Ok, not really new to roms and rooting, I am however new to the rooted streak. But this has got me alittle stumped. Have a rooted streak with some weird info in about phone as in build, model and what not. I have tried to boot into recovery with rom manager and it just reboots. I boot holding vol = & - and get a recovery? with just 4 options, not CWM. Options are like update.zip, factory reset, cant remember the rest. Enlighten me ol' wise STREAKERS!

Rom Manager is not compatible with the Streak. LOTS of posts about that. Did you change the model to use the first Netflix fix?
kraz
Not personally. But the guy I got it from was trying to use netflix. So, I assume it has been changed.

Why does the model say "incredible"?
Either case you have a previously unknown rom.
If you're new to using fastboot you can use multirecovery flasher in the dev subforum to install streakmod if you want to install a custom rom.
Would it be possible if you made a nandroid dump of your rom before doing anything else to it? You may be the first and last person to have that specific rom.
Edit: oh was he messing around with the build.prop to make it work with netflix
Regarding the recovery that you see when holding down volume + and -, that is the stock recovery screen. Which means the original owner did one of two things:
1. Kept the stock recovery (highly unlikely).
2. Installed StreakMod Recovery.
If he installed StreakMod Recovery, select the "upgrade using update.zip" option (option 2) using the camera button and you should see a Dell logo with exclamation point. Following that, StreakMod's menu choices should appear. If they don't, press the power button or camera button once to make them appear. Clockworkmod does not work properly, if at all on the Streak, and thus StreakMod is preferred.

I have just recieved the 303 rom from Bigtoysrock: here's a small history lesson of it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Dell_Streak#Official
It's the oldest release froyo (2.2) rom known for the streak that I have. As I have the largest collection of roms it's prob the oldest release rom known so far.
The oldest common rom used is 305 which is what is loaded with QDL tool.
It was built on October 8, 2010 and as dell starts a new version at x01 (101, 201, 301) it's very close to the first official 2.2 rom released for the streak.
Now that I have 303 i have a much closer estimate of when 301 was built.
AUS_100908_01_boss_evt3_froyo_release (Build 8558): Sept 9 (this was a beta leak)
303 (9939) : Oct 8
305 (10688): Oct 22
301 was prob last week of september or first week of october. All this is only 1 month after the eclair (2.1) builds were released in the UK. It's also about 1 month before the first real build was available to users. (unoficially though 305 by installing with qdl tool or officially with 308/309 built in early november)
If we had gotten this dump as soon as it was made the streak coulda gotten 2.2 though an official build a few months earlier. The first streakdroid builds (0.2 0.3 1.0) were made off of a beta leak and prob not as stable as it could have been if he had something like 303 (i cant be sure though, as I didnt own a streak back then)
On a side note, if you play with the collumns on the wiki, you can notice that some time in september 2010 the dell team was working on 1.6/2.1/2.2 all at the same time. Build numbers usually strongly correlate with it's age unlike the actual version numbers.
And I am running it still with simple streak 1.3 and had run it with streakdroid 1.9.1 no issues.

Hello everyone.
Here you can find the latest (25th of August 2011) stock Android gingerbread release for Samsung Captivate - i897.
It was not tested on i896/i9088 or i9010. If you tested it, please report back.
This package does not contain bootloaders so the risk of bricking your device is very limited (close to zero)
This is Android 2.3.4

How to (semi-dummy proof)
1. Reboot in recovery (check this thread for hints) and perform factory reset by selecting the option circled in red and then confirming the selection.Navigation is done with volume keys.

Hehe, saw the tweet from samfirmware and started working.
oh my cezar we misssss youuuuu
Really nice, i will try it soon.
Could it be that the new continuum be based on kh3? Just curious. As always great work.
I was happier to see a post from Cezar than I was to see the new release
^ Yeah. +1000 to that. We appreciate the Great Devs here !!
I'm currently running Apex 9.1 on i9000 bootloaders with the JV6 i9000 modem. If I were to flash this KH3, would I be able to flash the regular KB2 modem?
so GB bootloaders will no be a problem?, what about SU rights?
Rooted? Or just pure bone stock?
I'll probably flash either way, just curious.
Does this have the AT&T bootscreen at the beginning like the other ones had?

Does this mean that I can flash this from Stock 2.2 with its bootloaders?
^ No... U need the GB Bootloaders to run a Gingerbread Rom.
As far I know, there are i9000 Gingerbread bootloader and Captivate Gingerbread/Froyo bootloader, and those two are not competitive to run others ROM.
so... bootloader free version probably prevents hardbricking cappy (black screen of death, JTAG required) whom coming from i9000 ROM but still makes bootloop or cappy-!-pc screen I guess.
1. i9000 ROM -> bootloader included odin package -> fine
2. i9000 ROM -> bootloader free odin package -> hardbricking
3. i9000 ROM -> bootloader free (this thread) CWM package -> bootloop (guess)
4. Captivate Froyo and Gingerbread ROM -> dose not matter bootloader included or not
Please let me know if I am wrong.

