I want to know have can i solve my wifi problems without installing new rom on it.
What is the wireless driver, where are they in my system files?
We can fix the camera issues with changing camera lib files. Can i do that for wifi?
Wifi Problem is ;
I can connect wifi, first it was work fine. After several minutes it dropped and not connect any internet, after several seconds it reconnectted. It always keep going this way.
Can you please help me on this?
What ROM version are you running?
B137 stock and modaco.com/content/huawei-u8800-ideos-x5-u8800-modaco-com/342205/23-june-b137-r3-flb-custom-rom-for-the-huawei-u8800-with-online-kitchen/
I have two of them on my clockwork recovery. Both of them have same issue. I want to try other roms, but its too hard for me to give the time for each rom. So i want to try other roms wifi libs, driver, firmwares.
Not a fan of 137s I've tried so far...You should try these versions:
- V100R001C00B136 (Overseas General version) 2011-05-17
- V100R001C17B160CUSTC17D002 (China Unicom) 2011-04-29
http://wiki.modaco.com/index.php/Huawei_Firmware_U8800
To install any of the ROMs, just download the Huawei Firmware you want and unzip it, there should be a folder called "dload" copy that folder and its contents to your sdcard.
Power off phone then hold both volume buttons while powering on the phone, the update should start.
I don't understand why you think it's easier to change a lib/driver and spend a huge amount of time trying to get it to work, when it takes 30 minutes to install a new ROM and all previous applications, if synced with a Google account. When I first got the phone, I've installed like 6-7 ROMs in a matter of hours...
So, in my opinion, you should try the B160 or B136 before you actually start fiddling around with libs.

Are you read my first post ? I Don'T want to try roms. Install new rom, try wifi, over and over. End when find it, wait for the all install downloaded. Chancge launcher and other apps to what you want. It is just boring. I try 4 different froyo roms and nothing seems worked. If i know the what file i must replace, i just have time. Many many more time.

) I've read your post, but if you think this is windows, where you can just change the wifi drivers, you're in for a treat . The newer ROMs wifi is fine, so whatever you're doing, you're obviously not doing it right or you have a faulty phone.

I don't understand a thing from your post. Are you understand me?
IF IS A WINDOWS, I CAN CHANGE DRIVER FROM SYSTEM32/DRIVERS. Or install new driver for it. Newer roms are for WHO ? Mine and other my friends in turkey, have same problem. Even they updated the B137 with updata.app from original sources.
Please if you don't know or understand my post, just leave it to be. Obviosly i can't decribe my problem to you.
The whole windows thing was a comparison...All I was trying to say is that upgrading drivers is NOT EASY, as the problem may not be in the lib file.
You better go and learn some ENGLISH, before you try and understand the answers you're given. ) quote "Are you understand me?"
Very very few people have wifi problems like you are experiencing. This isn't to say it doesn't happen as obviously you are having issues, but it's not a rom issues. It's likely that your problem is either a hardware issue with the phone or an issue with your router settings.
Currently there aren't any alternative wifi libs you can try since all the roms are using exactly the same wifi libs which are located in the kernel image, not the system.
I've been experiencing the same problem -international B136 ROM- however I think it may be the router that is the cause of it. Whilst in the main house with the new wireless g router, no issues, everything works fine. In my extension with the old wireless b router the problem happens all the time.
The problem doesn't really bother me to much, but I thought I'd add my 2 cents just in case you were after some more information on the issue =)

Definitely, if you've got something like B133, the first thing you have to do is upgrade to 136-137 or 160. You will see huge improvements in terms of Wifi.
is there any problem in b136 or b160? Which one should i apply?
In my view, the best of stock ROMs is B160. The battery lasts longer and it's got less problems.
how can i see my rom version? and do u send offical b160's link?
Go to Settings >>About Phone and scroll down to Build Number. It should look like this U8800V100R001C00B133SP01 and the bit that interests you is B133 or whatever version you've got.
Since Modaco Wiki is down, try this link:

B160 is called China Unicom in that list.
I've managed to get a cached version of Modaco Wiki that is currently down.

