Im running CM7 by Endless, 11102011 build and adobe flash player won't run. Im using Opera Mobile. Are there any other settings i have to turn it on or is there only the one under Opera settings.
br Zola
And on other CM's/stock froyo fash worked in opera?
Can't remember if it was working on stock Froyo, but on my last installed nightly build and one before it didn't. I'll try with a different browser to see if it's a Opera problem.

Stock browser should have working flash.
Mine has.
Hey all!
I am a Motorola Defy (Red Lensed) user, and have CM7.1 (Quarx 11-11-11 build).
I want to have H/w accelerated multi format (preferably DIVX / XVID, MP4s, 3GPs and if possible MKVs) video playback like the stock Froyo ROM in the default video player.
I searched on the internet a bit and found some info that Google has kicked Opencore in the butt since Froyo and absolutely removed it and any traces of it from Gingerbread onwards in favor of Stagefright.
I have two choices now:
a) Try to port or copy over Opencore (which Moto has put in stock ROM) into CM7
b) Try to make Stagefright give me H/w accelerated video playback.
I have the files from Stock ROM (CG39) and seem to have identified some Opencore files.
Could someone please help me out with either of the above ways?
Could you also please suggest which method to follow out of the above stepwise including the required files to be moved from stock Froyo ROM to CM7?
Thanks!
Seeing as no one has replied, and also I need to fix my screwed up CM7.1 installation, I have some room for experimentation.
This weekend, I plan to copy over files from the stock froyo sbf over to my cm7.1 live system and see if I can get opencore working in cm7.1
If it works properly, after reinstalling my cm7.1 from scratch, I will probably put opencore back in it.
The reason being quite simple: Opencore; though dated, is like the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack of Android in that it can play most common popular formats smoothly (and am guessing with hardware acceleration). Had this experience in my stock ROM so it has to be true!
Lets see, will post back here with results if any!
Hi All,
I'm running Team Nyx ICS RC5 on my SGS i9000 and I have flashed different Froyo and GB roms before.
I can't seem to play video's on my current set-up. Youtube (latest version from playstore and earlier version as apk) and the plain'ol videoplayer both won't play anything.
I remember reading somewhere about an issue with video playback on SGS with ICS but I can't seem to find it now (and yes, I did search!).
Is there still an issue playing video's?
I'd appreciate if someone can guide me to the right threads or answer in this one.
Thnx!!
Hi Guys,
Last time I tried CM10, I found that the browser crashed a lot on sites with java or flash. Is this still the case with the JB roms? Is this caused by Adobe not supporting Flash for JB, or is the roms themselves that need to be tweaked?
Thanks!
PS F this freaking captcha BS, takes 50 tries to get one right.
I experience similar issues with CM10 (the august build from Droidbasement), including complete lockups.
I've tried it too and it runs nice but, yes it has some problems in the browser so i just switch back to official. But theres a possbility that the problem its in the kernel, so maybe when they port a1 kernel to cm10 it could resolve that, they alredy port it to cm9 i guess time will say...
I get an exclamation work on videos when I watch flash videos on either Firefox beta / AOSP browser when watched in full screen.
I have latest flash 11.1.115.20 sideloaded. Anyone facing similar issues? I am trying to watch videos from watchop.com [ If anyone could verify if they can watch videos from this site and let me know is it just me would be great ]
Using PA 2.2 with latest faux kernel.
Yeah, i get it everytime, nomatter what site i am on
Gets a bit annoying
I flashed the CM10 with Tablet UI ROM by z1gackly and it works awesome now, flash flawlessly on full screen on asop browser :victory:. Dunno what the issue is with PA 2.2.
I have that problem with the version of flash you are using.I use an older version and it works fine full screen.Try installing the older flash version 11.1.115.12. It works best for me with the browser.
James-NC: The is no issue with latest flash, I am using latest one and it is in fact better much smoother. I flashed a different ROM and issue got fixed.
The newer versions always crash if I go to full screen on most websites.I tried several different versions and the old one always works full screen. Not saying it will be the same for everyone just giving the OP an option that works best on my tablet.
The new one worked great before the jb upgrade but I have not been able to get it to work full screen since the upgrade.I am running stock.
