I have read these forums for a long time but this is my first post. I recently updated the JI6 via the official T-Mobile over the air method. I have been on JI6 for two days now and have noticed that my battery life is terrible. Usually I am able to make it through a day of average use without any problems and I charge at night. Yesterday my phone did not make it through the day and it was a low use day at that. When I got home from work I started charging the phone, before bed I unplugged it and figured it would be no problem to just leave it in standby all night, my previous experience was that a night of standby only dropped my battery by a few percent. When I got up and looked at my phone before leaving for work it had already dropped to 21%, I looked at the battery usage statistics and found that Cell Standy and Phone idle had leapfrogged over display which is usually the biggest draw of power and were now using significantly more power than even the display. Also I do not live in an area of poor cell phone reception so that could not have contributed to this.
My phone was pretty much stock besides being rooted to run the WiFi tether. My wife also has the same phone and she said she is experiencing pretty much the same thing since the JI6 update.
Below is the list of the top 4 batter using processes were on my phone and their percentages.
Cell Standby 41%
Phone idle 30%
Display12%
Android System 9%
Is anyone else experiencing similar battery usage since the JI6? Is there a known problem with this JI6? Has T-Mobile or Samsung acknowledged this problem? Any suggestions for fixing the problem at least until Froyo comes out?
Perhaps others can post their experiences with battery performance post JI6 here as well so we can get a consensus.
The radio in JI6 is stronger than previous versions to help with reception. That being said, it drains battery more. However, the stats your provided seem to point to you having apps on your phone that are pulling internet information too often. My cell standy or phone idle is never higher than my display and I do use widgets and apps that update a lot.
There just seems to be a bug somewhere that causes random drain, I've seen what people are saying about and I pulled the battery, it stopped draining for me until I guess I trigger it again.

I do have some apps that are pulling data down from time to time, but I have been careful about setting these apps to not update too frequently. Also last night I specifically went in and closed any unwanted running apps, I think the only apps I left running were Seesmic, K9 Mail, and Gmail.
This thread is precisely the reason for why:
a) I finally registered to xda-developers for support
b) I decided to root my Vibrant
I received the JI6 OTA update around 5 AM on Wednesday, thinking *oh sweet this must be 2.2* I didn't hesitate to install it...the first 24 hours after didn't seem to show much signage of battery drain, but by Thursday morning things seemed...off.
6:00 AM - 100% charge, fresh off the cord
Around 11-noon - 15%, low battery notification pops up
This was by far the quickest drain I've seen, and even though I've only had my Vibrant for a month...right out of the box I was getting spectacular batt. performance with light-moderate use + wifi + sync, lowest brightness*(auto off), somewhere around 24-30 hours.
My initial reaction was to reset to factory, only to discover here that it did absolutely nothing to remove the JI6 update.
Now, post-root I've been reading through similar threads about the OTA effects and finding all types of tricks to extend the batt. life. Today the battery hasn't been as bad (with nearly everything off...sync, intervals, gps, blah blah), lasting around 11 hours. Not sure if there's any fix in sight, though I'm not really anticipating it reading how the cell standby / baseband is cranking out more power and in effect more juice.
My battery is about the same as before, getting 24-30 hours out of normal use. I'm currently 14.5 hours unplugged sitting at 42%

Flashed JI6 via Odin, and my battery life has sucked since. Talking on the phone kills it especially fast. I talked for about 45 mins yesterday morning and the battery gave out after 7 hours. Today it at least lasted 12 hours, but that was with pretty much everything turned off. Anyone flashed back to JFD? It's not like JI6 brought anything to the table.
My battery drains while idle after the update. Yet my wife's phone battery is fine. Hers is stock and mine is rooted with mobile AP flashed. I even reconditioned the battery.
Tonight I decided to flash bionix 1.91 rom to see if that would fix the battery drain issue. So far it's looking good. I'll know better tomorrow after a full charge.
JI6 installed Media Hub, right?
Sprint Epic users found that when Media Hub was installed on that platform a couple of revs back, it loaded a DRM background service that is constantly running even if Media Hub is never used. It is now pretty standard practice among knowledgeable Epic users to stop the DRM service whenever the phone boots. Many rooted users go further and delete it.
Vibrant users might try the same methods to improve battery life.
My battery usage has been fine. I installed through mini kies though rather then the ota.