Okay I have a really dumb question probably but I have a completely "stock" HTC Tilt 2 for AT&T. I have only downloaded the .NET 3.5, SciLor's GrooveMobile, and nothing else but a couple of themes from this website. I have heard about ROM flashing. I am a 16 year old kid who needed a new phone and wanted to be different from everyone and got the Tilt 2. I hate the freezing of my phone after Opera Internet usage. I hate the stupid touchflo 3D. Great idea and all but just annoying. I want a new layout overall though. I looked at the Leo ROM and I like that one. I just need an experts advice. I want to do this and be able to download most of the apps from my phone. I have internet access but it is limited due to the family. I like the Standard Reference Leo ROM interface. I want to know if I should do it......I mean will it screw me over huge or will it be a huge advantage? If someone could answer this cry for help ASAP it would be awesome!
thanks
Ok overall I just want to know if flashing the ROM of my Tilt 2 to a Leo ROM, is a good idea. Just that nothing else unless you can give me some instruction. That would be awesome but just a reply to the main question would be fine. Thank you.
Link the ROM you are talking about.
The stock Tilt2 ROM sucks big time. Almost any ROM on here will be faster, more stable, and more functional. If you don't like TouchFlo3D, just turn it off.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=591784
You have to add the http. Thats the link. You might have to copy and paste because I cannot due to the restriction by the site. I guess I have not been verified?
That ROM is for a different phone, the HTC HD2. You need to flash a ROM for the Rhodium/Touch Pro 2/Tilt2, or it won't work right (or might even brick your phone).
The ROMs you want are here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=490
And the Energy ROM (similar to the one you linked, but for the right phone) is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562773
Okay thanks. Yeah I was on my phone and was reading this guideline that instructed how to flash the tilt 2 into the "cadillac of tilts" I dont know if this guy is legit... But if its not a big deal, what do you think I should do? And can I still change the themes or wallpapers or will I have to reflash again? Also do you know how long it takes to flash a phone?

Not sure what a "cadilac of tilts" is tbh but follow this guide and you will be fine.
HOW TO FLASH A GSM ROM
Im not sure either his link is
tilt2.blownfuze.org
Energy ROM is what I use. Its faster, smoother, more stable than the (terrible) stock ATT ROM. Its not as lightweight (heavier on program memory usage) than some others. But I personally like the aesthetics and functionality.
I'm not sure if the reference version is right for you, if you don't like TouchFLO3D. The Energy reference version includes Sense 2.5, which is the updated version fo the TF3D interface. Although, everything runs faster and smoother on the Energy ROM versus stock, so you might find Sense more enjoyable without all the lag of the ATT ROM.
You might check out the Titanium version if you don't want TF3D/Sense.
Flashing a custom ROM is relatively easy. But be sure to read as much as you can before you start. These are a must read:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550131
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550540
And Task29 is optional, but highly recommended:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=649191
If you do the reading, and follow the instructions carefully, you will be fine. HardSPL only takes a couple minutes, and flashing the ROM itself takes a few minutes. It takes some time (few minutes) for your phone to reboot after you flash. Add in time to get the phone configured the way you like, reload the apps, etc., then the entire process may take you an hour or so. Maybe a bit more the first time, since you want to make sure you're doing it all correctly.
But trust me, its worth the time and effort.