Fugu does not work with mine as my cap reboots many times at lock screen. Need to have the specific one for the rom.
Afther flash the stock, everything run smoothly. Note that you have to very strictly follow the instruction of Cezar at the 1st post otherwise, may be your capt get stuck at ATT screen.
Here I found on a Spain forum two custom roms.
I will explain how to install them and install the custom recovery.
NOT THAT I'M NOT THE AUTOR OF THIS ROMS AND I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSE FOR THE DAMAGE OF YOUR DEVICES
First you need this files:

I notice both these roms the call volume is a fair bit quieter than my original australian version.
Mucked about with audiofilter.csv .... couldn't get it any louder.
Which is a bummer really as everything else is great - I need it fairly loud as I work in a noisy area.
Anyone got any ideas on how to make it as loud as the stock version?

This rom is not that good, it's really buggy, runs slow true the screens, and if you put a custom launcher then its way to buggy.
I'm a to release a rom based on Yoigo original rom with oc kernet that run very fast an stable. IM'm testing it now to see if every thing is working.
The rom will be clena and fast, withe the accent to speed and stability. Ext an swap included. It runs Angry Birs 2 time faster than the iphone 3gs.
will see...
gvpula: it's true.. elitemovil have more bugs.. i tested elitemovil few days and i go back to ZAD 1.5
yes i know i tested it all, for a week each and so far zad is the best,but... The GGR that I'm working on, it will be even better, the ROM will be posted as soon as is properly tested!
Let us know when and where is available so we can test it.

I expect it will be next week!
can't wait 4 it...hope that rom is good and faster...what the maximum number for overclocking 4 this rom?
it has the same OC kernel as the ZAD Rom but it has ext/swap and few other tweaks, must say that Zad did a good work with OC the kernel but has few leaks in the rom itself.

Hello guys,
I have a Motorola Xoom and I can't wait to get ICS. When I browse the ICS topics, I see a lot of people who changed their xoom version to US, fe from Canadian to US. I don't know wich version I have, but it's not a US version, because I still don;t have the upgrade. If someone could maybe give a short description of how to change it to US, I would be so gratefull!!!
These steps worked great for me

Just follow up to step 3 ...then just wait for the OTA updates
My xoom was the UK version... now running the oh so smooth ICS with US rom and lovin it!
Thanks! I only hope this will work for mine, since mine is probably Dutch or European and the description is for UK or Canadion Xooms. But i don't think that should be a proble. Anyway, I'm gonna try and pray that it works!
Got a problem

It works fine. I did it myself a few months ago, flashing my Canadian Xoom with the US ROM, after which I was obtaining the US OTA updates. I don'T remember which procedure I used however, but I can confirm that there's a working procedure somewhere here on the forums.
I got it unlocked and every image would flash ok, apart from system.img. I really don't understand why. I followed the tutorial word for word and obviously I was doing something right or I wouldn't have been able to flash the other images.
In the end I just installed CWM and flashed Team EOS ICS from the recovery.
Worked Great and First Time on my brand new UK Wifi Xoom
Just bought a Wifi only xoom today from carphone warehouse and was a bit dubious about doing this, not wanting to brick my brand new Tablet.
I thought stuff it though, if doesn't work it can go back in the same afternoon that I bought it and I'll get a Refund (was last one in stock, due to them selling them for £249)
Anyway,
Worked a charm once I found the folder where the fast boot was hiding within the zip file.
Took a little while to do, but dead easy
The one thing I did wrong at first was not noticing that each image file had the same filename name written after FLASH and before the filename.img too
(i.e written twice on the command, must be going blind in my old age)
The longest part was going through all the updates on the xoom until finally getting ICS.
Working great now though.
Thanks guys for a great tutorial.
Dean
Are you HK or taiwan version? These problem is almost in these two version.

Were you able to convert yours? I've got a US wifi version, but my dad has a Canadian version and he wants me to convert it to a US version for him.
What happened with the system.img the screen shot seems to suggest it started? Couldn't see any error?
It takes longer to push the system.img over if I recall correctly its a much larger file ...
Edit oh, checked again and saw the fail. Odd. I can probably find and upload the system.img that I used if it would help.

It's a shame OnePlus and Cyanogen part ways, although Cyanogen seems to be the bad guy.. These guy originated from the custom rom community didn't they? When money enters the game...
The proposed Lollipop rom seems mostly vanilla 5.0 (and not 5.0.2), let's hope it's stable and OnePlus doesn't go the Oppo way...
nobody needs cm anyway.
Any new radio or firmware?
I'm sure some will dissect to find out.
To anyone thinking about flashing it
I flashed it and get no data and wont connect to wifi. Also the fastboot has been changed and is chinese now. So for me at least I am unable to use it at all on the 64gb international. Think im gonna push my recovery back onto the phone and go back to CM11s.
Edit: Manually put in APN's for ATT LTE and getting 4g icon but no LTE icon, didnt get GApps installed so dont have speedtest installed to verify speed. Still unable to get Wifi to work. however though which is a must for me.
Gigantic piece of crap ROM. You guys say no one needs CM but ask those lame developers from Oneplus where they got their build tree. They are building Cyanogen almost stock stripping out many features, and worst, the crappy rom messes up twrp and fastboot.
If Cyanogen stops providing support for the OPO the device will turn into crap.
