program a

nobody have found a work around the program A problem when upgrading to wm2003 ver 4.16?
What's the program A problem?
the program used for upgrade done through active sync, usually when you upgrade to version 4.11 or 4.16 you'll never be able to upgrade though an RUU instead you'll upgrade through an SD storage card
are you talking about radiostack here ?
no am talking about the rom upgrade software
I think you've identified the workaround - you use an SD card instead of the installer program when the installer program won't work.
I think the SD card method has lesschance of going wrong.
I just read a post where someone's PC rebooted in the middle of his upgrade using the installer. He's hosed. The SD card eliminates this risk.
I upgraded/downgraded my XDA1 about 40 times. I did it twice using programme A method (both official O2 upgrades) and every other time via SD card. I managed to hose the XDA when my PC crashed during activesync upgrade - that's when I swapped to SD card method and never had another problem. At one point I was changing the rom several times a day to try different installed apps.

Installing Tomtom 7 on memory card?

Ok…Basically I had tomtom saved on my phone, reflashed to Touch-IT v8 and decided to install it on my memory card (to make it easier to re-install when I reflash at a later date). However I have noticed when using it that it slightly lags behind where I actually am, by 2s or so. I cant say I noticed this when it was installed on my phone. Has anyone had similar issues?
I have a 16GB Sandisk Class 2 card btw..

Do you have TT7 application, maps or both two installed on your memory card?
I would reccomend installing just the maps on the card and then reinstall TomTom at every flash (it is 25 secs done manually and you can automate it with ROMs that support UC)

Omnia II Androil Froyo 2.2 Beta 3

I have successfully installed Froyo 2.2 Beta 3 (on SD card) and work well. How can I do if I want to change from 2G card to 8G card coz the partition in 2G card cannot be read in PC!
Froyo 3 installation
Hi,
I am trying to install Froyo 2.2 beta 3 from windows with the automatic installer. I am using an 8gb sd card formatted to FAT 32, and followed the directions provided in the zip file. My installation freezes at 'jumping to kernel'. I'm assuming I do not have to partition my card or anything, right? What should I do?
Thanks,
Dia

help
i have tried almost everything to install Froyo beta 3 for Omnia 2 but nothing seems to work.
i reached the point where i see the pink screen but then NOTHING it just freezes.
I tried to install Froyo Beta 3 on my GT i8000.
First problem was that I tried to install, with automatic installation, to My Storage. Resulting in My Storage to disappear. I suppose it has been formatted in 'linux-mode' and so invisible, but I Hard Reset the phone and My Storage is still missing.
Is there anything I can do to have it back?
Anyway I installed a new ROM WM 6.5.3 based (My Storage still missing) and then tried again with Froyo Beta 3 automatic installation using SD card.
Runned androidinstall [ok]
phone rebooted [ok]
entered SD Storage and tried to run Haret, but a GUI asks me the script to use (default.txt), but no scripts are provided in the installation pack...
Back on WM and Kies. Internal Storage (total of 280Mb, 253 available) and External Storage (SD, 4Gb, 3.66 available), My Storage still missing.
Can anyone provide help?
Thx in advance.
Hello,
I installed Froyo beta 3 (on external SD) on my omnia i8000 and it rebooted like the readme file said
The problem is when i run the "HARET.EXE", I get a window where I have to insert a path to run. What should I do?
Thank you.

9500 updated to XXUBMF8, now I can't use MTP with computer??

I got a S4 i-9500 in Taiwan and everything was fine until a couple days ago when it updated the firmware to XXUBMF8.
Now whenever I connect my phone via USB to my windows laptop, the MTP driver fails to load and sometimes makes my sd card unusable so I have to restart it to try again.
I've tried updating the samsung usb drivers for mobile phones but that didn't work. I tried using regedit and looking for the string 'upperfilters' that other guides mentioned but there isn't a string for that on my computer. What else can I do???
EDIT: If I take out the sd card, the MTP driver installs correctly. I remember reading that maybe some files have unrecognized characters or caches in the sd card are messing up the mtp install process.
Anyone else have the problem?
I am also having this prob after the update whenever I try to transfer my stuff from my s4 to pc it fails

anyone else have this problem or some sort of fix?
My sd-card has been reduced to unworkable even just in the phone so I had to take it out.
The phone itself works just fine though...
I had similar problem. I was using Transcend Micro SDXC 64GB. After meddling for several days i found that the card was broken. Same thing happened even after i get card replacement!
Now i'm using SanDisk 64GB and i have better experience with this card.... However i only use this Sandisk card for 5 days... So far so good. Let's see how it goes.
Btw, I'm using XXUBMEA firmware + rooted.

I ended up formatting the sd-card and everything seems fine now when I connect to the computer. It actually recognizes my phone and sd-card but I've lost all my pictures and music which kind of sucks but at least it works now. I hope I don't have to do this each update
edit: NO it can't copy files from my computer. It just freezes in the copying process. What can I do??? Get a new sd card? I've had it for 2.5 years and it worked fine on my htc desire.

Apps can't download data to SD card [no root]

Hi,
I've found threads about fixing the issue on the rooted Note 4.
Any way or workaround to make uTorrent download to SD card without a root?
Or should we wait till this is solved in Android 5.0?
Change the path to the one created by Android once SD card is inserted. Should look something like this
\ext card\Android\data\appfolder.com
Sent from my SM-N910G using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks. It worked.