You can change the wallpaper all you want. In fact its easier on the Energy ROM than stock (and more options). The ROM also comes with a variety of themes to choose from. Or you can change the theme with some of the cabs available on this website.
Keep in mind that flashing a custom ROM will delete all your data. So you will need to synch, backup your contacts, etc. (several different options for this). You are basically starting from scratch, except better.
One thing I have notice, the latest version of the Energy ROM (Sept. 29) seems to have more bugs than usual, due to his updating Cookies Home Tab from 1.5 to the 2.0 beta. Nothing that seems like a real dealbreaker, but some annoying things (like the album art on the music player showing the previous - not currrent - song played).
You may/may not want to hold off a bit to see if these kinks get worked out. NRG updates often (usually every 5-7 days). So some of these things might be fixed soon. In fact, it looks like new ROMs will be uploaded soon, maybe today. Read the last few pages of the Energy ROM thread for more details.
That said, even with a few bugs, the Energy ROM would still be a big improvement over the stock ROM. It fixes so many things, so much faster, and more functinal, that its still a net improvement by a long shot.
Yeah well thats alot of the information I was looking for so thank you! My next question is do I need to remove the memory card and sim card when I do this? also is this safe for my computer?
As you'll see in the n00b instructions, its advised to remove both the SIM and the SD card to avoid them from becoming formatted or otherwise damaged during the process.
And yes, its completely safe for your desktop computer.
ok so i did the hard spl and it worked i think it was just like a hard reset without deleting apps and messages but when i went to download the new rom to my computer hotfile was annoying and it came up as an unknown file type and i couldnt find it after i downloaded it could someone walk me through or help me! plllllleeeeeeeeeeeez
No, HardSPL is nothing like a hard reset. SPL only allows "official" ROMs released by your cell carrier to be flashed. HardSPL unlocks the SPL so you can flash any ROM.
What browser are you using to download the files? Depending on your browser, and how its defaulted, the files should be at My Documents\Downloads, or can be somewhere else altogether.
The files are zipped using a compression called 7zip, so you need to unpack them using the 7zip program. For some reason, the latest Energy files seem to only be unpackable with the latest 7zip version (I think the 9.17 beta, see link below), which has not been the case in the past. I've been able to unpack lots of previous builds using more common unzip programs like Winzip or WinRAR (which may or may not already be on your computer). I haven't personally downloaded or flashed the latest Energy ROM, but if you search the Energy ROM, there is a good amount of discussion on this issue.
http://www.7-zip.org/
ok so what your saying is i judt have to download the 7 zipbfolder and then it will work?
Yes, download the 7zip application (get the 9.17 beta .exe) and install it. Then it should unpack the archive automatically when you click on the .7z file.
Ok I downloaded the 7zip and tried to download the standard reference rom and it still said it was unknown. I installed 7zip. Do I need to save the rom to a certain folder or what?
Were you sure to get the latest 7zip version, the 9.17 beta?
Is the 7zip program giving you the error message, or Windows? If its just Windows telling you the file type is unknown, then right mouse click on the ROM file, and select "Open With", scroll down to "Choose Program" (if 7zip is not already given as an option) and choose 7zip.
You can also right click on the file, choose "Properties", under where it says "Opens with", click the "Change" button, and choose 7zip from there.
Hey guys,
First and foremost, I would like to say I have no idea about anything, and everything on this website is in a foreign language to me (can't understand anything), so please bear with me. I set up a new thread because after reading everything, I still don't get anything (being a noob).
I just signed up with vodaphone in australia to get a HTC Legend (my first android and smart phone after using n73 for the last 3years). Everything is going fine until I wanted to get apps from the android market. I didnt have a gmail account, so I signed up for one through my computer. However, when i tried signing in through the phone google account set-up wizard, after waiting 5mins for the phone to communicate with google servers, it fails and the phone would not let me, citing that it cant establish a reliable data connection to the server, being a temporary problem (Tried it with both 3G and wi-fi, also with 2 other friend's log-in). Any help on this would be good. Also, with HTC sync 3.0, I was unable to sync and backup all my sms for a factory reset. Is there any other ways to do this without the apps? Additionally, I cannot update my software to Froyo (Firmware 2.2) FOTA or finding a download for it onto my comp as the phone says my software is up-to-date (But HTC Australia shows that there is an update for Software 2.2 FOTA).
Alright, I know what goes through your mind, get the apps to do that, but without the sign-up for gmail settings, I cant access Market, cant download apps, basically cant do anything (and mind you, I dont know about programming or xda or anything of that sort to check the shell script or whatever that goes on in the forum).
I've went around looking for answers but never really got a definition, mostly about how-to's which I am not interested as I have no idea what they are.
What is flashing?
What is rooting?
What is un-branded or Vodaphone branded (in my case, if it makes sense)?
What is a goldcard and what's it for?
Is RUU or custom rom or rom the same thing? does that have to do with my firmware? and what is it?
What's with downgrading and upgrading for other stuff (to versions 1.1/1.3)?
What is Clockwork and Fastmode and all those other stuff?
What's the latest firmware/software for Legend (2.2 or 3.0) as I have read threads with firmware 1.3 or 3.3 (or something of that sort)?
I know I AM the biggest noob you guys will ever find. Seriously, no websites actually explain all these stuff, and I'm getting paranoid over using an android phone. I know you guys might just tell me to get a simpler phone, but I upgraded to an android to know more about it.
Thanks in advance guys, if any help can be provided. I have a cool phone, but I wanna use it fully.

