it back as not happy to deal with them again plus as you said I may have had a dud.
Did you get the carrier splash screen of Olleh on start up ?
