You should always disable voodoo lag-fix. That's a given. Second of all, I can last about 7 hrs without battery kernal. So once I start configuring everything I will have a better view on that.
If ffc works right out the box ...il be very happy =]

Helo mate. I will move this thread to dev once you have your ROM ready for release.

I'm confused. A screenshot that shows nothing? What have you done to edt's base to make it different? Not trying to sound rude, but all that I see is a dock and icons.

If it was rude, it was because I was honest and asked for clarification. I welcome all, but if it's a new rom coming, would be cool to know what was done to tweak edt's base.
Also, this was posted multiple times which breaks xda rules, just saying.
this sounds like a great rom , even though i dont use 2.2 roms anymore i use 2.3 most of the time i woudnt mind going backwards to try this out
looks great! keep up the good work

what would you guys say on macnut or axura? within smoothness? speed? stability? and so on...
I have used macnut, and that rom is great and comes with alot of features. But currently I am using axura and I really feel it has breathed new life into my phone. Try them both, but for smoothness and stability I wud choose axura.

Hey Master, since you are a developer can you answer question I've asked many times but still no answer.
How does one backup their stock kernel and radio/modem.
For example if I flash your Axura ROM, and I decide I want to go completely back to stock 2.1, I can use Nandroid for my ROM right? What about backing up and restoring my stock kernel, radio/modem etc?
thanks!
Axura all the way!

Well you can always do the easiest way, and take a look at what modem & kernel you are using in the settings.. E.g, JI2 Modem = JI2 Kernel
I think TeamWhiskey has a few d/ls with Kernels && Modem packages on there site.
So if there is another way of doing it, then I don't really know.
thanks for the posts guys.. just wanted some advice on the better rom.. I AM currently using axura right now with voodoo and a 1.3ghz OC.. wanting oclf more tho.. but I guess u just gotta get lucky to use oclf on this rom because I have tried installing oclf on my rom 4 or 5 times and it bricks it everytime.. so just gotta deal with voodoo...

Hello
I recently switched form cm7 to miui and i gotta say im impressed it is so smooth and beautiful!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_bBYAGYFls
Thanks s15274n!!!
i need 2 questions answered before is switch..
1) How's battery life so far?
2) what DOESN'T work...
bcz cm7 is pissing me off with me getting 7 hours of battery.
P.S. can i use launcherpro or something like that instead of the launcher you have there?
and there's a OFFICIAL miui comming too
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013370
Battery life is like a bit better than cm7 about 3 more hours.
Everything that doesn't work in cm7
It has been supported officially already where have you been lol
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Yeah i trust ya, i just flashed MIUI preview
and the MIUI preview is not "official"
If you go to the link i sent you to, then it leads to the miui forum...
they say their making a 100% official for t959.
the miui we're using right now is a port from the miui9000 forum, thats why not everything works
OOOPs just saw the "based on i9000 miui" and yes it is now since it's on their list of supported devices! Awesome! maybe we wont have to flash using these complicated steps?
yeah we won't currently the dev who ported it removed the kernel that comes with it when you flash it and thats why he told us to flash the cm7 kernel... so it'd work with 2.3.3
Thanks for the suggestion, i love it so far. restoring apps.
Any tips since this is my first time using it? any tips to make it faster? (is it even possible? lol its so fast) or any UI tweaks etc? im not used to the new settings app unfortunately lol.
Mmm I ocd it to 1.3 and used automem killer to strict. It is a little confusing lol xD

having dug through the system dump...theres a lot of similarities to the 2.3 leaked roms for the i9000...and really besides a hybrid gb/tw theme and merging dialer and contacts back into 1 apk...theres a not a lot of changes really (on the surface at least)
the livewallpapers are kinda cool and available in android apps/themes i think here on xda

its not that simple...its a gingerbread based gsm rom...you cant just add apks without heavily modifiying them or backporting them....will some just work right away? sure...like livewallpapers maybe the file manager
but its not as simple as just unzipping the system dump, taking what you want, and putting them on a fascinate rom

Since we're on the topic of comparing KH3 and JVS, in terms of stability what's better?

Sooo I'm really confused.
Is the tweet from today by MongooseHelix a new fix? Cause the tweet links to something from 2 weeks ago.
Is the fix in that tweet already included in this Alpha ROM? Or is the fix something you need to manually flash afterwards?
The fix is in the alpha, he was just showing other devs I assume. Evervolv is my favorite rom, it just lacks a lot of the features of aokp

I experimented with a red one and a green one but they were for Evervolv p12... Looked good but needed a little tweaking (more xml edits, some pngs weird due to batch processing) and now it needs updating to 2.2.
I have a new daily phone but will still theme/mod the Inc so should have a few different colors eventually...
Thanks for the input, my motivation is directly related to demand.
Damn I would love to use the theme looks real good and I had my cm7 set like that. I am using aokp for the time being but generally run evervolv. I'll probably switch back whenever alpha 2 comes along, hopefully you will update the theme for it!