It totally sucks for me. I have tested it throughly this past week. Ran JDF and left it idle over night, barely lose any battery life. Update to JI6 via kies mini and lost 30% over night while i'm sleeping. I also tested the various versions of JI6 posted on xda and all of them give me horrible battery life (losing 3-5% per hour doing nothing).
I'm flashing the JDF modem file on the JI6 from kies mini. Will report back...
Again I'm completely confused here. Running stock JI6, went to sleep last night at 24%, woke up this morning at 21%

I removed mediahub via titanium and a bunch of bloatware while I was at it yesterday morning, I can report that last night before dozing off (11:45 pm) battery was at 90%, this morning (8:30 am) its at 63%...37% loss in almost 9 hours. Only wifi on throughout the night:
Display: 41% (brightness 0)
Cell standby: 27%
Phone idle: 19%
Android system: 7%

That makes no sense, if you're on WiFi it wouldn't be the cause of this. Are you sure it's set to be on WiFi 100% of the time/when the screen is off?
That's ridiculous, something is awry

Switching to bionix 1.91 stock kernel solved my idle battery drain issue. I was losing ~4% an hour and now with bionix it's not draining. Unplugged the phone this morning at 100% and an hour later it was still at 100%. Same as before the JI6 update. I'm happy now. Bionix is smooth as butter.

Does anyone else see the irony or possible logic that Samsung gave us a stronger modem that uses more power and a new task manager to monitor what else is running draining power with the Ji6 update? Granted there are better task managers for root, but kinda clicks in my head.
Also after all my settings have been checked, apps, wifi sleep (used OCLF), widgets and internet, syncing frequency, wallpaper etc. I used Rom Manager to recalibrate my batteries. I thought that the battery data might have been wiped during the update and at first my phone behaved like it.
All good now. I'll never have the stand by of a flip phone, but it all seems reasonable. I use my phone a lot, a real lot. I go through 2-3 charges a day, mostly 2. I have extra batteries also. Stand buy time almost seems better, but I have not recorded data and I have made many changes.
Theres a good thread a dude put up in the Vibrant general section about his anal battery saving habits, he uncovered more ideas and things I didn't know. Hes admitedly extreme put its a good read. Also a couple of threads on how to recal the battery, some disagreement there so I did not chime in here with specs.
I have enjoyed using kernels from geeknik, jt and Adrynalyne and have been using them since I picked up my Fascinate since September. I have been using this phone along with juice defender and juice plotter as well, an it has had a great impact on battery life. One thing I noticed back on Di01 was that the standby on this phone was phenomenal. There have been time where I have only lost 3% over 12 hours with the combination of juice defender. However, since I have upgraded to DJ05 and DL09, it would have the same standby for 3 or four hours then precipitously drop 10-15% on standby in around a half an hour. I notice this on juice plotter. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this, and if it may be something with this rom or a particular kernel. I am running Adryn's 12/30 kernel and I have tried jt's kernels and stupidfast when it was being used as well. I also used Adryn's 12/16 and 12/17 voodoo kernels with no difference. Any takers? I am also apologizing for this being posted in development. Was jumping on tabs between development and general and put this in the wrong section. It's kind of late.
Try a cache wipe and wipe the battery stats too in cwm the kernels themselves are fine and the undervolting will give you better battery life than not
Has to be your phone or battery.
I'm dj05 voodoo with juice defender, on standby for over 3 hours I well lose at most 1%
Newb question. What is considered standby? Hitting the power button thus turning the screen off and locking it?

Yes.

