Sorry for post this twice but there's few people see my previous thread.
When I connect my nook color to pc, nook shows that usb debuging is conected now, but on my pc neither the hardware manager shows something like android device nor other app detect this.
And when I manually unselect the usb debuging and reselect,it just shift to the usb mass storage page.I dont know why.
I am running the newest cm7.1 RC1
Sorry for my bad English, Please help!!Thanks!!
Mine seems to be doing the same thing

Are you sliding up the notification bar and tapping on the USB notification? Once you do that, it allows you to enable USB mode and your nook color drives will show up in windows. When finished, be sure to safely eject your device in windows before turning off USB mode to properly exit USB debugging. If you don't, USB debugging wont turn off and you may end up crashing.
Nevermind.

Thank you for your response but the issue is that adb debug bridge is not enabling even though it indicates its enabled in notification bar, and is enabled in development settings.

You might just try and updated nightly, as I'm not having that issue. I think I'm running 107, but there are several newer version out now.

Can you use the Galaxy, with a USB connection running in the background, without having the USB locking screen with the big USB image on it ?
You could do this with my old Windows mobile no problem, am I doing something wrong ?
Not in the KIES mode
How then ?
Just connect in usb mode and it should work. It does for me anyway.

Go into your USB settings and set it to Always Ask... then whe you connect the phone to PC, if you just want to charge it.... don't select Any options. just hit the back button on the bottom right
So I have set it up to ask, I have tried to select each one and the only one that connects me is the kies option, with the big USB images...why is it so weird, surely you put the usb in and it connects why all these options...sorry confused
yea what does "media player" mean in usb connection settings?
I'm having problems getting the phone to mount 100% of the time in Mass Storage mode. Occasionally it'll connect, but especially it seems when it's plugged in with the EVO it just won't get a connection. It charges fine, it shows up as a drive, but it doesn't give me access to any files or anything.
I'm using the USB drivers from the Samsung webpage specifically for the Epic 4G.

Try that. For some reason I couldn't mount my phone as a drive until I turned off USB debugging. Settings -> applications -> development (i believe)
I have windows 7 64bit and it works every single time now. I've transferred tons of stuff. I never even formatted my card.
RE
I couldn't get it to connect (driver installed incorrectly etc) when connecting the phone to the front port of my PC, but it worked immediately when I plugged it into the rear of the desktop.

I can contest to this disable usb debugging.
USB debugging has been disabled, used multiple ports, etc. and still having problems. Reinstalled drivers, manually added drivers, nothing is biting. I've also tried disabling driver signing, doing everything I can with that off and still nothing. Windows 7 Ult 64-bit in case you're curious.
Just got my Epic and had the same problem. Oddly enough though it worked with other USB ports on my computer, just not the front/top ports.
I've seen this problem before, I just cant remember where though.
Hmm, i have a Mac and the memory card is not mounting at all. had to take out microSD card and use USB card reader. Had no problems with other HTC Android phones connecting to my Mac (Hero, Evo).
Install USB Driver for the Epic.

Epic USb drivers? I doubt thats needed. Maybe a updated USB driver for your computers USB ports.
Try a different usb cable I had the same issues changed the cable and no more link issues at all.
This is a rather common problem it seems like. I fixed it by using a powered USB hub. Also try using a different port, certain ports seem to not have the power needed even if the phone looks connected.

