Update it to the latest Android 3.1 (8.4.4.11) make sure there are no flaws. Then proceed to root using NVFlash/whatever method you want

Hmm, when did you get the shift? I remember I got mine about 2 months after the initial release and well you thinks it's bad now...you should of seen it then. And because of that I think it makes me more greatfull that we have all the roms that we do now. For a small community this phone has gotten a lot of support!
