you can make your own lockscreen with widgetlocker and then add a camera shortcut
i know yet i forces me to put in my password thxs anyways
did u look through settings to try and make it bypass the lock? i could of swore you could do that.

There's nothing in settings to enable that. I've been looking into that as well because using a camera shortcut slows down the lockscreen.

I have seen some pic of the HTC lock screen have unlock and silence option..
like the picture below..
is this only work on root phone? or can download from market or install by ourself??
That is standard Froyo lockscreen.
You can try to put it with lockscreen replacement apps (like lockbot)

Correction, that is standard Android's lockscreen. The swiping up/down lockscreen is Sense.

ahh ok thx so i can just go and download lockbot to replace that?? no need to root or anything?
Yes, no need for root access, just install them like a normal app.
Some other lockscreen replacements are lock 2.0 or Simply lockscreen
Bear in mind that it doesn't actually replace your lockscreen. It just gets in the lockscreens' way. It's very clever, and worth a look into. Just bear in mind that it doesn't always work
Hi guys im new to the forum and, i dont know much around. Could you guys tell me how i could change the lock screen to standard 2.2 Froyo lock screen? I dont want to use the Sense lock screen and i have already tried out lockbot which fails to work miserably.
Thnx Guys ^^
Damn thanks button..., try widget locker, you can also mod it as well if you want to.
Thnx for replying but unfortunately i cant pay for it. Is there anything for free except widget locker and lockbot free?

I'm sure you'll be able to find it on google or on the internet somewhere , and lockbot is crap imo.
Also the widgetlocker website allows you to pay for it via paypal. http://teslacoilsw.com/widgetlocker
I've got default android lock screen by using wildpuzzle + remove htc widgets package.
Just wondering weather to use widget locker or try and mod this one.
Kevin, do you think widget locker will work better without the htc lockscreen?
i shyed away from it in the past because it would show up when screen was locked and unlocked within the 5secs...
Yes it works perfect with the stock android lockscreen, it never shows up after i unlock widget locker.
Just don't forget to enable 5 second root rule just in case.

A lot of thnx for the link and I really appreciate the replies, just one more thing how can i install app to my phone from the computer?
first go to settings -> applications and enable uknown sources....then copy the app to your sd card ...when you do all that use any file manager and go to your sd card and find the app you want to install...then just click on it
use the market app to download a file manager if you dont have one jet
sorry for my english
I've tried the widget locker app, but after the unlocking, annoying animation of flying squares in shades of gray appears. is that normal? how to disable it?
Realy stupid, isn't it I was wondering myself what the hell that was, and when it was raining a saw a very crapy animation of droplets falling on my screen. So the square thing is a weather animation - i think it's supose to tell you that it is cloudy outside
Just look in the setting, you will find an option somewhere where you can choose to show the animation at every screen, show it just when unlocking the home screen or disable it.
Erwin
Why you dont use WidgetLocker Lockscreen v1.2.8.1 ...you can find it on web for free and if you dont I send it to you!
oh so that was the weather animation...thought it was a bug, thnx!

i have the same problem....apperantly you have to disable weather animations but i don't know where
Edit: sorry didnt see the solution from ErwinP
Please beware that using the camera shortcut on the lockscreen allows you only to use a subset of the camera features and also turns off location tagging even if you have enabled it. I found this out the hard ware after turning it on in the main camera app then using the lockscreen shortcut to take a load of photos around London over easter - None of them had the location tags in the images! You will also notice that you can't use many other features such as selctive focus & HDR mode via the shortcut as they are greyed out....
I have now removed the camera shortcut from the lockscreen..
I'm sure Samsung had there reasons for doing this but it is a real PITA. Let's hope they fix it in the future...
It depends on your security settings.

I was just thinking it could be security setting locking out functions. But after testing it with a pattern setting I get all the the camera functions.

Security reason. Take a look on the gallery shortcut when you enter the camera without fingerprint scan or unlock pattern. You don't have acces to the gallery, you will see only photos made by you. We can't make selective focus because it needs some further edition, propably.
Ahh, makes sense now, thanks guys.
Basically, that. A xposed module, build prop?
Thanks!

Install whatever third party camera app you plan on using, then use the lockscreen camera shortcut. It should ask you what camera to open.
If it doesn't go into settings -> apps then open your default camera app. Find open by default, then clear default. After that try the lockscreen shortcut again. Now it should ask which camera to open.

My mistake. Thought you were talking about lockscreen. Sorry I've turned off all the moto gestures.
Here you go, works great on MM. Doesn't bypass pattern (security) screen like stock camera though so if yo have one enabled still have to deal with that

The title says it all.
I've searched and have no information on how to get those off the lock screen.
I'd like to know as well!
There's no way currently as far as I know to change lock screen shotcuts with an unrooted stock OOS phone.
SystemUI Tuner app by Zachary Wander from play store does the job. Just give the permissions with adb. No need to root the phone.

It allows you to pick your app, but I didn't see a "none" option.
Would anyone help this old man and tell how to remove the lock icon from the lock screen?
I was in settings and enabled it and now I can't find it to disable it.
It's under the Fingerprint
You can go to Security & Lock screen > Face unlock and then toggle the "Auto unlock once the screen is on" option.

Did you found a solution?
There's an app called Ava Lockscreen that I use to remove those darn shortcuts & other nonsense. Not affiliated, just like the app.
