Hello everyone! Just installed Floyo 1.0 and I got the following problem: Got random restarts since 0.25, 0.30 and now on 1.0. I get this even when the phone reboot and asking for PIN, but as I mentonied it's completly random. Also I have problem with Cyanogenmod. The menus in Interface > Status Bar Customization are "grey" (inactive).
I do the following before restoring any of the ROMs mentonied above:
1: Full Wipe
2: Clean Battery Stats
3: Clean Dalvic
4: Restore
Using Baseband xxxx015 and Kernel 2.6.29

I had the same problem. What i recommend is a full phone wipe now to do that you need to install the normal xperia x8 os that 2.1 and than you need to delete everything from the sd card then factory reset in phone then root phone again instal everything that needed (xrecovery etc.) then instal floyo 1.0 after install run Full Wipe ,Clean Battery Stats,Clean Dalvic,Restore and done ..
Good idea for doing this, but I have problem, with reseting to stock ROM. Tried SEUS, PC companion too. And both don't want to repair my phone. It says "There is no new software for your model", WTF?! I click on "repair"
I can't remove ROOT that way etc.
You have to change something, there´s a guide for it.
You whant to remove your root?
normally on the seus it should say somethin along the line of "your phone has the current firmware, do you wis to continue?" with a yes/no option, just click yes, restore your phone, format your memory stick, then download superoneclick from the android dev. forum, your chosen rom (install to /sd card/xrecovery/backup) install root explorer (or equivalent) and use that to install xrecovery then install your custom rom, easy as pie

Do I need to reflash the stock firmware to do the repair with SEUS (or PC Comp). Because now it says "You got the last software for your phone" and it doesn't want to repair

Hello, again. I still got the problem with all Floyo ROMs. The random restarts. I have used kuyaDROID for some time and no restart happened, but it uses too much battery and become laggy at some time. I want Floyo, I like it but I got random restarts. Some times it makes many restarts in a row. Please help!

Did you install a different keyboard?
No.....no install different keyboard......although i factory reset also keep restart the TAB.....
Strange, since an hour or so I have still this message, and keyboard wont work.

After several resets/wipes,cache wipes and internal sdcard formats, I got still that errorrozess com.sec.android.inputmethod.axt9 - force close error.
Finally, I flashed my phone with odin, now everything seem fine...
What could that was? Last thing I did before the errors I change the system-font...
The phone was rooted with z4root, and had a lagfix on it, OCLF app.

oh....if i not mistaken.i also change the system-font.So,do you encounter keep rebooting issue which is same to me?problem solved after re flashing odin?what ROM you are using?mind to share me the link?Mine one is P1000DXJJ1,South east asia file.

first ... if u not 3 button problem...
open recovery mode and factory reset..
open galaxy and speed setting then goto settings learn all firmware and foroyo version .
close phone..
stay phone close..
get www.samfirmware.com and find ur galaxy ( u must see this) firmware and download... ( pass: samfirmware.com)
under download odin 1.3
download ur version pit ..
must installed last KIES on ur windows 7 ( Im made it this)
open odin and chooe correct files ( see below samfirmware page how do it at pdf files)
open galaxy s ( it my phone ) download mode..
if see yellow color "com port sign" upper left on odin then get start..

Changing the system font is what caused the error. If you used absolute system and changed the font, you probably started getting the keyboard error. Try returning to the default font.

I hav just flashed my x8 with minicm6 1.0.0 for x8.
everything works fines and its an awesome ROM.
however, i m not sure wat i have done (to the busybox version update or network connection thingy), after one reboot due to unstable WIFI connection, the phone just could not boot into the system.
it shows the unlock phone main screen with no network service. when i unlock the phone, it appears some error messages like "The process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. please try again", "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly", after force close a few times or leave it alone, it will restart with appearing only the cyanogen logo and repeat the same problem.
i tried to remove the battery and restart to attempt to boot into xrecovery but failed... it will proceed with loading the minicm6 rom and repeat the same error.
HELP.. i dono wat else can i do now..

Yes it is only way I think
once u got it all running the way u want it go to xrecovery, wipe all the caches, then create a backup and store the folder somewhere safe preferably outside ur phone. do not rename the folder it may mess up the checksum

now restoring the data i had.. going to do a total backup after everthing comes back~

The rom inly problem for me just reboot when install some games..other than that it was good
I found a problem in this rom.... With the X8 connected to the PC just to charge (no SD card mounted) and if i go play angry birds the phone wil reboot, tryed inumerous times and rebooted every time. Appens just to me?

I have met this problem since 2 weeks ago when tried to install older cm mod.
And now, it came back when I really want to test c by ratch,or cm6.1 realease :-(
The way I tried to install :
- flash phone with seus
- root phone and install xrecovery (even with the file was posted above)
- factory reset (although wipe dalvik cache,wipe battery stats,step by step)
- Reboot phone...
Then have a trouble with fc :'(
Is there any body can show me if I did something wrong in process ? How can I fix it ?

Tried searching the forum but couldn't find anything similar.
I rooted my ideos x5 with super one click, installed clockwork mod (perfect recovery by genekolar) and then installed genekolar's newest cyanogenmod [unofficial]. Tried installing 2 times with different downloads, wiping everything both times but I get no service or battery status. I checked my sim card, battery, booted the phone multiple times and checked my APN settings, the phone just doesn't find anything.
I would like to have gingerbread on my phone without installing the official one.
I also tried the MIUI rom but it stuck to the booting screen blasting that welcome jingle full volume every 3 seconds.
Any solutions?

This has been written for 1000000 times. You must update to official 2.3.5 if you want to use .35 kernel ROMs. If locked bootloader is what scares you then you dont need to worry because blefish already found a way to unlock it (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1457490). If you still dont want to update to offcial 2.3.5 then you can use .32 kernel ROMs

I'm currently using official operating system that support by Sony Ericsson, which is Gingerbread. The problem that i facing is about GPS. GPS icon still show at the notification bar although i already Turned it Off. i tried to re-format by Update service . i download this software from official website as well.
can i know anyone of it experienced this kind of problem?very annoying, because my battery drain very very fast.

you could unlock the bootloader and install a custom recovery, try wiping everything in the menu like, cache, full wipe.. make sure you sms etc is backed up and see if that helps.. why dont you try a custom android build also, maked this phone a ton better"
turn off 3G if it's not necessaire, in fact, i have the same problem with the baterry when i use stock rom that's why now i have to try many other rom to find the best
Hey guys I'm after bricking my phone. I was installing custom roms and all had the same issue so i'm assuming its my phone and custom roms. I've an Alcatel OT 4010X T pop
I've tried these roms;
Muticon (ICS)
Xperia mod (ICS)
Some original rom by some guy (I taught it was the stock rom ) (Idk os)

Anyways in ALL of these roms I spot the following;
Settings are named cancel;
Always some spanish/brazillian/portugese apps
No keyboard in the launcher
But my main problem
Wont connect to a wifi network, installing keyboard.apks wont work, cant manage applications or go to about phone, in general doesn't allow to go through most settings.
I am prompt'ed with this message whenever I try to open one of these
Select an application for USB device
Application %1$s (In process %2$s)
Even If I install keyboards (swift key APK, ICS keyboard on ICS ) like notes / wifi wont work and manage applications idk why it won't work :/
Any help will be appreciated and before you ask;
the only backup I have is from my phones recovery not CWM recovery;
I can make do with stock rom / any other rom maybe if I can get my problems fixed :i
Super SU is still present if maybe you were going to ask and I can still enter CWM but not my phone recovery
On a final note I have the same identical phone with stock rom, maybe I could "take the stock rom" and install onto my phone?