William

You are correct, I have said about apps. If you temproot using visionary you can install Titanium backup which can backup everything. Both of these are available for "sideloading". Without a file manager on your phone I can't think of an easy way to install them. What I'd do is go to the settings, make sure USB debuging is on (Settings --> applications --> development) and then use adb to install it:
Code:
adb devices
adb install Visionary.apk
adb install Titanium-Backup.apk
This is assuming that you rename the files to Visionary and Titanium-Backup, and have them in the same directory as ADB. For an easy installation of ADB do this:
Download this file and unzip it to C:\Android\ADB\
Open cmd (start orb/button, type "cmd" and hit enter)
In cmd do this:
Code:
cd C:\Android\ADB
Now you can use the adb command listed above. If you have the apk files in the same folder you can pretty much copy-paste those commands

Flashing is the process of writing a new operating system to NAND (internal) memory, otherwise known as flash memory
Rooting is like gaining administrator rights on a Windows PC. On Unix-like systems (Android, Linux, OSX) this is known as the root account, hence "rooting"
Vodafone branded means that Vodafone has it's logos and apps on there. Think of the ROM on your phone as a custom ROM, made by Vodafone. You need to wait for Vodafone to update it. Un-branded simply mean that all of that is gone, it's like having the ROM that HTC meant for it. So we only need to wait for HTC to update it
A goldcard is an SD card that has been specially prepared for making the phone think it's CID is different. I don't fully understand how it works, all we need to know is that it does, and that we need one for rooting
ROM and firmware are the same thing RUU is "ROM Upgrade Utility". It's a method made by HTC for upgrading the phones firmware. A custom ROM is simply a ROM that's been customised. It may be based on the official ROM from HTC, or the open source version of Android
ClockworkMOD is an open source recovery image. It allows us to do full backups of the NAND memory (nandroid backup), as well as easily installing new ROMs/updates. These come in zip files Fastboot is a way to test stuff quickly. It allows you to flash certain parts of a ROM without the need to flash the whole thing, as well as boot from a kernel that isn't flahed to the device. It's a dev thing
The latest version of Android for the Legend (officially) is 2.2. HTC firmwares follow a different numbering scheme. HTC ROMs v. 1.x and 2.x are based on Android 2.1, and v. 3.x is based on 2.2

Hello her last day i got a new legend and it was black and it looks like my old htc hero
Ok the installation is very complicated (and probably will not work in a 2.2 phone but let's test anyway)
Do NOT try this if you're not experienced enough, if this works somebody else might prepare an easier update.zip file. I am not responsible for anything, this might set your phone into a bootloop, in that case you have to be smart enough to be able to remove the libs and apks you installed.
Download flashupdate.zip from the attachments.
Copy the folders from the zip file to your OO:s /system directory.
Then take the FlashPlugin.apk file from the zip file and place it onto your sd card.
Reboot your phone
Install the FlashPlayer.apk from the sd card, select replace application.
(You need to have a checkmark in install from unknown sources in the settings)
Reboot your phone.
The flash lite should be working in the default android browser (no opera),
check from the browser settings if plugins are enabled, try this site:
w ww .whatismyflash.co m
Write here what version number the site reports, if any.
These libraries were taken from the Samsung i5800, which has an armv6 processor and launched with Android 2.1, this is not dependant on htc frameworks like the flash lite on the legend and hero.
(and probably will not work in a 2.2 phone but let's test anyway)

forgive me for asking, but how come this is inside a Froyo discussion?
I tried this method a long time ago and it didn't work. maybe it only works with the 2.1 browser.
I said probably, i just wanted to test the possibility, I don't own an optimus so i had no idea if it would work. It seems this is not possible, thanks for the replies.
Test with Optimus One with Prime v2.
Installer ok, browser don't crash but drill no flash...
I bet you also have to tell the browser that flash lite exists. IMO flash lite just sits there waiting to be called to work.
Actually it does. If you don't believe me, install Adobe Flash 10.1. Every time you visit a site containing flash the browser will exit (NOT force close).
This works similarly.
I saw someone say on the dev category that flash works with dolphin hd. Check the thread where they're talking about gingerbread
maybe flash works in gingerbread with dolphin i can prove that flash dosent work on dolphin on 2.2
but what i can say is that i can install flash on cm7 but it dosent work on the browser i did try alot flash movies but no one worked.
I tried CM7 too but I can't really test flash since I can't seem to get an IP address from our router, and the network I'm on does not have 3G or even GPRS
As soon as the dhcp issue is resolved, I'll test it out and report.
The only way to install flash on optimus one now is by installing the Eclair browser. anyone can do this? or port Eclair to our phones. Hahaha.
isn' that kinda like going backwards?
yes but it's good in a way that we get flash lite 3.1
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile/how-to-install-flash-10-1-on-android-2-1-eclair-devices/
that maybe a solution for our phone to install 10.1 flash on our phone
I'm going to try again with mik_os' CM7 port. I've been reading reports of flash working If it doesn't, I'm flashing back to my old ROM until GPS is fixed
nope flash dosent work on gingerbread.
i did try it now for a multipletimes.
I've found something on the market called "MobileFlash". However, I don't think it installs a plugin on the browser. Go check it out