I have done the battery wipe, but not with the cache. I don't think it's the battery because it was working great before. Had two fascinates with shot batteries and I know the difference haha. I'll try the combo of cache and stats wipe. I thought it was strange too because there should have been nothing short of the screen on full blast and a demanding game that could make the battery draw down like that. I'll give it a few days and see what happens. Thanks for the replies.
You and me both brother. But I don't use juice defender. I'm actually resorting to turning off data to save battery once school is back in session.
I hear ya. What I love about juice defender is that it keeps the data off most of the day and pings the network for data for one minute every 15 or whenever you want it to. I was doing great on it before. I recommend it pretty highly... unless it is actually the culprit for my battery drain haha. I was using doubletwist, but noticed in the logs it was using 45% of my battery some days without me even using the app. Keep a lookout for that everyone. Not an app you'd expect to be doing that.
I am having the same battery issues. I don't think it started after my bump to DJ05. It was definitely the worst when I ran StupidFast 12.20, after rolling back to StupidFast 1.56, it improved a lot. Still not as good as it was in the before time, in the long, long ago.
I did wipe my batt stats, but not my cache, so please let me know if that makes a difference. Battery life is everything.
Well, I'm DJ05 and voodoo, and have had a terrible battery life ever since I upgraded. I just installed juice defender and ultimate juice this morning, and in about 3 hours, I've lost about 12 percent battery... that's with moderate usage, so I'll keep this going and see whether it actually lasts to the end of the day.
Update:
Well, it seems to have actually helped a decent amount... while my phone was idling for about 5 hours, I lost about 5 percent battery. But, under heavy usage later tonight, it went down a lot faster. So, for anyone having these problems, these two programs seem to help, at least while idling.
Experiencing the same issues. Yesterday I went from 76% to 38% in 5 hours with moderate use. Before DJ05 I used to be able to get atleast 15 hours of moderate use on a full charge. Now I get about 10 if I'm lucky. I've tried various kernels. I used to run geekniks on DI01 with no problems. Thought it was voodoo, but since have removed it and am running geekniks 1.54. Not sure what's going on. I'm wondering if it is because I am using the stock DJ05 w/ certain apps removed......
jv
edit: Since unplugging from car charger not even an hour ago, I've lost 11%! I've used my phone just to do about 10 minute Google chat and gotten about 5 emails. I'm almost tempted to go back to DI01......
edit: Unplugged at 10:30 from car charger and now at 31%! this truly sucks. I won't be able to last a day with the phone like this. May have to go back to DI01 and put up with the GPS.....
I have noticed the same since I went to DJ05, what I am running is in my signature, I noticed the other day I was watching a movie with 54% batter left and 1hr and 30mins later I was down to 15% batter power left... is watching a movie that demanding? My screen res is as low as can go on the stock adjuster,
Well I unplugged at 6:30 and I am 75% and it is 3:25. Not that bad, but from 7:30 to 10 I went from 93% to 80% all on stand by. Then 8 went from 80 to to 75 from 10 to 3:25 also on standby. Makes no sense really. It seems to just have random times where the phone just eats battery on standby for no reason. It does tempt me to downgrade and yes, this is not official for a reason. I wish there was something that could be done about it. I don't want to give up my Gps

My phone was down to 9% at 8:30 with pretty light usage. I'm hoping that there is something in the new DL05 build that will help with this. DL05, for me, has been having lightning quick gps lock ons. As quick a my og droid was actually. I just can't give that up though. I have been tracking this for a while, so I was curious to see if others had the same issue. Glad to see that I was able to bring this to people's attention.
My battery sucks as well no matter what I try with DJ05 or DL09.

I had absolutely terrible battery using the Stupidfast kernels after 1.54. It seems like most posting about poor battery life are using one of his kernels. I switched to Adrynalynes 12/30 and have MUCH better battery life. Maybe 2% per hour loss on standby and went about 30 hours with moderate use. I suggest you guys try this kernel or JT's.
Edit: Just FWIW anytime you use the GPS the battery is going to be raped. I think I used about 30% in less than an hour while geocaching. I was really shocked.
I am seeing the same thing as KenKeno. The stupidfast kernels sucked my phone dry so I gave up on them back in december. I'm using JT's 12/30 and went 35 hours with light to moderate usage. I don't use juice defender or anything like that either.
One other thing I noticed about the stupidfast kernals was that they tend to slow down the longer you go with out a reboot. Jt's kernals don't feel like they do this. So, maybe just give jt's kernals or adrynalynes (just an undervolted version of jt's kernal) a shot, they feel just as snapy to me. boot times maybe a little longer but that doesn't really matter does it?
So I upgraded my Pre for the EVO when it came out and have been using the same phone and battery since getting it. I found XDA and immediately started rooting and flashing. I started with Fresh and DC when those were about the only options. I use my phone fairly heavily as I am almost always listening to downloaded radio shows either thru a plugged in headset or a jawbone icon BT set. I would say that I averaged about 8 hours of battery life no matter what ROM and kernel combo I tried. This is everything from Fresh, DC, Virus, Warm, CM6, EViO, Evo-NonSense, MIUI, and all of the applicable kernels. The best I had gotten with all of the various combos was a little over 16 hours (with an SBC kernel), which I thought was AWESOME! Needless to say, I used Warm TwoPointTwo (including betas) for a while and touted its look, feel, performance, ease of use, and feature set alongside an SBC kernel.
I ALWAYS keep an eye on the development section for something to pique my interest and pull me away from my current setup. After trolling Lucid's thread for cm7 for a while, I took the dive when the official cm7 nightlies started rolling out. I have been with cm7 ever since. I also took advantage of savage and zendroid kernels and now savaged zen.
The longest I have gone so far is 2 days 10 hours! How? Well...conservative governor on an SBC savaged zen kernel and toggling mobile data off when not in use. Will that same setup work for you? Maybe. Unfortunately all EVO' s are not created equal.
Moral of the story? It takes alot of time, reading, and work to find the thing that works for your EVO. It was a pain to find the right combo, but it is worth all the work.
Thanks for your post. When you got the battery to last over 2 days, it looks like the phone mostly sat there, am I seeing that incorrectly?
I, like you, have tried all different things with the Evo trying to get battery and performance. I am locked on MIUI right now, it gives me the best of both worlds. If you want to try a Sense rom, try Ava's stuff. When I get "bored" with MIUI I will go back to Ava.

