Does not work either ....same problem, wen I hit play it goes to the player and I see the status time of the show I'm watching and I hear a second or two of sound but there is no video showing its just black. After the second or two it goes back to the main menu of the Netflix app.

Are you on at least build #74? That's when the nightlies started supporting it:

im on the current stable release not the nightlies

You need to be on rc1 for Netflix to work. Cm7 didn't add compatibility for Netflix until build 75 I believe. May I ask why you are still running 2.3.3 cm7. There's zero wrong with rc1 and you get much better battery life and better performance. And it fixes the Netflix issue. Sooooooo update already. Lol

about to install the latest nightly of CM7 and then the latest netflix apk....lets see if it works..

so far so good. Going to try it off and on throughout the week.

rc1 cm7, it says its been deactivated on this device when trying to watch a movie. richiedaze's apk is the one i tried it on.

I got mine working with the Blue Netflix app but it's not in my app drawer. I always have to do the backdoor route and can't make a shortcut.
Edit: Had to backdoor a different way but was able to make a shortcut.

before i used to get really choppy playback on www.traileraddicts.com
all smooth now. im one happy droider
Currently it displays 10.1 in the market from the tablet but if you click install, another window comes up and shows 10.2 and it works!
Is anyone else who installed it having problems getting it to work?
I installed it from the market, but nothing happens in the browser (Both dolphin and stock).
I opened the apps list and it's not even running. There's no way to open it up and start it. Rebooting didn't help.
What am I doing wrong?
10.2.156.12 -- that shows up after the install.
just installed, market info is outdated, works fine though!
Sweeet.
Tested against the 'top flash sites' of 2011, all are working great!
delete please~

Ok. Got it to work after clearing my browser cache.
Strange.
Anyways, I just watched a couple of trailers on traileraddicts. So much better than the leaked version, but I can't wait for 720p playback!
Installed by using push from market.android.com
Works really well from several discovery.com shows as well as full screen without jerking. So far so good.
Works good. Would be nice to have full resolution video from these sites instead of mobile resolution.

Got it. Didn't remove everything from the leaked flash player, left the lib file. Installed fine once I removed that

If you have the leaked version you must uninstall first. Or you'll get install error. Just a heads up.
What is the best way to uninstall when it doesn't show in the market?

[App] Working Netflix apk

Good news everyone! Netflix finally has an app for android!
The lovely xda gurus even modified it to stop the device check.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076150
Download the second one (device check disabled), install, login and enjoy!
I have already watched 2 eps of invader zim while on my lunch break!
It is work fine on my p509 w/CM7, so hopefully it will work with all optimus one versions.

Thanks! This works great for me. I tried out a few different programs and everything seems to be working.
What kind of bandwidth does Netflix use on a mobile device? When I stream music I use about 60-70 MB/hour. I am wondering if this is something I can use outside my home or just when I have access to wifi.
Thanks.
installs fine, stream starts, but has the "chipmunk" audio issue (playback twice fast), as well as the green bar at the top issue. (P509, rom void#echo, with hwacc.)

Yeah.. some people have had this issue across different models of phone.
Personally, on CM7 from mik, it works fine for me. I wonder if it 2x on froyo and not gingerbread.
So far as bandwidth taken, I don't know yet. I have only done it on wifi so I haven't been paying much attention.

Netflix disappeared from the market

Well, we all know by now that Netflix streaming isn't working with Gingerbread + Sense on our Evos, but now it looks like Netflix pulled the app entirely from the market for us. I've tried searching for it on my phone, and it doesn't show up. When I searched for it in the market on my computer, it says my device isn't compatible.
I hope this means they took it down to fix it, not that they're dropping support for us completely...
Netflix has already told us they are working on a fix. Check twitter or call them. Guy on phone told me their engineers are working with HTC to get this resolved.
I noticed that too, I figured there will be an update soon or theres a bug in the app.
Yeah, it was on there long enough for me to install it, now it's not on there, or on my list of installed apps.
And when an app isn't compatible with the os version you are running it wont show up in your app catalog. The are 3.0 only apps and apps that aren't available in the US that we never see.

haha i didn't update and checked and its gone even from my market.
thankfully still works. I'd imagine by the time my rom gets the update netflix will have the fix in place. Shouldn't take them too long to fix the app. It's clearly a Netflix problem as their app checks the device before allowing streaming to work. Would think that since they are currently specific to device and OS combo's that they only need to add the EVO on 2.3.3 to the accepted list in a sense....
Yeah, Evo is removed now under list of compatible devices.
Thursday... i tried a GB+sense3 ROM... i found the Netflix app in the market.
but was not able to try it.. due to bad data connection.
because of other issues... i went back to WarmZ (froyo with sense)
just checked to see.. and netflix is not there!
glad i still have it

Doesn't show up in my market anymore but the app still streams on CM 7.0.3.1. I wonder if updating the radios has anything to do with the app not working?

Online flash videos is always blank

I have CM7 installed on my mytouch 4g and when I try to view online flash videos the video is blank but I can hear the sound. I reinstalled flash many time and I used many different browers but I cannot seem to get the thing working. Can anyone help me please?
It only shows below a certain resolution. I think it's 240p but don't quote me on that.

You have to go back to flash 10.1. Just search for the apk online.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda premium
I have a similar - but worse - problem. I cannot watch online videos (e.g. from YouTube), but I can also not watch videos that I have stored locally on the SD card. I both cases I can hear the sound but no video is shown.
Installing Flash 10.1 did neither solve the online video nor the local video problem :-(
Use flash 10.2.156.12
cray.

not sure if that was directed at me or someone else; in any case, I tried it and it did not help (neither for online nor for local videos).

Google the 10.1 apk. That one should work for online video. Make sure to reboot tue device after installing the apk. Sd card playback is a different issue.

This thread, post 58-not the op! (posted be killbynature) is what fixed my sound/no picture for on line flash videos a few months ago...am on 10.3 now, faux's aosp without issues...just out of curiosity, which cm7 are you on?

Nope, that doesn't work. Neither does version 10.2.156.12 as was suggested before. Since I have these problems with both online and local videos, I think that it's something more "substantial" than the flash player ...

Today I was able to fix my problem, which was apparently triggered by the kernel I use - DemonSpeed v9. After getting rid of it and going back to the kernel that comes with CM7, why videos all work now (so does my camera, which also no longer work, recently).

Yea, I believe demonsoeed is for sense only. Try an asop kernel, like one of faux asop kernels.

There is indeed a demonspeed kernel for Sense based ROMs; but there is also one for CM7 based ROMs and that's the one I used. SO it does not seem to be a general incompatibility between my kernel and ROM.
Right now, I'll stick with "stock" CM7.1 for a few days and then maybe try the faux kernel ...

Netflix not working?

It used to work fine but now it does not work. I tried wiping the app data with TB but still no dice.
Any ideas?

When you say "does not work", what do you mean?
What are the specific symptoms? E.g. "When I click on the play icon on a video I get an error box saying foo"
Just tested on Stock Xoom 4g. Works fine here.

It doesn't get to the log in page. It just stays at the big netflix logo with the white spiral thinking looking like it is loading but it never does.
Woops, sorry for not having enough detail.
I'm having the same issue. Running Tiamat 2.2.2 Moray, hacked version worked fine, but market version is useless.
Weird... I'm using the market version of Netflix and it's working fine.. Add to that that I'm on Tiamat 2.2.2....