Hey all,
I'm usually pretty good at figuring these types of things out, but unfortunately I haven't been able to figure this one out yet.
Wifi works fine in WinMo 6.5 and WinPhone 7. I haven't tried SD version of Android, but I'd rather not go that route as I want to be able to use a fully functioning NAND version of Android.
I have done Task29/wipe data/cache/dalvik cache on many occasions, repartitioned, reinstalled WinMo 6.5 and then started over with MAGLDR (latest version), replaced wifi module libraries, but nothing has proven to work. Everything else is perfect, though.
Somebody has to have experienced this before? I couldn't find much in terms of a solution by searching.
Thanks!
What HD2 Radio version are you using?
What Android ROM are you using?
Have you made sure that it is a MAGLDR version you are trying to install, not the cLK version?
Why would you need to replace the WiFi module librarys as your ROM should work without error after installation?
A bit more info and we should be able to sort this one out!

Hey. Thanks for joining!
- Radio 2.15.50.14 and one of the older ones which was installed when I picked up this phone
- Roms:
NDT MIUI Froyo V6.2 currently.
Tried [CWR] BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA_GINGER 2.3.4-Sense.s V29 (12.Jun), CMYLXGO's Stock Desire HD(2) NAND ROM v1.1.17 and a few others i can't remember. All MAG versions.
I tried replacing the libs, because i've read that as part of a fix for related wifi problems from earlier this year.
Thanks!

You have the most common Radio 2.15.50.14 so that isn't the problem.
The fix is mainly for cLK versions so it could use the PPP interface but if you are using MAGLDR then that isn't needed - this alone could be your problem, I reccomend not installing this patch any more?!
I play with roms a lot and normally my errors are due to using a kernel which the rom wasn't developed for - or more recently, frequent drops to the internet.
When my drops happened, I had done nothing different but it seems that a change in CM7 source now addressed my routers security settings differently - I have no idea when it was added and I was lucky enough to find a firmware update for my router which solved the problem.
Out of interest, when you click on wifi, does it say error or does it try to connect and randomly drop? Error would indicate a kernel/radio/hardware problem and dropping or not connecting would possibly indicate router problem.
Possibly, one of the best places to start is the security settings of your router, disable all security and see if it will connect... if it does then apply security - I use WPA2 PSK TKIP and it now works for me!
NDT MIUI Froyo V6.2 & CMYLXGO's Stock Desire HD are quite old (In terms of development), BOYPPC-SHIFTPDA_GINGER 2.3.4-Sense.s V29 is new and updated frequently so i'm unsure why all would have the same problem?!?!.
You could also try my rom located in my signature "HardDroid2" as I have extensively tested this and have no problems (Not trying to punt my rom at all!).
If changing your router settings or no other roms work then it is beyond me as there are only a few combinations af possible hardware/software faults!
Hope this helps
Already installed Is the phone supposed to boot in Airplane mode enabled for the first boot?
Ok, unfortunately the same issue with WiFi. What happens when i turn wifi on is it takes about 15 seconds for the check to appear in the box, then it stays on for about 15 more seconds with no networks showing, then it turns off automatically. The same thing with every rom I've tried, unless I start messing with libs or conf files at which point I get "error" or it doesn't turn on at all.
Thanks!