God will kill a kitten if you switch from MIUI. You don't want that on your conscience now, do you?
Yeah it really depends on your usage without it the 2 days 10 hours don't mean much. 2 days is no problem if I only use it to make a couple of calls. every 8 hours it only loses 4% charge when untouched with autosync on. The evo battery isn't bad it just takes tweaking like the op says
I get on average two complete days on a charge. With heavy usage I het like a day and a half, with light usage I can go 3 days. MIUI 1.1.28 w/ savage 1.6 kernel. I used to shut off my data too when I wasn't using it but with the MIUI build I'm on, I don't need to.
I really don't trust the battery use(in settings) in CM7 at ALL. I had my phone plugged into my car charger for 45mins on the way home tonight I unplugged it at 7:38pm.
It is now two hours later(10pm) it is showing I have been unplugged for10h55m9s on the posted screenshot. Then if you look at the other screenshot my battery indicator pro is showing the correct amount of time since unplugged.
I've noticed that the battery stats in cm7 do not reset unless you fully charge your phone. Otherwise it continues the count even if you plug a charger in.

MetalHead, do you overclock/undervolt? If so, would you mind sharing your settings? Lastly, have you noticed an increase in browser speeds since you flashed MIUI and tweaked your settings?
I know I need to come up with something. my battery drain is friggin' horrid.
Unplug @ 100%, turn the screen on, let it sit with nothing, pretty much, running in the background and in 10 minutes will be down to about 93%....

I overclock at 1152 with smartass governor 98% of the time. Savage 1.6 is a HAVS kernel so I guess technically it is undervolted. I honestly couldn't tell you about the browser speeds, I've been on MIUI since the beginning of November so I really have no clue what the browser speed on a Sense ROM is. Everything is a lot faster with MIUI so I'm assuming my browser speeds have also increased.

