[Q] Screen protector starting to peel? Help!

Hey all, the screen protector on my N4 is starting to peel off the sides and it's been bothering me quite a bit lately. I tried applying some of the solution (water/soap) on the parts that are peeling but it doesn't seem to work, does anyone have a solution or a good trick?
Screen protector is a BestSkinsEver.
That's the trouble of screen protectors on curved glass.
You may have to contact BSE to see if they recommend anything or if they will send you a replacement.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
no matter what you do it'll eventually always end up that way. some screen protectors specially wet installs stick better than others but for this particular phone you'll eventually run into that problem because of how the glass is curved at the edges so it doesn't get a proper stick.

Issues with Screen Protector

So I just bought the lg g2 for Verizon and absolutely love it! But the screen protector I bought edges up around the border of the front of the phone. Its also much worse when I put this case on which edges it up even further http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00FEQ...ecs_5?pi=SS115
Do you guys know of any quality screen protector that won't edge up even when using the above mentioned case? I'm OK with either a normal screen protector or plexi/ tempered glass as long as its nice.
Thanks a bunch guys!
No suggestions?
Still looking for a solution if anyone can help

Help on case / screen protectors!

Hey all, hope your day is going well.
(sorry for no links, XDA doesnt allow it)
I have bought my S8, I also have bought 2 cases and a screen protector....
The case i am CURRENTLY using Ottobox's Commuter series.
The second case i have is Spigen's slim fit case.
Now... Here is my question and problem, i know nothing much about protection and it seems i can only use a tempered glass protector on the Spigen one... As the Ottobox case doesnt allow it to fit.
Should I use the Spigen Case + Glass together? Or would it be better just to go without the tempered glass and use the Ottobox one.
OR should I get the RhinoShield? Just purchase the back and front tempered glass they provide.
Hey mate, here is my honest opinion.
I bought a Poetic slim case for my S8 and I couldn't be happier. It actually protects the edges cuz of the frame being a bit high. However, I bought a glass screen protector and unfortunately didn't sit flat on the screen. I had to press on hard to get it to work. I ended up taking the screen protector off and let be without it. Now, I'm telling you this because you might face the same issue with screen protector. Somehow these screen protectors aren't quite 100% designed to fit perfectly for these new devices. If I were you I would stick with something that will provide the best protection for you device. I will eventually buy a more rugged case for it, but for now this case it's more than enough. You said you bought a screen protector for the front and back? Let me know how the front glass works for you. If it works fine and it fits properly I might buy one too.
Protect your device mate and take care of it. ? cheers.

Verizon glass screen protector?

Just bought a galaxy s8, was having some problems with it, so verizon sent me a free glass tempered screen protector I just got it in the mail. I have a cheaper plastic one on it now. But I read the reviews that the verizon glass protector isn't really that good. What's your guys opinion? I got it free so value for the money isn't an issue, I just want to make sure it's gonna stay on and not have to put my finger though the screen to get it to work. Thanks guys.

I personally don't like glass screen protectors, but there are many people that do. The reason that I don't is that on screens that are curved, a lot of times the edges start to peel and you see a bubble, which isn't good. Manufactures have tried to make the screen protector a little smaller/narrower, so it stops when the edge starts to curve, but then again, it doesn't look good and I could feel the edge of the glass protector when swiping from the edge and it is annoying (IMO). If I buy a screen protector, I usually get something like Armorsuit military grade screen protector that you apply by spraying a solution and installing it. Gives you room to move the protector around until you find a perfect fit and then squeeze the water out. I don't drop my phones, so never had to test it, but I do see that this screen protector is much better and thicker than a regular thin plastic one.

To those who kept the pre-installed screen protector on. How's it holding up?