Ummmm... NOPE!
I think your problem is with your radio rom. I would reccomend starting from scratch!
This is what I do and it works fine for me:
Prep SD Card: Format FAT32 and also create a 1GB Ext3 Partition (For apps2SD if needed)
Copy the rom update.zip to FAT32 partition of SD Card & Insert into phone.
Run HSPL3_PKG.exe and install HSPL 2.08
Flash Radio_Leo_2.15.50.14
Run Task 29 - wipe phone
Install MAGLDR 1.1.3
start device (Hold down power button until menu list appears) choose USB Flasher
Install Recovery 150MB System/5MB Cache (ClockworkMod Recovery v4.0.0.0)
Start MAGLDR (Hold down power button until menu list appears) Select "AD Recovery"
Boot ClockworkMod and install update.zip from SD Card.
I'm not trying to teach you how to suck eggs... but maybe there is a little step you may of missed?!?!?

I would reccomend re-downloading the files, especially the radio rom as I have a feeling it may be corrupted - don't know why it would work on WP7 though??
Use the HSPL3_PKG.exe to install HSLP 2.08 as it is regarded as the best.
I use Loader 2.10 KSubedi (MAGLDR 1.1.3 Debranded) just for asthetic reasons.
We will get there!!! lol
Same deal, unfortunately. I've noticed that the mac address is "unavailable" at all times, including the 10 secs the wifi is actually on (according to the switch)

Did you re-download the radio from here?: http://www.multiupload.com/QP0IWGY42F
I don't understand why your wifi works under wm6.5 (which installs during flashing rom) & WP7 (which runs the same way as android nand) but not under android... I would of classed it as a corrupted file and im completely at a loss!!!!
It can't be a hardware fault and there isn't any differences in earlier/later versions of the HD2's wifi module!!!
OK, I admit it.... I'm stumped!

If you install the latest rom and then task 29, you still have the radio version which installed with the rom as task 29 doesn't touch that section!
I remember a couple of years ago when I changed the wifi module on a PSP that it no longer held a mac address when using original Sony firmware... has your device been in for repair?
Just a thought really, i'm grabbing at straws since it really doesn't make sense to me!

I'm not sure about its history as I bought it used. Tomorrow is another day with more opportunities to resolve this issue.
Nothing changed by me installing a stock T-mobile WinMo 6.5 then going through the process of converting to NAND android. I found out that I'm not able to save a manual Wi-Fi network entry. Maybe this is a clue for the problem?
Thanks!

Well looking into the kernel, it seems that it will create a custom MAC address for each device to get past the 00:11:22:33:44:55 issue (I don't know what variables it would use to create this but possibly imei???)
There are no really adjustable settings in wpa_supplicant.conf which would help (As far as I can see)
Since you aren't showing a MAC address, it would indicate a problem with your hardware (as no other device has this problem) But why Windows roms would still work is beyond me and the only change in hardware revisions over the life of the HD2 has been to the lcd screen and not the radio hardware.
I have searched and tried to find more information on this but i'm unable to find a conclusive answer or solution
Here is a thought: Download the files which I use from here: http://www.andbuddy.com/files/FOBBu1308083933.html
This contains all the files which I use and a small guide - Please follow ALL the steps as this has given me a 100% working device!
If it still doesn't work after this then I will have to admit that i'm beaten

I'm suspecting that the actual wifi related hardware is damaged somewhere, maybe the coaxial cable, at least in my phone.
Do you try solution : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=827521
i try but i can't do step 6 :
"6. Go to menu Device -> File Explorer. New window will come up."
it not show file
- I Think problem relate with hardware because with the same Room , same Radio , same Wif network other device ok but of me false