This is typical, unless you use an SBC kernel, bump charge your phone, or unplug it exactly when the light turns green.
Any non-SBC kernel will not keep the phone at 100% charge while on the charger. Some will argue that doing so is dangerous for the battery or methods like bump charging put too much wear on the battery.
This is most likely the reason that phone companies rarely have a true percentage shown on their batteries, because they all do this. If we didnt mod to get that real number shown, you would think your phone was acting just fine.
Personally, if I am really going to be using my phone a ton in one day, Ill bump charge it, but otherwise I just accept that its going to drop that first 10% really fast.
The best measure imo of battery performance is how much % you lose when the battery is somewhat discharged, and off. Every phone will drain while you use it, but most of the hours of a day, your phone is off and idle. If you lose 1% per hour, or 5% per hour, that will make a huge difference in your up time per charge.
Unfortunately, mine doesn't stop at that 10%. For instance, mine came off the charger at 5:30 AM at 100%.
By Noon, it was down to 70%, and I had 1 - 3 minute call, no texts and maybe 20 minutes of playing Klondike before work.
I guess I'm gonna have to go SBC. Worst that can happen is I end up buying a new battery, just incase it does so it in.
So in 10 minutes you drop 7%, and in the next 6 1/3 hours you drop another 23% with moderate use?
That sounds like pretty typical battery results to me, thats about 26 hours uptime with a fair amount of use. But maybe others could chime in.
Dude, 5 hands of a card game is NOT moderate use. It's practically no use. Klondike doesn't use data, GPS, etc... nothing, except minimal graphics.
The one phone call literally lasted less than 5 mins, so yes, a phone that drops 30% doing nothing is drastic.
I seem to get pretty good battery life on Myns rom.
I can go at least 24 hours with moderate usage, all on the stock kernel.
Looks like I may have found a little better stability with the Netarchy-Toast CFS 4.3.2 Havs SBC less.
30 minutes of moderate use today and it only dropped 5%
The best battery life I have gotten is from Feb 09 Plutonium.
Miks 4.5 4.2 sbc, gps on updating all every hour call, text, surf, angry birds all freaking day, and get 14 to 16hours every day
MIUI
Wow i have been wanting to try MIUI for a while and i definitely will now.
I'm getting pretty bad battery life with MIUI 2.11 on hw 003. Can anyone recommend a good kernel? I'm hesitant to try the SBC kernels based on the potential battery damage, so savaged-zen is out, also savage-zen seems to have issues with usb mounting.
Is there a link to savage 1.6 CFS, which I've read in a number of threads now is a good one. Speed is not imp, stability, bt+usb working and battery life is.
I have the device on auto-brightness settings. I will say that the auto-brightness IS pretty bright with EC05. MUCH brighter than other versions. Anyone else noticing this?
I came from EB13 and I got excellent battery life. So far, today, while getting full bars:
Time on: 7 Hours 21 minutes since unplugged
Time on display: 56 minutes (86%)
Voice calls: 8 minutes
Total battery left: 32%. That's a far cry from what I was getting with EB13.
Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with this version! Although, EB13 was awesome as well. I just had a bit more force closes here and there on EB13.
Took mine off the charger around 8am with moderate use mine tanked around 6. I also live in an excellent 3G/4G area.

Its probably the brightness broham. Try turning it on manual and keep it as low as possible. The screen is the biggest stress on the battery. The brighter the background the worse the battery life as well.
re: waiting a while... the battery gets 'conditioned'... look up one of the MANY threads on that subject on here... some you have to be an astrophysicist to understand, but interesting nonetheless. Re: brightness, yeah, turn it on manual, set it on lowest poss setting, indoors most of the time its plenty bright, and if your ROM didnt disable it (idunno why they would) hold down your status bar and a little drop thingy comes down, slide L or R for brightness, like for outside, or if you really wanna make an EVO user sad and show off the AMOLED mmmmm..... contrast ratio and black levels....
This is some of the best battery life I have gotten out of this phone period. Its so good I dont even want to flash a custom ROM. I have brightness turned down. F that auto brightness..I hate that feature. I unplugged today at 6 in the morning...Played on it before work....Played while at work.....Some more after work...A little while driving...(dont judge me) ....... And now Im on it playing poker online. I love it. Im so serious about not flashing a custom ROM. I am loving this new update and its battery life.

This is EXACTLY my usage patterns and battery for the last 2 days. The only way I'm getting 14 hours out of this thing is if I don't turn it on once. And fixing the brightness isn't going to help me too much if it loses 80% just sitting there idle is it? I'm pretty close to just flashing it back to DI18, declining updates (or flashing the Syndicate rom from that era) and just living with it. For the record, I also had miserable battery with everything DK28 and EB13. Perhaps my phone just doesn't like Froyo?

I keep hearing about not all batteries are equal I wonder how true that is. I just flashed the ACS SyndicateROM Frozen 1.0.2 and I am curious to see how my battery life is on the road tomorrow..errr...today at this point.
I know if I am using it off and on pretty constantly I get no more than 6hours with moderate activity (email, web, occasional phone call) we will see what happens now that I am on this ROM.
I told myself I wouldn't go to a non-factory ROM but this is stable, runs the processor with less power @1GHz and with the click of a button you have on-demand 1.2GHz.
A few other things I noticed is the interface is MUCH snappier even though I am using the TouchWiz launcher and the "Fully Loaded" Version I can't wait to see how it goes.
After 2 days on EC05 my battery life is ok, but not as good as when I used a custom undervolting kernel. After 12 hours I'm at about 40%. Today I'm going to try using setCPU to run a different profile and see if it works or makes a difference.