I recently acheived s-off with AlphaRevX and then rooted and installed CM7 With HCDR Kernel 4.2. Whenever i plug my phone into the computer, only USB debugging will appear on the screen, not the option to choose USB Storage device or USB tether. Anyone know what to do.
Much appreciated,
-SP89
It's different from the HTC Sense ROMs. Pull down the notification bar, and you will see the option to enable USB Storage device there. USB Tethering is there somewhere inside settings.
If, after pulling down the notification bar, you still dont get the option, reflash the ROM, and, keep the stock kernel. Dont flash Jacob's kernel.
Its because your using HCDR Kernel 4.2 I had the same problem, you need to be using the stock kernel mate. Just reflash CM from recovery and it'll sort it for you! As far as i know CM 7.0.3 has an overclock kernel built in to it, you can adjust the overclock from CM settings. Good luck!
Thanks!
Thanks! Just Doing it now!
Unfortunately in some cases this has nothing to do with the kernel and is merely a bug in the rom, i had the same issue, no matter what kernel was used no usb mass storage would appear in the notifications, what i did to solve this was to download a 3rd party widget button that turns on mass storage when pressed and turns it off when pressed again, hope this helps, i got annoyed with cm7 and whent back to sense
It's OK it works now!
Just to confirm, on CM7 you can *only* get USB Connection to computer for files only?
I've not got tethering or other things.
Yes, Tethering is inside Settings > Wireless and Networks > Tethering and Portable Hotspot > USB Tethering. It's not part of the USB Popup notification as on the default ROM.
That makes sense, thank very much!
I use tetering a lot. But on cm7 just dont work. Some ideas what to do?

As already said, tethering option is inside settings.
For usb tethering u can also use pdanet or easy tether.
And for Bluetooth or wifi tethering u can use the app "wireless tether".

I know where is and try to connect ... ok now, problem is whit drivers. If debug is on,tetering going on,but comp whants drivers. See wf like a new hardware.

Yep. I think now I understood.
For drivers, install HTCDriver_2.0.7.17.exe
This file will be 13MB and will be given to u in the memory card at the time of wildfire purchase. If u lost it make a google search and install it. There are other methods also for having drivers. One is htc sync, and another is through adb sdk-manager. The easiest is htc driver above.
(And if u use pdanet or easy tether they have pc versions which have inbuilt drivers. )

I dont know on the Vision, but on the Wildfire, it doesnt work like that. You have to pull down the notification bar, select "transfer files to/from the computer", and only then the Popup Window with the Android appears, and, provides an option to enable disk mode.
When I connect my Wildfire to the PC, there is simply a notice on the notification bar - USB Connected. You could try and check your cradle settings?
i solve tetering problem like this. flesh cm 7.1.0 rc1 and work perfect. have problem whit my xp. now, perfect
Hi
My problem is that when I connect my sm-n900v to my laptop no usb icon showing up in notification bar device only charge.
I removed the driver and install it again not working.
I disable usb debugging not working and enable it not working
anyone know how to fix this problem?
I'm having the same problem. This started only after lollipop update. Device charges, but laptop does not "see" usb connection. Nothing in system tray. Nothing in device manager. Current version Kies just installed, but doesn't see phone when connected. Restarted both laptop and device disconnected and connected.
SM-N900V Android 5.0
Windows 7
Don't have a clue how to fix this. Any ideas? Thanks!
Thought I'd post my update. While my original USB 3 data/charging cord seems to charge flawlessly & quickly when plugged into the correct 12v OE wall charging adaptors, there is apparently a problem with data transfer. I think the cord I'd OK, but its loose when inserted into the port on the device. If I hold it JUST so, it works fine. I suggest patient cord manipulation to determine if this might be the problem for others as well. Might be hardware repair time.

Hi
I found this solution and it's work now
With the device plugged in:
Dial ##366633#(##DMMODE#)
Disable DM Mode
Disable USB Debugging Mode (Menu> Settings> Developer Options)
If you don't see Developer Options, Enable them by going to Menu> Settings> About Device and Tap "Build Number" 7 times. This will enable Developer Options.
Allow Drivers to load completely. This can take up to 5 minutes.
Device should now appear in device manager as Samsung Mobile USB CDC Composite Device
Now..With the phone still plugged in, turn off and turn on (Restart the device )
Again allow the drivers to load.
you will see the usb icon showing up in your device..

You will have to do this everytime you unplug,(or set a shortcut on homescreen to open setting panel)

Do you have the drivers for the phone installed?
Umm, yes. But thats not the problem. It's just... My computer cant see my phone. Mtp connection works just fine, but it seems like ADB isnt enabled, but it clearly is. So it acts like its turned off (no Android Phone Device in dev manager)
I hope this clears up
Sounds just as kirito9 said. You are missing the Lg connection drivers.
Try installing this http://www.mediafire.com/download/g...leDriver_S50MAN311AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.11.3.exe