Need HELP @ Note 3 ( SM-N9002 / SM-N9009 ) SIM2 Call Audio/Mic Routing & MagMa-NX ROM
Got my hands on this one beautiful piece of Samsung Galaxy Note3 SM-N9002 Dual-Sim, and it had this odd version of Chinese samsung rom on it, as it comes from factory, half apps installed that comes with it was in Chinese and had no play store etc and was on 4.xx android, so I went and did my research, found working TWRP, managed to install it OK, then tried few beautiful ROM versions and found MagMa-NX (note7 ported ROM) works wonderfully well, zero crashes etc etc and it also has kernel support for SM-N9002 during installation which I chose to use, all features work 100% and everything works ok, all but SIM#2 call audio.
I mean, I have signal on both sim cards simultaneously OK, I can make and receive calls and all would seem ok, but when dialed to or from SIM#2 there is no audio coming out from earpiece or loudspeaker and mic dont seem to activate as even if I try to record call which feels like muted for both caller and receiver ends, call audio recorder while recording does not pick up any sound trough phone microphones, so I think its something to do with settings in some file not done right or else I dont know what I could be doing wrong.
both sim cards worked 100% ok before ROM flash, but now I'm lost because I cant even flash back to old stock rom, and yes I have gathered original android 4.xx rom but it fails flashing via ODIN every time, so my best bet is on doing some DIY on current MagMa-NX note7 port rom... I wonder if there are any fellows who I could buy the paypal-beer for great help sorting me out on this DIY project? Please PM me or post here if you feel like you could collaborate in resolving this dilemma for me... would highly appreciate folks
I will keep an eye out
I think I figured something. Everytime I attempt to make a phone call on this, I get to choose from which sim card should I dial, #1 or #2 , but what I have noticed now is that I am being asked "SIM1" or "Slot2" ... SLOT 2 I thought? That may be the reason that audio routing doesnt work well for this... tried searching build.prop but this string is not there and I just dont know where to search for this string to get this fixed, anybody can chime in?
Thanks
Did you figure it out ? As i have the same problem with the same rom in addition that when i call anyone and he is on a call i don't get notified with " call waiting

Which CSC did you choose?
I did not figure anything out guys... as I was trying to get this working, I tried every CSC option possible... none worked. Which should have been the one that's working for this models?
in fact Im thinking of selling this beauty of note3, its almost new... in case someone interested I have it... because I would love note7 port rom on this, and nothing else... PS I could live with it being just single-sim option, it works but not perfect as sim #2 is useless then... signal there and texts only works for it as described above...
at the moment its on stock adroid 5.0 and its all 100% ok and fine, flawless, but its boring!

Well, i know that mixer paths are different on single sim and dual sim phones.
Can you extract from stock rom the file "/system/etc/mixer_paths.xml" and overwrite the one in custom rom ?
I think I tried something similar if not exact with no success .. let me repeat the process just in case...
PS also, I will try and dump both versions of these files. Is there anything else I may need to dump from stock rom 5.0 rom?

There are some specific binaries and libs, but i'm pretty sure magma rom already inject them during flash when you select n9002 as variant.
Dumping the CSC folder is a good idea too.

Path : /system/csc
Indeed, conflits may happen. But just dump it and let we examine it.
Ok here is what I managed to try, I backed up stock rom android 5.0 all working state mixer files from etc dir, then flashed magma rom again, backed up those same files for restoration to working state, replaced files with ones extracted while on 5.0 stock android, reboot device, no sound whatsoever, phone wont even buzz keypad dialtones or connect dial phonecalls just hangs. So I went and restored back original magmanx rom mixer files, reboot, but still no success... so now I have just finished restoring 5.0 again, will dump csc folder and share with you. will also need to charge my battery a bit because @ 30% cant expect much to happen when flashing magma nx...
Thanks for the help amigo!!!
Alright, tried merging csc from 5.0 to magmanx 6.0, no luck. then tried after this to merge mixer file from 5.0 to magmanx 6.0 , no luck, back at square1....

Did you checked correct permissions before reboot ?
I'm afraid the problem is deeper than mixer paths.
I'll try to digg more.
I enable root explorer in third party file manage, grant permission, copy file from sd card to system/etc, prompt to overwrite -grant, overwrite complete, power off phone from power-button menu, power on, done. is this bad/incorrect procedure? magmanx has root from stock, when I navigate root dir I get access grant prompt, I grant it and then I can modify whatever.
please let me know what else I could do? maybe there are specific files I could look in to dump out of working 5.0 rom? Thanks!
or maybe just directory content filenames that could/would make sense by their name etc?
its weird, I think its something to do with the kernel itself... maybe Im wrong, but I dont think 9002/9008 kernels were ever made properly to be tested thus the errors... I cant even find any other kernels for 9002 other than included in magmanx and it aint working well anyway

The file "mixer_paths.xml" must have permission set to 0644 (like other files in /system/etc directory).
And try darklord Kernel.
6044 is as per read/write permissions for user enabled, as per this link http://permissions-calculator.org/decode/0644/ , I assume these permissions will auto set after moving replacing file do they not?
Where do I obtain the darklord kernel? I was pretty sure it comes with it... let me re-do the rom and take some snips as I go

Sorry i just noticed you already have darklord kernel.
And set permission like other files in this directory (if not already done by your file manager).