8 hours of standby time and I've burned 5.25% of battery per hour.
Wifi on 99% of the time and within range. Policy = never sleep
Same usage for the weekend on DI18 I'd be around ~85% rather than my current 57%.
My battery life is even worse for work days when I have Lotus Notes Traveler sync scheduling every 15 minutes.
DI18 end % of 8 hours of work = ~70-75%
EC05 end % of 8 hours of work = ~43%

Just to follow up, I flashed back to Bonsai 4.0 and unplugged at the same time today(8AM.) it's now 8:00p and I'm at 66% battery with just about the same amount of moderate usage.

Take it in and tell the sprint rep. Maybe you could get a new battery for free. if not you may want to buy one.
Automatic Brightness says that it will hurt your battery more then manually setting your brightness. Gosh, no wonder why so many people complain about battery life. No one can read anymore. Seriously, my battery life is the exact same as DI18 as it is on EC05. Learn how to use your phone efficiently.
Also take into account EC05 is Froyo, and DI18 is Eclair. A big difference in how they have to be treated. You will hurt your battery more doing certain things in Froyo then you did in Eclair, one example is Task Killing.
And if you dare to have the nerve to disagree with me, I'll redirect you to "Poor Battery Life" threads from EVERY SINGLE DEVICE on XDA. I doubt every carrier and company is making the battery life horrible, nah just the users.
Does that mean we should NOT kill tasks on froyo?
hold down your status bar and a little drop thingy comes down, slide L or R for brightness, [/QUOTE]
See, thanks for that info. I thought that feature was disabled on froyo builds. Even with you saying it works, its very rare that it works for me. On 2.1 it was so easy to swipe and adjust it....

I'm getting some pretty good battery life with ec05 so far. Right now I'm at 13% battery and here's the usage:
23hrs 39mins
display 78%, 1hr 49mins
cell standby 12%, tws 30% (I still get that bug from time to time, but not always like before)
voice calls 7% 19mins
phone idle 4% 21hrs 50mins
I had odin'd back to di18 and got ec05 ota friday morning, still not even rooted. I keep brightness at the lowest setting and use a black background.

Yes, you should not kill task or applications at all in froyo.

Hello guys, my issue is after i update my phone to 2.3.3 the battery life is going weak and weak, it's get empty after few hours event if i disable WiFi connection and user lower brightness.
Now it's won't be full power even if i let's the phone plugged all the night i found just between 80% and 70%
Is my battery getting weak or it's because of the update?

I had the same problems with the stock rom. I switched to Wolfbreak's rom and the battery life is excellent
I had the same problem, I did 2 things that helped me.
First- I used Set CPU to use the "on demand" Governor in the scaling window of the main page. The smartass gov. in the 2.3 update wasn't good for the way I use my phone. Check set on boot. If you don't every boot will set back to smartass.
Second I got the free battery calibrator from the market and followed the instructions.
Make sure you wait for battery to reach 100% even when charge led turns green, WAIT for 100%
I hope this helps you, it helped me alot.
First, i've never been impressed with the battery life on this phone. When I first got it, it had 1.6 loaded. I rode that out for about a year or so and then thanks to this forum I grew a pair and flashed over to 2.1. Still not impressed. So when I first heard GB was coming to the X10 I got antsy....I lost my patience after a week went by once SE starting the 2.3 rollout and nothing was made available for me and decided to flash to WB v3 version of GB. Still wasn't impressed.
But yesterday I decided to give that Battery recalibration app a try and here's my initial feedback.
I started the recalibration process yesterday at work, charged it up to 100%, ran the app (which basically wipes the battery stats), unplugged my phone and ran the battery all the way down until it died on it's own, which finally happened last night about 7 or 8pm. I immediately put it on the charger and let it charge up. I fell asleep with it on the charger and when I woke up at 1:30am I looked at it and it was at 100% so I disconnected the charger and locked the screen, fell back asleep. I woke up this morning at about 7am and still had 100% charge. It's at 87% right now and I've had wifi on since I got up, made a couple short calls, posted a couple times online from it, did some file system editing...not heavy use at all but considering I never had anything less than 3% drop just sitting overnight, i'm pretty impressed that i'm at 87% right now.