Looking to purchase a OP5 here soon. After seeing a few reviews/unboxing videos, I find it pretty great that OnePlus provides a pre-installed screen protector on the OnePlus 5.
While I know it isn't on par with a tempered glass protector, I like the idea of avoiding the hassle of after market protectors and sticking with the pre-installed one. With that in mind I'm curious to hear how the pre-installed protector is holding up for those who opted to keep theirs on.
Thanks for the input!
Had no problems, does what it is supposed to do.
Using a case that closes and covers the screen now but for the 1st week or so I had nothing but the pre-installed protector on which bore the brunt of my keys and other items depositted into my pockets with the Oneplus5..
Don't know about others but it does appear to be a glass screen protector.
It's definitely not glass, that's the first thing. It's fine. Scratched easy, doesn't repair itself. After a few months it'll probably look like a mess but I'm happy it came with one. You can even scratch it with your nail if you feel like trying that out. If it was really great, people wouldn't be trying out all the terrible 3rd party protectors, none of which pass anyone's test so far.
Mine still looks new and holding up well, but the damn thing is a dust magnet. I've never seen anything like it. Got my phone 2 days after launch.
That's what I figured. I know it won't feel as good to the touch as a glass protector but with the new rounded edges that phones have these days, getting a solid glass protector installed with 0 flaws is proving to be impossible. I've experienced this myself with the Pixel. With the S8, I didn't bother with a protector because of how rounded the screen is and the fact that I'm simply leasing it from T-Mobile. However, the S8 already has some nasty scratches in the screen from standard usage. It's brought me to the realization that if I buy another phone outright, a screen protector from day 1 is still a necessity to keep resale value high.
Glad to hear that the pre-applied protector is going to be adequate for at least a few months. I'd rather have to deal with some dust collection and scratches in the protector than scratches on the physical screen on a phone I intend to sell at some point.
The pre-applied screen protector works ok. Obviously not as good as a tgsp but its much better than the bare screen. I left mine on my 1+3 which I had for about 9 months until I sold it to upgrade. Screen was still in excellent condition. Keep it on until when ever a proper tgsp comes out
What brand is tgsp? I just received my rhino shield but haven't installed it yet. The factory one is holding up fine for me. Given, I haven't dropped it yet, so I really can't give an opinion.

What case are you using?
Pre-installed one works fine for me until now.
Tempered glass protectors, those that are available online are really unreliable atm, so unless you want to keep a knife or diamond cutter in your pocket, this protector will do just fine
A few minor scratches appeared on it since now a month I have my OP5 but the original screen protector is holding in place very good.
Only drawback for me, the plastic of this pre-applied protector is a dust and fingerprint magnet (as opposed to the glass screen protectors)

And oh boy will you want resale value to be high. I sold my 3T for $430 (Bought for $479) before I bought the OP5 on launch day. It should keep value quite well as long as it remains in mint or very good condition.
My screen protector bailed ship after 2 weeks, it peeled off on a corner and from there it got worse. I ripped it off and have been happy since although I'm trying to find a good tempered glass replacement. One thing I noticed only after I removed it is how much dust the original protector had on it. It's a pure dust magnet. So that problem is gone too now.
My OP5 factory install screen protector had a small scratch in it within the first week. On my previous screened devices I'd always used these type of protectors (Tech Amour being my preferred brand) compared with the OP5's was very low quality. I'd recommend leaving it on until better protectors become available.
I've replaced my OP5 protector, after several weeks, with the Orzly tempered glass screen protector and followed the application advise from a user who didn't have any of the issues mentioned about that brand. It's been a week since I've applied it and I've not had any of the issues some have had. I'm very happy with the Orzly and am unlikely to go back to a plastic film protector assuming this one lasts as it is now. See the OP5 Accessories threads for your best discussions on the pros and cons of various protector brands.
Very well actually! I'm quite happy with it and will keep it until it breaks or peel off which does not look to be the case anytime soon. Surely, I dislike the fact that fingerprints keeps being present on it but it's something that gets easily wiped off in my pocket or with my shirt. The protector also enables my fingers to glide on it quite well. So, for now, no need for me to buy a Phantom Glass or something like it. \o/
It sticked fine.. No air gaps on corners

I've had the same experience. This is one of the best I've used. The oleophobic layer is great, whenever I pull it out of my pocket it's clear.
All the tgsp I've ever used (except for this brand I cannot remember for my nexus 6p) would have been smudged up and had rainbow glass by now.

Ah! I do remember seeing some glass screen protectors that had a rainbow effect when wearing sunglasses in my car. I don't have that effect on the stock one.
On my OP3 I took the screen protector off after 2 days because it got immensely smudged but on the OP5 which I've had for a month now the screen protector is still on. It seems to be made of a lot better quality so no reason yet to peel it off.

Yeah, with all my previous unlocked phones, I always put a screen protector on the phone immediately after unboxing. Which has allowed me to always sell the phone to cover almost all of the cost of the new one I wanted to purchase. I'll be keeping the pre-applied protector installed on the OnePlus 5 until a solid TG protector is released without issues.
I have absolutely no issue having a scratched up screen protector, knowing that the screen underneath is still perfect.
I left the stock protector on, but it scrathed to he** already. Even though i NEVER put it in the sam epocket as my keys.
Still waiting for a tempered protector that doesnt suck...
